I went down to my grandparents house and the local high school band wants me to play in their band with them.
Ever happen to anyone else?

A while back, I went to my friend's house for a week and he goes to a different school and plays French Horn. I play Trumpet. Well, my school had a break, but his didn't so, I went to school with him one day, and I played in their band. I come from a fairly large band. We march about 100 "people." His band was a strictly concert band (and only about 20 people), so I was used to playing grade five music. They were practicing a grade two maybe low three, and I was sightreading better than them. I was like OMG. I felt bad. But, I got a hug from a random cute Alto Saxaphone player. 3nodding

FORTE 411 Wow, that's pretty cool. Though it's never happened to me, I wish it would. : P How did they meet you? well, i was wearing my 2008 show shirt and i went to chuch with my grandparents. the High School bd was there (my grandparents talk alot about me to him i guess) and he asked me to play in the Mardi Gras parade with their band. i would have, but my parents made me decline because this was "family bonding" time.....
