Before my freshman year, the band competed in NCBA. My freshman year brought a new BD, who would rather us compete elsewhere. The school district also doesn't really like NCBA for whatever reason.

I might be having to switch to NCBA for my junior year because my parents plan on moving next May. I'm currently in a WBA band, but NCBA seems pretty cool.

wooot!! ncba! does anyone else here feel awkward because they feel like the only person from a band that does parade comps and no field shows????

I'm a field show peoples! xP

I wish we did more parade though. It would really help our technique... But our director doesn't make good decisions.

My freshman year of high school we were in NCBA smile Good times... Back then we used to do pretty well but since then they've switched to WBA and have been on this continuous downward spiral. Gone are the days of parade and quality field shows neutral

*sigh* i knew it. other than our main competition schools in the area, i've never seen anyone else who doesn't do field shows...sadness sad
i'm not sure about parade helping field technique though...we do a really really simple field show (like maybe 3 forms) for the homecoming game and we usually get yelled at...a lot...
