I wanted to know which season most band nerds prefer... Marching season or Concert season. Post your answer and your reason why. 3nodding I LOVE BAND!!!!! Oh, and "It's a tie" is also an answer. whee

My favorite one is Marching season, because you sometimes get 2 miss school, and you get to hang with your friends on the bus on the way to away games. I also enjoy the 3 A.M. practices right before a big contest (can anyone say USSBA STATE Competition?). Those are really fun!! blaugh xd

Marching season. All the way.
In concert season, the band splits in two.
In marching season, everyone's together and (relitavly) equal.
The bus rides at four in the morning.
Having people cheer in the stands after you do something amazing on the field.
The visual and musical effects.
The only bad thing is the practices in the summer heat and humidity.
And those aren't bad if you've got pleanty of water.

Marching season of course!
What better way to start the school year off than with seeing most of your freinds at band camp?!
Personally, that's the biggest reason why I look forward to the next year, because it's marching season again. I LOVE hanging out with my friends on the away game buses, I love the times when we can't stop laughing, and it hurts! rofl
Concert season is just sort of "blahh" to me. It's okay when we go to large-group I guess because it's sort of like an away game...sort of.... I am glad for concert season though, because it gives me a chance to get excited and pumped up for the next marching season.

concert season. I CAN'T MARCH!!! and neither can most of the kids in my band.
and i hate memorizing music when you can't even hear me over the brass.

i love the togetherness of the band during marching season! i wish it would continue during concert season because i really love a lot of concert pieces. We have a tiny band of about 40 people, including 8th graders that we pull up, so we are just one big family! i love it. xd

I love marching band! I think it's probably something to do with the section. I like how close everyone gets, how you depend so entirely on each other and spend so much time together, you become like a family.

its all about marching season for the band as a whole, concert season bores me to death lol
but for us percussionists, we have an escape from concert season. Thank the Lord for winter percussion! haha

i prefer marching because that is when i actually get to do stuff otherwise there is nothing for me to do. i'm a flag girl so i have to say marching.
