THE FIRE FIELD!!
A series of thick rock pillars, all different sizes of height, reach towards the stadium ceiling from a pool of hot lava. While there is a fire-proof net far below to catch any pokemon that falls off the platforms, the rock pillars themselves are very hot to touch. They can cause burns if your pokemon stand still for a set period of time. The air around the field is very heavy from the extreme heat. This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to FIRE type attacks.This field also reduces damage from WATER and ICE type attacks by 25 HP

Chaos walked calmly into the blistering heat of the field, his trainer behind him. Without complaint Chaos took his position on an extremely heated rock. Ignoring the sensation of burning paw pads, Chaos gritted his teeth and dug his claws in. The heat was nearly unbearable under his thick coat of fur, but he ignored it. This was his battle, and he could see victory waiting just around the corner.
Renekai was far less elegant on her entry. "Oh my gooooooosh it's hoooot..." she moaned, fanning her sweaty face. "Darn it, this is not good," she sighed. While her opponent was right in their element, poor Chaos was from the icy Inhinx... Well, time to tough it out!

Shadow walked into the arena with ease. He was used to these extreme heats, but that didn't mean that the rocks weren't making his paw uncomfortable. He looked over at their opponents. Same trainer, different Pokemon. Well this would prove to be an interesting battle to say the least. He walked over to a rock opposite of Chaos and waited for the battle to start. He grimaced lightly as the heat of the rocks got into a wound he still had from a previous battle. His opponent didn't look like a pushover which made this battle seem more exciting.
Saspra frowned against the heat. She hated this kind of weather, but she knew that Shadow was accustomed to this kind of heat, but she sure wasn't. She fanned herself and found out with dismay that she was already sweating. This was going to be a long battle by the looks of it.

"Chaos! Rock Slide!" Renekai commanded suddenly.
Chaos howled and jumped into the air. He hurled himself back at the heated pillar so hard that several rocks broke off. With a sweep of his horned head, several rocks and boulders were hurled at Shadow.
The battle had begun!

Shadow jumped as the rocks were hurled in his direction, but unfortunately he had only been able to avoid the lesser part of its wake. Hot rocks pelted against his fur and he grimaced in pain before landing a few feet away from Chaos.
"Let's use Flamethrower!" Saspra commanded, deciding to use the heat of the arena to their advantage.
Shadow lept towards Chaos and opened his mouth firing a jet of flames at the opponent Absol.

Flames ate up Chaos's flank, sending up the thick smell of burnt fur. He leaped out of the way and onto the next pillar as fast as he could, but there was a dark streak on his normally white fur that was covered in ash. At least he wasn't on fire.
"Rock Slide!" Renekai repeated.
Chaos gouged the hot rock below him with his claws. Once he had a fair amount of rock in front of him, he hurled it at the Ninetails.

[[ Meep~ *Forgot to add Shadow's HP in her last post* And Flamethrower does 125 damage because of the Field Boost. :3 ]]
Shadow made a run for it as the rock came towards him. He had been able to dodge part of the blow, but the rock had still hit his foot. He growled lightly as the heat started affecting him and stop running. He spun around and turned towards Chaos waiting for Saspra's next command.
Saspra decided that their best bet would be to stick to using fire type moves for the majority of the battle. It proved to be the most effective move by far. "Use Flamethrower again, Shadow!" She commanded.
Shadow put his paws firmly on the ground before letting another ferocious jet of flames fly at Chaos.

Chaos was forced to let out a howl as a very powerful Flamethrower engulfed his body. He leaped out of the flames, trying to get to the next pillar. However, he missed and fell until he hit the net, bouncing to a stop. His entire body was blackened and parts of his fur had been burned until they were shriveled and flaky. But Chaos did not even stop to lick the burns; his eyes were locked onto his enemy.
Renekai winced at Chaos's pain in his place. She knew that he would not appreciate pity, however, and merely shouted, "Stone Edge!"
Chaos's muscles rippled as he bunched his legs up to spring. He jumped to the base of one pillar and, a growl ripping from his throat, jumped to a higher perch at the next. In this way, he leaped from pillar to pillar until he was jumping to the top of Shadow's. Still in the air, Chaos's normally red blade turned rocky brown as he swung his head at the Ninetails

Shadow grimaced as the blade made a direct hit on his left shoulder blade. He panted and jumped away from the Absol to keep himself from taking even more damage than he had already taken. Once he was a good few feet away from the opponent he examined his wound. It looked pretty bad, but he chose to ignore it and wait for his next command.
Saspra sighed at Shadow's unwillingness to further examine his wound, but she knew that his pride would never allow him to do that. "Let's keep up the Flamethrower!" She called out to her Pokemon.
Shadow used his legs as a boost as he propelled himself from the ground to the air. He opened his mouth and let out yet another steady stream of fire towards Chaos. The flames had pretty much engulfed the opponent when he stopped and landed ungracefully on the rocky terrain due to his injury.

"Rock Slide!" Renekai shouted.
Chaos snarled and managed to cut an extra large chunk of superheated rock from his pillar. Straining his muscles, Chaos managed to propel the bulky object into the middle of the flames. The rock started to glow red with heat, but the worst of the flames were kept off of Chaos.

Saspra sighed and knew that this battle would end up pretty badly if they altered from their fire attacks, but maybe luck would be on their side today. "Shadow let's use Confuse Ray!"
Shadow managed to avoid the worst of the blow from Chaos's attack by jumping onto the rock. He fired his glowing white orb at Chaos before jumping off of the rock and landing near his opponent.

Chaos ignored the confusing orb of light and concentrated on his opponent, who had just jumped beside him. A very unfortunate mistake for him! Chaos's blade turned rocky once more as he lunged for Shadow's side, hoping to gore him.

Shadow winced as the Chaos's blade once again hit his left shoulder blade. The sting of the injury almost made him fall towards the net that waited down below, but he held his footing.
Saspra watched on, this battle was getting a little out of hand. "Use Confuse Ray once more!" This would be the last time they used the moves considering the fact that it almost never hit.
Shadow's eyes blazed as he fired another glowing white orb at Chaos.

"Rock Slide!" Renekai shouted.
Chaos restrained the urge to look at the ball of light once more. Instead, he slammed his front paws into the pillar, splitting the top layer in half. With a snarl, Chaos tore his claws into the crack, deepening it. With a final effort, he wheeled around and used his hind legs to shove the two halves apart. An instant later, both he and Shadow's halves of the pillar were falling to the net below. Chaos leaped off of his chunk as soon as he could. He was already facing the right direction, so he managed to land on the next pillar over. He panted and looked back over to Shadow. Had he fallen, or managed to escape?
