I think I got all the posts before this point....

Stalkerchick
Letting out a soft sigh, Lynn stretched. She was pleased at Nina's sudden socialness with the other puppies, though was chiding herself about that. Sure, she was friendly with the pups; but that was just nature. She plopped back down with her head on her paws, heaving another short sigh. Lynn then looked out over the softly gurgling river, listening to the peaceful, but so sad and desolate, quiet that loomed over her wherever she went. She was encouraging a pup to do just what she couldn't; she was telling her not to be shy and to make friends, and not to worry about being hurt. But that was different, she argued. She was just a pup...then, what was Lynn acting like herself but a pup, in that case? She let out another, frustrated sigh. "At least she's happy..." She reminded herself for comfort.

Softly stalking through the woods, Kiba found himself at peace with the white world around him. He always loved winter ever since he had arrived here in Moonlit Shadows.. He enjoyed blending in with his surroundings, the calm that washed over him when he was alone. Though having a late dinner he was heading to the river to clean off the crimson stains that hung on his maw and paws. It had been a year he had lived alone in the wild and Kiba had never felt so at home. In the shop he had always felt trapped.. Out here he was free. Ears tipping to the side when another's voice spoke, the wolf froze in his spot and narrowed his eyes just slightly before flicking his tail out behind him. He hadn't expected someone else to be there.. Oh well. Continuing his advance towards the rivers edge he took a quick peek out the side of his eyes to spy a strange looking female.. Shaking his head he lowered his jaws into the frigid waters for a second or two before raising it with a sneeze. Feeling shivers rushing through his spine he ignored it while he dunked his paws in. It was only until he had finished that his sharp golden eyes moved back to the strange female. "Who are you?..." He questioned in quiet tones while his cold eyes gazed at her evaluating the fea before him..

Stalkerchick
Despite all that told her she was alone, she flicked her ears; she could have sworn she had heard the stealth foot-fall of another wolf. She wasn't afraid; she had seen too many things by now to be easily scared. She made out a vauge outline of the snowy wolf, the patches of blood helping her identify it as a wolf. She didn't watch him while the red fell from his coat, but her eyes snapped to meet his; a bored and contemplative expression spread accross her face. The icyness in his eyes put her on her guard, however, and she sat up to speak, "Lynn." She replied in a soft voice that sounded a little feeble, "May I be so bold as to ask your name?" She said, not unkindly, but just enough to make it clear that she did not appriciate being examined. Her deep ruby eyes sheilded any emotion from being seen in them, keeping a steady and respectful lock with his own.

sesshy552
Ears tipping forward at her name he allowed his eyes to look down at the rivers water before the wolf names Lynn questioned him about his own name. Golden orbs raising to stare at her as he thought over how safe it was to give her his name. What if she knew Darcia.. She could easily ruin his peaceful home in these woods.. Feeling his body tense up and the fur along his back rise he shook his head and stepped forward. "Kiba." He uttered in a soft and calm voice, while his eyes and body betrayed the plain distrust and caution he held for the other wolf.. But shaking his fur out to lower his fur he stepped off to the side circling halfway before tilting his head. "If I may, Why are you wandering the woods by yourself?"

Stalkerchick
When his harsh gaze dropped, so did hers. She saw his body tense and got to her feet. She hadn't done anything to provoke him; though if he would like to be provoked, he would have to start something; she was not about to. Her shoulders rose when he had gotten closer to her...Nina would be devistated if something had happened to her, and for a split second, the worry and sorrow showed in her eyes. Quickly, she recomposed herself and turned her body so that she could face him; on her feet at the moment. She owed it to Paine that she was brave enough to stand up for herself against strangers. At the question, she let out a small sigh and slid back down on her haunches to indicate that she didn't mean to be hostile. "I needed the quiet..." She looked up to the white sky, then back at him. Not like anyone would come with me.... She then thought to herself, sorrowful.

sesshy552
Stopping when his eyes caught a hint of the worry her eyes held, Kiba allowed himself to take a slight step back. Urging his body to relax he let his tail hang limply behind him as his head tipped to the side when she sat once again. Giving her a strange look when she spoke of needing quiet.. Maybe she was from a large pack. "If you like to be alone I'll leave." He spoke quickly as he turned his head to look up the river, it would be nice to walk in solitude. Though when his gold eyes looked back and saw the sadness etched on her face he sighed and shook his head. "Or maybe you would like to join me on a walk.. Lynn?" Ears twisting back against his head he looked away just a bit annoyed at the fact someone else would be around. But maybe it would be nice to have someone to talk to.. He hadn't actually been around others since his pack showed up in this strange world.. And even then they had all gone their separate ways. Hige and Blue were together.. Toboe was pleased with his new owner, and Tsume was busy watching Darcia. He was left to be alone in the woods.. Narrowing his eyes at the though he growled silently as his nails dug into the dirt. Perhaps it was better this way. They had found their 'paradise'. Thats all that mattered.

Stalkerchick
With a soft and gentle sigh of relief when his paws had shuffled away from her faintly, she watched him trying to relax, unaware of why he was so tense around others; he looked stronger than she could ever be....She was desperate to let the uncomfortableness tensing her own shoulders fade; it was starting to pull at the patch that had been sewn onto her foreleg. Subtly, she rolled them, and that had suceeded in making them lax. The strange look confused her, and his fast-paced speech only furthered that, to the point where one ear had flopped to the side. She shook the feeling and looked at a far off tree in the opposite direction. She wasn't used to having others around at all, especially if they weren't in the pack. She wasn't sure why he'd stuck around in the first place and almost responded; he'd clearly wanted to leave, before jumping at his next question. A cold wind swept past her and tugged at the feathering around her ears, giving her a chance to scrunch her muzzle up in confusion and squint her eyes in thought, but only for a moment when the wind had lasted. She caught the reluctance in his posture, and her blank face flicked to a small scowl for a moment. She whined to herself, only a very soft, muffled pin drop as she looked from the cloudy sky to the snow. This was how getting hurt always started; a reluctant person asking her to go somewhere with them, and she let herself be careless. Oh, how she wished Paine was with her to guide her on what to do... She looked to the sky once more. But Paine was having enough trouble of her own. The house just seemed so sad lately, at least, their room did. The spunk Spark had had died out with Paine's, as well... She kept mulling the idea over, her eyes and muzzle pointed to the ground. She decided to leave it up to him, a blank and empty face looking back up at him, "Only if you're sure, Kiba." Her voice was soft and feeble, almost as if it was about to break if she kept thinking. If she went, she supposed, it would keep her from breaking.

sesshy552
Ear twitching when she spoke in a voice near silent. What was so wrong with her that she would sound so.. Furrowing his brows together when the word kept just out a reach in his mind. She had asked if he was sure to take her along with him and in truth he didn't care much. She seemed the quiet type, perhaps having another presence would be nice. He wouldn't be quite so alone, and it would be quiet. Or at least thats how he saw it at the moment. Who knew what would happen later on. But with a curt nod of his head he tried to pull up a ghost of a smile in a means to make her comfortable, though it eluded him just as easily as the word. It was nonsense, his mind kept babbling thoughts he couldn't understand about this female. Why didn't he just walk away after cleaning. Not only was he to be bothered with having to entertain the other he also was practically giving her a tour of the little territory he had set up.. But either way he wasn't going to snatch back his offer. He wasn't heartless, just cautious. So tipping his head in the direction they were to walk along the river he stared at her with cold, yellow eyes before stepping. "Well Lynn. Shall we walk?" Flicking his tail once he turned and started walking only glancing back to see if she was fallowing. Would be rude to just leave her behind. Even so he thought over things on what he was supposed to do once they began their small treck through the forest. He was horrible at making small talk, and aside from hunting. Which he assumed she didn't know a lick about there was hardly anything interesting going on in the forest.. So sighing softly he allowed his head to lower just a bit as he spoke. "So... Have you been to the forest before?"

Stalkerchick
Lynn watched the wolf, almost invisible but for his eyes, ponder over the idea, and hoped dearly that she hadn't done anything to upset him. The corners of her black lips pulled faintly; just enough to form a comforting and appriciative smile. She saw, at least, that he was trying. She nearly kicked herself, however, for having to be with another wolf to keep her from breaking, accusing herself as weak, just as when Paine had stumbled upon her. And what Paine had shared with her now was bright and strong, keeping her sane, so who knew what would happen? Besides, it would be rude to turn tail and run, like her thumping heart was pushing her to do, when offered a walk. It wouldn't be too bad; he seemed nice enough for now. Her silent paws followed in the tracks he'd left; but who would trail them? When he spoke she broke from the paw-prints and to his side, remaining behind submissively, however. She always came to the forest, but only one spot. To be honest, Paine knew a lot better than her, but she had told her of territories to avoid. Lynn nodded gently, "Nearly every day. Same spot." Her voice was a little louder now, but there was a kind of lost undertone in it that she didn't like letting people hear. That was why she usually spoke quieter, but his reaction to her previous words made her speak up. She didn't like the look he wore on his face after that, and this time, didn't look at him, but rather the ground ahead of them and the bushes, for rabbits and other small game.

Seeing her own hesitation, Kiba waited patiently for her own mind to make up a decision. It didn't make a difference to him, wether she fallowed or not nothing different would occur. Though the thought of having another presence around was slightly comforting in it's own way. He had been alone for quite awhile, and who knows. Maybe one day he will have his pack again. So blinking as she moved Kiba gave the subtlest tip of his head. She fallowed his prints to the point, leaving no set of her own. Strange.. Allowing his bright eyes to gaze around their snowy surroundings he felt his brows pull together just slightly and shrugged his shoulders on the inside. There was no one around.. Once she had came to his side Kiba turned and stared up silent walk back from where he came. Ear twisting to catch her words he tipped his head to the side just slightly to looked back at her. "Same spot? Must get boring.." Noting her downcast eyes he found his own softening just slightly. He had heard her tone.. Her louder voice making it easier of course.. Why was she like this.. The thought swarmed in his mind before he turned just a bit wondering what to do now. Surely a walk through the woods was enjoyable for him, but what of her. "Is there anything you want to see in the woods...?" He half wondered in a half disinterested voice. He was not used to striking up conversations with others.. "..Unless you would just want to walk.?" Trying to change his tone to an honestly interested tone Kibe returned his gaze ahead of him.

Despite the fact Lynn had always came here to be alone...maybe being alone was not the best thing for her right now. Maybe she needed to be like Nina, the child, and start opening up to people again. Had the light wind not stirred his pure, snowy fur, she would have missed him, and if not for his golden gaze. Her own crimson eyes met his for a small moment, before returning to the iced-over top layer of snow that was gently crackling under their paws. A more confident shake of her head, as she tried to conceal the hurt in her voice, "Not really. I mean....it's too peaceful to be boring...." Her voice started strong, nothing like a whisper; his softened eyes giving her an ounce more of confidence. Noting that the hurt was more obvious than ever, Lynn let her voice fade away, words being caught and torn away on the wind. Once more her head glided up to look at him, shaking gently then falling again, at his next question. "The river is already...the only thing...P-Paine showed it to me." She informed him, unaware of her stammer until a few moments afterward. Subtly biting her lip, she looked to the soft gray sky. She hadn't stammered in a long time. Mentally biting herself, she chuffed a sigh, making it sound convincingly relaxed, to a very small degree. "Walking is fine." She knew she had to make a larger effort at communication...but she was almost embarrassed that the pain shone through her voice so much. So afraid to talk. As she walked, a patch of light blue on her leg seemed to grow, and shrink, with the movements she made, black stitching around it loosening, being pulled taught, and loosening once more. Surprisingly, Lynn showed this no mind, keeping her ruby eyes to the glimmering snow beneath her as she walked.

Ear twitching as he listened to everything around them, Kiba glanced over at her out of the corner of his eye and felt another subtle smile graced his lips when he heard her voice beginning to strengthen. Unsure if the new strength was her opening up to him or a simply facade to smother up the previous hurt he didn't know, but he hadn't allowed his mind to stray to far into thoughts over it. He had not known her long enough to make judgement on her as a wolf. So turning his eyes back ahead he took a deep breath through his nose and slowed his walk just slightly. "I must agree with you.. It is peaceful.." He commented with that same small smile before his eyes turned upward as a two of the few winter birds flew overhead singing softly to each other. Though when she answered about the river he felt his ear twitch once more and acted as though he didn't hear the mess up in her sentence, but he found himself slightly shocked that she had only been to the river of all places, there were many things in this forest to see. And with winter ending more animals were slowly returning. Perhaps he would love to see the fox den he had stumbled across, or the clearing. Yellow eyes glancing around them as he caught the scent of a rabbit Kiba gently slowed to a stop and took a few sniffs of the air. Mouth watering ever so slightly at the thought of another meal so quickly he looked over at his newly acquired companion eyes shining at the thought of a hunt Kiba found himself actually taking in her appearance, she appeared sewn together.. How strange. Though turning his eyes away and in the direction of the scent he sighed and took one last sniff before continuing. "Perhaps you would like to see more of the forest? There's a bit of activity going on around this time. You want to see?"

Soft, liquid red eyes peered at his new-found smile, and she let herself wonder, if only for a moment, whether it was from sympathy or if it was intended to make her feel better, and more confident. Either way, she appreciated it; it did give her a tad more courage. She found herself thinking that she wanted to open up to him; he took time out of whatever it was he was doing to walk with her and comfort her to some degree, so he couldn't be bad. Too engrossed in her own thoughts, she was oblivious to his slow in pace and found that she had trotted next to him, her eyes shot upward and shoulders jumped, as if the birds were about to swoop down and peck at her, but soon calmed down; it was peaceful, when she wasn't absent in mind. She was surprised that the stutter was not questioned, which seemed to make her confidence grow even more. She was beginning to feel quite comfortable around him. It wasn't that she didn't want to see other things, so much as she didn't want to ask to be shown. She wouldn't wander by herself, either; she'd already suffered the dangers of that. She stopped in mid-step beside him and fixated her eyes on the same point the scent had come from. Her crimson eyes met his gold ones; she had found herself quite hungry, once the presence had become known. She looked away, almost hesitant, and still fixed her eyes on the small bush the game was hiding in. Lynn obediently took her attention from the would- be meal to follow in his paw-prints again once he continued, "Activity...?" She inquired, not exactly sure what that meant. The hesitation and mistrust was obvious on her face, despite that she'd just become comfortable. Her body had tensed, paw hanging in the air where her next step would have been; she hadn't wanted to continue if it put her in harm's way, which is how she took the meaning of 'activity'.
PostPosted: Sun Mar 15, 2009 7:08 pm

Listening closely for her answer, Kiba was able to easily catch the meaning behind the one worded question, her mistrust didn't shock her that much. For even as he walked with her he didn't easily trust her, though stopping in his walk he turned in a fluid motion to face her a few steps away head on. "Yes activity.. The forest is thawing, and animals are returning to the forest." He announced in a soft calming tone. She was a jumpy, cautious wolf.. Again he found his mind wondering back to how she had become such. Who, or what had harmed her in some way to strike suck fear into her mind.. But then again she could of been raised like suck, grown to not trust those around her.. Again feeling his brows pull together as he stared down at her lost in his mind Kiba shook his head ever so slightly and looked off to the side. "There is a lot of stuff to see, but only if you wish it. It's up to you after all, I promise not to run you into an angry grizzly.. If anything we can simply continue down this path." Ears swerving off to the side he listened as he again heard subtle hops of a small prey moving not to far away. Eyes moving off to fallow the sound he felt his tail stiffen out behind him and licked his chops. Of this prey was tempting him. Taking a deep breath through his nose, Kiba found himself easily identifying it as a hare and closed his eyes for a second. "Or we could hunt.. That is if you don't mind.. I must live out here, and it's not every day I get a chance at two meals in one day during the winter." He announced as he took a gentle step sideways in the hares direction, where there was one there was bound to be another. After all spring was approaching, and animals were tending to pair off with future mates.

Lynn found herself dumbfounded when she was faced, and lowered her paw; breaking the even trail of his prints lightly. She was confused by his tone at first, but felt the edges of her mouth pull upward faintly in a true smile. So, looking into his eyes, she nodded, understanding, as the relaxation of his aura washed over her once more. She hadn't known much about life in the forest for a while; the ones who taught her had all but torn....her from their life. That could only make her think that she didn't want this to end in the same way, even though as always, it felt good to be with someone who knew what they were doing. She watched him, absorbed in his own thoughts, but took her own gaze to the cool sky, listening. With a meek shake of her head that could have just been the wind tousling her fur, she thought to herself that a grizzly was the least of her worries. "Thank you" She lowered her head at the promise of protection, truly meaning it, and for that instant, the hurt all but vanished from her voice, and her tail might have well swished, though it was indistinct. She almost felt the tenseness in his tail and followed his eyes curiously, feeling the soft vibrations in the air, sensing that something small was there, only after him. So, quietly, she nodded her head and poised to pounce, on the unlikely chance (she thought) that he would miss his target. "Of course not....actually, I myself am quite hungry." She admitted, still fixing her concentration on that single, moving point. In her gut, she somehow knew that there would be more with this one; a passed down, instinctive knowledge that was probably the one thing she had not lost. But she didn't let her mind dwell on the matter, letting it be known that he was the leader in this miniature hunt by looking expectantly at him, before her attention returned to the rodent.
PostPosted: Mon Mar 16, 2009 6:13 pm

Taking note of the improvement in her tone Kiba found himself honestly a little happy that he was able to do that. Though his eyes stayed fixed on the rabbit, as it gently shuffled around seemingly oblivious of the two of them. Though he waited patiently for her answer, ears erect and eyes brightening in the excitement in even the smallest chase, his jaws opened slightly showing the front few teeth, and he shifted silently on his paws. So as soon as she answered in the positive he shifted his gaze to her and a soft smile graced his jaws for a brief moment before taking a step forward and motioning with a slight movement of her head to show where to go. "Well, then lets hunt." He spoke in a hushed whisper as he crouched slightly and moved off to the side in the direction the rabbit was heading. Creeping up he stopped under the cover of the shrubbery and stared out at a large rabbit gently shuffling through the dirt It looked slow, from size but he couldn't know that until it bolted. Eyes moving back to his companion he thought over a quick strategy. "Go around behind it and try to spook it in this direction, I'll snag it. Unless you would like to kill it?" He wondered aloud adding in the ending in a hope not to offend her. If she wished to take it he would gladly allow it. It hardly mattered really. He simply wanted food now.

She felt a sudden change in her companion, and in herself. It wasn't a closed path anymore; not completely. The air around her felt lighter, and her eyes pulsed with every little hop and shift the rabbit made. She was so concentrated, so determined. Lynn smiled faintly; she hadn't had much of a hunt lately. She remembered a time where she was afraid to hurt other animals, even though it meant life. But at least she didn't patch them up and let them continue to live....she thought for a bitter moment, a small trace of aqua fur on her back sticking up, before it smoothed itself back down under the wind. With the wind, the smell of the future meal flew into her nostrils and she was alert once more. Hunching her shoulders, she followed him, before the plan was laid out for her. She nodded, "Hm" in compliance, and gently glided across the powdery snow, keeping down-wind for as long as she could. She felt the rabbit hop when she got too close, and righted herself in the right direction. Looking through the other side of the bushes, she found his gold eyes, and let him know with meeting them to be prepared. Placing a deliberate paw to the rabbit's right, she quickly closed in with her left paw, then, behind it; blocking every direction it would want to run with fear, except for forward. She watched with expectant eyes, to see where it would run, and Kiba's swift (She assumed it would be) action.
PostPosted: Sat Apr 11, 2009 10:27 am

Keeping low to the ground, Kiba's eyes stayed trained on their soon to be meal, He was waiting for her. Tail held straight out behind him his eye flicked in her direction when her fur began to raise. Raising a brow he wondered what was wrong, but didn't read to much into the action once it fell back into place. Dismissing it from his mind he felt his muscles bunch up in anticipation as she began to move to get into place. Golden eyes shining he rose a fraction of an inch and lowered his head jaws parted slightly as he waited. So when he felt eyes on him, his own rose up until he caught her gaze. 'Finally.' He thought as she moved forward on the rabbit, blocking it's exit on either side. The brown rabbit froze in fear for a second before it's flight instinct took over, racing forward as planned, it made way towards the cover Kiba hid in. Waiting until it got closer he raced out of hiding, and in a flash snagged the rabbit around it's chest. Head lowered as it struggled on the ground he gave a snap of his jaws and let go. Tail swaying a few times as he looked down on the kill, Kiba raised his head and looked for Lynn.

A small pang of guilt made itself a burden in her side for a very small, fraction of a second, and she whispered a small, almost non-existent prayer for the rabbit. She wasn't sure, watching Kiba's jaws, how painful it must have been, nor how frightening her charade was for it, but she wouldn't allow herself to think about that for any longer. She had gotten something to eat. So letting the guilt wash from her mind on the wind, she emerged slowly from the bush to look at him. Heart almost skipping a beat when his wagging tail caught her vision, she searched for a reason why it was so exciting for her. Absently, with the smell of the kill wafting to her muzzle, she grinned very small at him. He seemed so accomplished of his...their....prize. It seemed so abnormal to think that she had helped in a hunt with someone else, though she didn't do much of the work at all. A small glimmer sparked itself in her eye again, looking at the brown and red against the snow. Lynn placed a gently and deliberate paw closer, cautiously padding forward. She should let him have his fill before getting too close, she thought. So, to show little hostility or ownership over the meal, she sat back on her haunches, absently flicking her eyes back to it every so often.

Much unlike Lynn's little prayer, Kiba himself felt the sudden urge to howl his victory - however how small - to his forest, though instead his held the urge back. Eyes searching around for her as she stood from his view in the bushes. Had he chased her away? He thought as his tail slowed his wagging. He seriously hoped not. One ear flopping to the side as he tipped his head, Kiba felt his tail pick up normal speed when the sewn wolf emerged. shining golden eyes catching her gaze he felt a small smile tug at his lips when he spotted a small gleam in her eye. After catching it he allowed his gaze to fallow her own to their small kill. Parting his jaws to lick the stains from his white maw he was about to move to eat when he caught her movement and picked his head up. Noting the deliberate distance she kept between him and her he gave a slight nod before picking it up gingerly in his jaws and walked closer to her. Dropping it in the snow between them he took a soft step back. "You can have it." Kiba spoke in a somewhat caring tone. The hunt had been a success, and that wasn't often when it came to rabbits. They were speedy little buggers. If it wasn't for her, he wouldn't have snagged it. "You deserve it, besides I'm still fine since my last hunt." Sitting in the snow he curled his tail around his legs before lifting his nose to catch the scents around them, keeping alert for anything that decided it wanted to interrupt them.

Lynn looked around and found him; there was...something new about his mannerism; the wagging tail and all. However, she figured that it was likely just from the hunt. She saw the flopped over ear once she grew from the bush and felt something almost foreign on her maw; a smile, that wasn't just a facade. It reminded her of Nina, just a bit. Then, she realized that Nina had been more in her life than she had expected. Shaking the thoughts from her mind, she watched his sudden halt with inquisitiveness glowing from her eyes. Had she done something to disturb him? As she watched him advance on her, Lynn felt a sudden, needless fear. Was he going to hurt her; what had she done wrong; she'd shown that he could have it if he desired! With an instinctive grimace, she looked back at him, only to have a confusion wash over her face for a moment. She hoped that the fear wasn't too prominent, as she felt her head tip to the side. She looked back down at the food, then at his retreating form, tipping her head to other side. He let her voice interrupt her thoughts and returned to normal...what he'd seen was normal for her, at least. She felt another smile pull at her lips, which she almost suppressed, "Kiba, thank you." Her ears flicked in surprise at what had just happened. He let her voice soothe her. She usually just had food brought back by Spark; the quickest little pup she'd ever been around. Nodding in understanding, Lynn laid down and took the rabbit between her paws. Tail flicking to cover her back paws, she watched him for a moment, before biting into the meal with an almost silent crunch.

When a smile crossed her maw, a true smile in his eyes he looked stunned for the most part. So far he had only been getting untrusting vibes, cautious approaches, and silent turmoil from inside this sewn wolf. It was pleasing to see the smile, his tail gave another wag across the ground beneath him. His eyes had dropped to their kill before her words rang clearly in his ears. Picking his golden gaze from the ground to look at her as she laid and took the rabbit in her jaws. "It was my pleasure." He announced in the softest whisper as his ears pricked forward at the sudden noise. Though it was against his nature to give up his natural alpha position Kiba was honestly pleased with himself for giving it up. She had earned it in his eyes. It was just as much her kill as it was his own. Gaze lifting to look up at the trees he felt his breathing slow as a calm washed over his being. He was always at peace in the woods. One of the reasons he couldn't deal with the big house he had arrived at. As he waited for her to finish his eyes had closed as he sampled the smells of the darkening forest.

She was humored by the shock that had dominated his face when she smiled. Truthfully, she was quite surprised herself. Finally, there was someone outside of her owner's room that could pull her lips upwards. She felt...refreshed, and Kiba's tail sweeping over the sparkling snow only furthered this reassurance. She had hunted with someone, and felt herself growing a large likeness for this wolf. Maybe, just maybe, she could start opening up to others now. Then, a daunting though flickered through her mind. What if it turns out like it always does? But his voice tore the thought from her mind and, looking up from her meal, she gave him another smile. The calmness washing over the forest set her at ease, and for a second, she felt as though herself and Kiba were the only two creatures in the world. With the dark, came a new kind of glow in Lynn's eyes as she slowly finished the last bite, silently licking the blood from her lips. She gazed up at him mysteriously, though unmoving, and stopped herself. She wasn't sure...if she should stay here with him. But she knew she was going to anyway.
