this does not bode well. i looked in the back cover of the half blood files and i saw Disney hyperion on it. if disney has the movie rights to the books then, well, it's lost a lot of it's potential

I'm reading the third book right now. I dunno why but I would be nervous with anyone turning PJO into a movie. I like that in the book we get to hear Percy's narrations, in the movie they wouldn't be able to do that. If it was animated that would be cooler to me because animations of the gods and fights and monsters are more interpritive than special effects and costumes of live action.
I don't think Disney's that bad with book adaptations, they did a great job with Chronicles of Narnia and Bridge to Terabithia so I wouldn't be that worried about that.

They may not have done bad with those two but I'm sure everyone remembers what they did with their Hercules movie.

Queen-of-the-Rogue They may not have done bad with those two but I'm sure everyone remembers what they did with their Hercules movie. none more need be said. that... that just beats all. all arguments past, present, and future otherwise. but i know it's not animated because on Rick Riordan's website it says that Percy has already been casted. i forgot who it was though.

I'll probably end up going to see them all like the Harry Potter movies unless I'm so horrified by the first one I'll go home and rant like I did with the Eragon movie.

I agree. The first two were halfway decent then once you hit the third and got a new director they started leaving more things out. They also messed up some of the order of the events. Like the Firebolt that was messed up and then they left an entire subplot out of the 4th one! I can rant for days on those movies and have done so with my best friend before. Let's all hope that if Disney does do PJO they will at least read the books before making a movie from it.

SOmehow I doubnt they will too. ALl they care about is making moeny and getting it out before another company relases a big hit. Most of their movies have lost the charm over the years. They should have just stuck to the animated classics. In case no one's heard DIsney gave up rights to the thrid CON movies because Prince Caspain didn't do well at the box office. If that doesn't say somethign I don't know what will.

Eh I would prefer it not to come on Disney at all. I have Sattelite so I'd get it before Disney ever showed it on the Disney Channel. Besides if Lightning Thief doesn't do well they'll refuse to make any of the other books into movies.

Yes but it was based on a book that was based on real life and the little girl really died so she wasn't changing the ending to make the readers happy. She was just telling the story.
