we went to adjudication, and we got a I and 2 IIs!! and we played really well! they're buttheads! it makes me sad crying so anyway we got an email from a bd saying yes, we're still going to our six flags concert, and no one's gonna get kicked out, but im still sad though see--> emo and you know how unproud the school is? the concert choir had gotten all ones right? they didn't even announce that we back! redface ugh! i am SO mad! stressed so has this kinda thing happened to any of you? or any comments?

hahaha we got two 2's and a 3 for jazz festival a couple weeks ago
that's pretty much the worst we've ever done hahahaha
except LOL last marching season
we had a pretty rough start, and usually at competition we start at every year we take grand champion... last season all we got was participation hahaha oh geez what a day
(by the next comp and the rest of the season we took some runner-ups and other really good scores haha)

buttheads are right.
you seem like the type of person who really knows when their band does well, and so, if you say they did well, then I think we should go out, find all of those adjudicators, and beat them up.

Okay, so we have solo/ensemble contest about two weeks ago, right?
Well, we get there, get ready, warm up, do our thing and go.
Everything gets backed up by like two hours! stressed
So I'm the top flutest of my band, thus I have a solo/duet/tio and also participate in the choir as a really good first and second alto...
The suck part of this story comes in the form of my Judges being douches *excuse the language, but my school pisses me off*
I get there, all warmed up again, after waiting a s**t load of time. Get in, do pretty well on the scales, nail the tune, "AND-THE-CROWD-GOES-WILD" type moment...
He critisizes almost everything I do
We get the criteek sheet (funny story behind the spelling x3) WAY before the score so I'm dying and cursing everything and everyone because scores aren't posted until 7 p.m. and its only like 10 am.....
Got a first but I died of antisipation......
Okay, so the rest of the day goes well right? Get a first on all of the events, great, *jumps for joy*
A few days go by and the first day of school since the contest has come. I listen to the anouncments like I do every day to find out that the basketball boys shitcanned their last chance at state... girls practice is canceled.... scholastic bowl shirts need turned in.... and thats IT!!!
EVERYONE WHO ENTERED GOT A FIRST (13 events in all) AND NO ONE GIVES A ******** about pissy after that evil

Yeah, that really sucks...
My old band last year got 1, 2 and a 3.
Those were some jacked up judges...How can it vary so much?!
(I'm not part of that band anymore...thank god...WE kinda sucked. only about 27 people in the band, so maybe that explains some stuff...)

Wow, this makes me feel better about our scores. We got a 1 on 2 songs, and a 2 on one song, and 1's in sightreading. I was upset about the single 2, but not anymore.,

During the UIL region competition our marhing band was doing awesome.
We performed really well and everyone in the band was confident that we'd get into the finals and move to area competition.
When they anounced the 10 bands that would go on to the finals, we weren't announced. We were all dissapointed.
Then we got our results back only to learn that all but one judge put us in the top ten placements.
The one judge that didn't put us as the second worst band of the competition and because of that we made 14th place.
The same thing happened back in 2006 too and I think it was the same judge both times!
His excuse for rating us so low was because he thought our show was to immature each time!

i had something worse. we were at our yearly marching competition and they mis-said our ratings they said I, II, III and we really made I, II, II. they didnt even correct it until after the competition was over they sent out emails to all the competing bands about a week after.

at district band festival this year, we got 2 I's and 2 II's when we deserved all I's but we still get to go to state. the sight reading judge was a total butthead.
