With another flash of the dagger a scream filled the silent area. It was a scream so loud it left everything in complete silence. The creek running though the town, the wind blowing though the trees, everything became silent.
Investigations have been called, but no one has found the answer. The bodies of the dead have not been found, and no one in the village knows what has been happening. It is as if the entire town is under oath and they all share a great secrete. The town has been searched time and time again, but each time nothing is found. But a new discovery has been made. In a trash heap off in the country away from the town a clue has been found. A arm has been found, slashes up and down the pale skin. It was the first step to solving the mystery. Carved into the arm was a small prophecy:
"Get out
Stranger to our lands
Thou without blood of our people.
Or join with the river sands."
This curious information has brought up many questions in this investigation. Another interesting fact, these killings all happen around the time of the full moon. It has been said that intruders are unwelcome, but to get away to a small down, to live in a world different from the usual hustle and bustle, who would not want that. Many have come to think of it as a myth, but can it really be true? What is the truth behind these mysterious deaths?

Rumors ~
It is said that there is a curse laid upon the town. A spirit who protects the people born naively to the town. The spirits inhabit the people, and well...that is how the myth goes. But they are only stories right? wink
It is also said that all of these happenings occur around the time of the full moon. The victims just seem to disappear.

NOW OPEN! The sun shown warm on this bright day. A warm breeze blew though the grass, blending with the whispering crickets. A boy walked around, a camera grasped in his hand. Athrun Mioko, reporter for the Mariam Times. He lifted his camera to his eye and snapped a picture of the green field off to the side of the town. He walked into the town, admiring the dusty cobble stone street. His backpack bounced lightly on his back. The town seemed deserted. The curious boy walked though the streets, looking, listening to any sound that would signify life. The silence was unnerving. Then her heard noises coming toward him. He smiled, but couldn't help but feel the same sense of fear. What was coming? Around the corner came a group of girls. Athrun sighed, feeling much better. He lifted his camera once again, focusing on the group of girls coming at him.One of the girls, a tall blue haired girl dressed in a cute sailor uniform walked down the street, her skirt tapped lightly at her sides. She heard the click of the camera. Her eyes turned upon the boy standing before her, a boy she didn't know. “What do you want?” she snapped, “Walking around taking pictures around the moon ceremony, aren't you afraid of death?” She asked, her eyes blazing.“It is a pleasure to meet you too.” Athrun said with a sarcastic bow. “You may call me Athrun, what may I call you?” He asked grinning at her. “This is really a beautiful town.”

Kaori moved about the area almost like some strange beauty. Her eyes seemed to open as she had them closed almost making her look snobby, but in fact she was not. She was looking for any spirits that had not crossed over yet to be purified from the area. Her body being its own purification tool, that and the blade she carried on her. She seemed to move about till seeing someone snapping photos of the area. Her eyes knew of the girl, but the boy she did not as she looked at him mostly willing to run him with her sword should he try anything to the girl.

With school being excluded for the Moon Ceremony Hiro was leaving the school when he heard something over an ear bud in his ear.
"Sir...a strange man has been spotted walking around town with a camera. Orders?" came the voice from the feed.
"Keep an eye on him for know. I don't want any casualties." Hiro said as he pressed the device.
"Yes sir." came an abrupt response as Hiro got to his feet and walked outside. At his side he held the family katana and had to make his way to the head shrine to be briefed by his younger sister.
The Sakamoto family is a matriarchal group letting the females in the family rule over all decisions. I had been that way for as long as anyone could remember. With their mother out of town on business his sister Kaori was the present head of the house regardless of their age difference.

Ayaka blinked, amazed. "Didn't you hear a word I just said?" she asked. "Being here means that you put yourself in danger, what do you think about that?" She growled trying to scare him away.
Athrun looked down at his camera, checking how many pictures he had left. With a grin he lifted the camera to his face and took another picture. "The first sign of life and how they treat me." he said lowering the camera. "This will definitely make your town a popular place to visit." He said looking back at her. "Now what was that name of yours?" He asked flashing a charming smile.
Ayaka, still stunned by this aloof behavior stammered, "A-Ayaka." She told him, unsure what else really to say.
Athrun chuckled, "That wasn't too hard for you was it?" he asked stepping forward. "I am here as a reporter for the Marian Times. They are curious about your moon ceremony. And I have been the one selected to go help."

Kaori would continue to watch till finally he tried something with the girl and her quick actions would almost instantly place her between the photographer and Ayaka. The photographer would find it harder to get any words out of Kaori than with Ayaka. Kaori may have been dressed as a priestess but the blade she wore at her side spoke volumes as it was slightly unsheathed and glowing.

"Sir there is an update on the man from before. It seems that he has confronted mistress Ayaka and the priestess Kaori." came the familiar voice on the earpiece.
Hiro's eyes opened widely for a moment before responding. "If the target takes any aggressive actions neutralize it. I will not have a stranger ruin the moon ceremony." Hiro said calmly before he grasped the sword at his side and began to run very quickly.
Soon he came upon the scene as Kaori was considering cutting him open. Seeing the situation Hiro relaxed a little and came up to the man.
"Give me your camera sir." he said in a none to friendly manner.

Luna skipped out of the school yard after doing a few runs around the track. "Finally tonight is the moon ceremony." she smilied as she twirled around gracefully on her feet. "The music, dancing under the moonlight. Its going to be so much fun." she giggled as she continued on her way.
She then spotted four people one of them she did not know who it was. "Is there something wrong?" she asked as she came over to them, feeling the tense pressure in the air made her worry.

"P-please, allow me to introduce myself." Athrun said bowing to the assembling people. "I am Athrun Mioko. I meant no harm to anyone." He said holding his camera defensively. "I am simply a reporter from the Mariam Times who has been sent to observe your Moon festival." He already knew a little bit about it. The ceremony took three nights, three nights leading up to the full moon, and on each of these nights it was said that strange things happened. "Please ladies, and sir, I only wish to observe your customs."
