Welcome to Coffee Talk, were we talk about our dogs and our daughters Talk amongst yourselves. I think this would be a good time to do some of our own updating. This place is smelling a little like an unloved gym locker with a few pairs of dirty socks. My Idea for Front Page Text: The real world can be a scary place.
Gaia Can be even Scarier.
From the Trolls to the Flamers, The Spammers to the beggars.
Poll Jumpers offers an oasis from the hustle and bustle of the main forums. We're all friends here, free to share our opinions, our talents, and our lives.
as well as : Member testimonials
My Idea for the member list: We should send all the members a PM
asking them if they want to stay, if theres no reply with in a month, remove them, but tell them they are welcome to come back when they return to gaia
Blurb stuffs: I have no idea for this one sweatdrop
New Images: we should vote on a color scheme
and a theme
Subforums: I think we should have a memorable thread subforum for PJ nostalgia
Stickeys: I think we should have a Introduce yourself, a How'd you find poll jumpers, and a guild news

I think we should do a clear out of old threads and sort them into the appropriate subforums. By old, I mean anything that is not from 2008. So 2007 and older could be sorted through and moved.
I agree with the nostaglia idea for super-popular threads, so that would be taken into consideration when moving too. Creating a new subforum would be good I think (plus we have the funds stashed right? xd ).
Regulars as mods - what about those who haven't been regular in a while but are mods at the moment? I do think those who are regular should be mod'd - makes life easier and uh, there's not much to do as mods here anyways (cuz you know, we have such rampant bad behaviour here! lol).
Just wondering, but is it possible to mass pm all members of the guild? If not, I'm not that keen on pm'ing over 500 people but with mod help it wouldn't be too bad.
We definitely need a new image! I noticed that the old prom one got deleted a while ago, and well, it was old too. Maybe we should do recent snapshots of awesome for it - like change it once a month to keep up with what's big here. Ongoing jokes, holiday themes, guild events, etc. Personally, I'd prefer something on the front page that is inclusive of everyone/a little more general.
So do we want to expand the regular member base too? Like, what are the guild goals? Should we plug more for new members?
OMG speaking of parties! Are we long overdue for one or whut?? :O

I've noticed that the front page doesn't have a picture. What happened to it? The membership list should be updated with current members. I agree with Monochrome on sending everyone a pm and if there is no reply to just cancel their membership and welcome them back if they want t re-join us.
And speaking on parties, we are long overdue. I loved them!

Isabelle So do we want to expand the regular member base too? Like, what are the guild goals? Should we plug more for new members? I think we should focus firstly on just cleaning and organizing, once that is done up, along with the guild upgrades, we might get new members anyways. But as for advertising for members, I think that might be worth having a whole new special discussion about afterwards. If we were to do that, though, I would suggest changing the names of Poll Jumpers officially to PJs. Poll Jumpers seems.... odd... and most people do not know that it refers to the old gold glitch from years ago, as most people do know not that there even was a gold glitch. I'd like to keep the poll rule, though. It's entertaining, it makes the page look uniform, and we come up with some damn clever polls sometimes because of it xd

Ack reading the anniversary thread this week, I felt really old. >___> There were all these peeps talking about personals, and...pink links! And how 1k felt impossible to do. xd

We first need to clean up before we spend energy getting newbies. Otherwise they'll take a peak and be all confused . Anyway, PMing everyone is gonna be tough but I'm willing to help unless someone comes up with another idea. I personally have no other idea except just dropping them but it doesn't seem be PJish. I also agree that we should change the name to PJs. Poll Jumpers just doesn't make any sense anymore. PJs may not exactly make sense but it sounds better. I really like the idea of changing the front picture based on what's the 'big topic' or joke in the guild. It would just be nice to see when you get to the guild. And if more of the regulars are mods than any of us could change it for a quick 'haha' for everyone. It won't mean one person has to do the constant changing. And avi art is always awesome for a front page. Woot.
