Has anyone read the Percy Jackson series from Rick Riordan?
Well, I am reading it in class. They are making a movie! I thought it would be good. Ha. To my disdain, they have cast Robert Pattison to play Luke.
Brilliant. Just brilliant. Thank you movie castors for ruining my hapiness.

 Foxby, it's most likely because of the Twilighters. Twilighters fawn over both Robert Pattinson and Edward Cullen, so it's only natural to be dismayed. Should a Twilighter see that movie, they'll begin fawning over the character. Although, I have no doubt they'd say 'But he's not as good as Edward'. It's disgusting, really.

Pardon me, but the Lightning Thief was butchered mythology written by a complete and total jacka$$ in the first place. It has almost nothing to do with REAL mythology, and my former English teacher has personally met Rick Riordan. She asked politely if he knew the mythology was wrong, and he scoffed and said "Phhht. Like I didn't know that."
Let Twitards have their way with it, please.

There's nothing really wrong with Rob. He's actually one of the actors who sees through the bullshit of Twilight. He's called Meyer on living through Bella, and he's even argued with the woman herself on Edward's Self-hating, stalker character.
If anything, he's pretty much one of us.
So what if the Twitards get their jollies just because it's "Edward?" Hell yeah, it's disgusting, but If they aren't affected by being exposed by other stories and characters that are possibly better than Twilight and Edward, then it will only be their loss.

I have nothing against Robert, but honestly, I think they're selling out on this one. Percy was twelve in Lightning Thief, and Pattinson certainly doesn't look twelve.
Also, I'm afraid the Twitards are now going to turn Percy Jackson into the next Twilight, thus ruining the entire PJatO series.
EDIT: Wait, wait, I checked the IMDB page and they're not casting Pattinson. They're casting an unknown.

I might could see him playing luke. He was the dude that worked at the camp right? The problem will be, like every other movie he plays, there'll be stupid fangirls screaming "EDDWURD!!11!" every time Pattz comes on the screen. I respect the guy but he's gonna carry the bad luck into every movie he plays. Now if they get him to play something in the Cirque du Freak movie, someone's gonna pay.
