What are you afraid of? I'm not talking about everyone's answer of "I'm afraid of loosing those close to me", I'm talking real irrational fears. On the flip side, what common fears suffered by others are you oddly not afraid of?
I'll go first!
I am afraid of closets, mirrors, long dark hallways, being alone in the house at night, and being outside in the country at night.
I know people are afraid of being attacked by sharks. It's one of those common three worst ways to die. I grew up in south Florida and even had encounters with both sharks and barracudas and am oddly not afraid.

 I would say Thunderstorms, I feel a bit silly of this fear. But the root of the reason was because I've gotten a nasty shock on my shoulder before. So it makes me a little cautious. Also the other fears are Needles, failure, parasites, and jelly fish.
But something that i think others find unusual, is walking in the dark.
I love the darkness of the night, it feels as if the sky was a silk fabric, to clad my body like a blanket to give me peace.

I'm terrified of snakes. >.< I had a bad encounter with one when I was little. I'm also afraid of pretty much any bug imaginable and speed. I don't like going fast in a car or anything actually.
But I do like the dark.~

Well anyway...
Being alone in a house at night, people coming around me when I'm walking alone at night, making people hate me, going to jail, parasites, large bodies of water. That's all I can think of.
I am not afraid of the dark. I love snakes. Black cats, not problem. Broken mirrors, going under ladders, umbrellas inside.

In both my house and my mother's, we consider it very bad luck to not have a black cat... it explains a lot when you think about it... neither of us have had a black cat in the house for a few years now since Akiko disappeared and we're both in worst way now.

I'm agoraphobic, virginitiphobic, and I'm afraid of escalators (there isn't a spiffy phobia name for the last one)
Oh, and I suffer from Night Terrors (which are borderline nightmare hallucinations), soooo anything that reminds me of a Night Terror I've had scares the sh*t out of me. Oh, and there's this freeking picture in the GD I've seen a few times that looks exactly like one of the creatures from a Night Terror, and I get the shakes and slam my laptop closed every time I see it ><;;

My irrational fear is of ANYTHING with more than 4 legs. I'm not afraid of the dark, I am afraid if being covered in sticky stuff (sap, syrup, molasses, honey, etc.). I am not afraid of fire but I am afraid of heights and closed spaces.....That's all I'm gonna go into......

My phobias are: acrophobia, claustrophobia, and aquaphobia (not to be confused with hydrophobia and/or rabies; this one is the fear of drowning). None of these are really severe for me, but I get knock-kneed around heights and I'm none too fond of small places where I can't breathe. And I gotta say, I have this lovely, recently acquired aversion to needles. >.<
I'm not afraid of creepy-crawlies or snakes, or the dark. Or storms. I love storms :3 The sound of thunder is just so powerful and I love it.
Y'know what'd be really ironic? A Furry with Zoophobia. xD

An avian scared of heights razz Hehe, jk.. seeing as i'm pretty freaked out by heights too; even though I have jumped off a 3 story building @_@ Strange I hadn't seen this topic sooner, but ok, here's my listie. 1. Flying Bugs. 2. Sharp Objects (or rather, a fear of getting cut) 3. Fear of getting hit anywhere on the face (not so much of a fear as more of a precaution.. if someone hits me in the face, accident, friend or not, I WILL have to fight the urge to harm them.) 4. Fear of ghosts (those things are real man, no joke.) Ehh and uhh I think that's about it.. probbably more stuff..... I don't like animals that can eat me. That's it sweatdrop

I'm afraid of things flying at me (Birds, insects, etc.) for I was chased by Robins, it has become more of a twitch now.
I don't know if it is so much a fear, but really something that disturbs me. I can't stand anything that deals with slashing/damaging of the neck or wrists, or basicaly any of those squishy fleshy areas. Don't know why, or why it causes such a nervous twitch in me, but meh, thought I'd point that out.

I'm not afraid of ghosts, because I've been able to see things like spirits, ghosts, demons, etc. since I was a small child. Not so often any more, but plenty when I was little.

I'd have to say needles, wasps, and being alone in a silent room.
Being in dead silence freaks me out because I can hear everything and it makes me feel paranoid. Needles and wasps are both from bad experiences when I was younger x.x But when it comes to the dark and stuff like ghosts I'm completely fine. I'm pretty much a night owl fox. ^^

It really all depends on the ghost. A few ghosts have scared me, and I've seen one or two nice/neutral ones. However, my night terrors are a different story. Part of me believes that some of my night terrors could be malignant spirits. I've done a lot of research, and it looks like 50% say it's spiritual, and 50% say it's medical...I could see it either way, but I guess I sorta lean towards spiritual. Especially since mine are usually more like 'hallucinations' than 'dreams'.

Lesse...I'm terrified of the dentist/orthodontist(but I did have my braces taken off), grandfather clocks(don't ask me why), and wasps(I'm cool with bees since they make honey).
