So…you have this friend, right?

And you think this friend would be a good asset to the guild or…whatever.

So what do you do?

You come here and post their name =D

This thread’s purpose is for members of “CP” to suggest people they would like to join the guild.

( You can thank SilentBreeze for this idea. Hopefully I’m doing it right xD ).

Of course, please do not post just any name. Prospective members should be ( at the very least ) of a semi-literate caliber in terms of role playing. And if they are semi-literate, they should have the intent of becoming better writers.

Overall requirements of literacy for this guild are as follows:

1. At a bare minimum, three paragraphs per post with five sentences to each paragraph.
2. Lacking in spelling and grammatical errors, for the most part anyway.
3. Capable of being nice and respectful.
4. Creativity

I’m leaving out things like, “god-moding” and “mary-sues” because…I think the banning of such things should be obvious xD

So, feel free to post any names and I will take them into consideration for membership of this guild. ( You all know I’m not very strict anyway ).

It would help if you posted, along with the name, a sample of their writing. But, since I trust all of you not to give excessive grief, I’ll probably invite the person without a sample :3

Thank you, everyone!

Alright, because my sister is doing me a favor joining the guild I will apply for her in here since i don't want to cause her any undue trouble.

Her username is serenesan

Eithne leaned forward on the bench as another one disappeared into the pillar that led to the Platform. She was supposed to be going over there too, but no, she was sitting here, on a bench some 14 paces away, watching as other people, presumably students, went to the pillar and entered the platform, some sneakily, afraid that the hordes of passing travelers would see them and some unsure as if they expected to hit their head instead of pass through. Herself? She was one of the latter, though not due to the fact that she could hit her head. She just wasn't sure what to expect on the other side and wasn't sure if she wanted to find out.

A few months ago, some person had come to her, how he found her was beyond her but he did, and he told her of this place. She'd never heard of these types of things before, well except in fairy tales, and in her experience, fairy tales didn't come true. He took her out to get a decent meal and some nicer clothing, but she'd refused to listen much to his stories. After a few weeks of him somehow finding her in whatever obscure corner she'd decided to hide herself in and repeating the routine of their first encounter, she'd decided to listen to him a little more, if just to humour him.

Once he had her somewhat convinced, though ever doubtful for that wouldn't change, he brought her to some bank where there was apparently some money for her, not a whole lot, but enough for the purposes. That in itself was a novel idea. She had money? Course the money looked pretty useless. It didn't look like the stuff she saw all those people in the markets buying things with. Then he brought her through a hand-full of stores buying things here and there which she'd apparently need for this school he wanted her to go to. Dunno why he'd want her to go to some special school. She wasn't extraordinary in her own institute. She got whatever he told her to and she went to her 'home' for the night with just the date the train would leave and the place and platform. Platform 9 3/4. She didn't question it. She'd never been to a train station before and for all she knew, the platforms at this particular station were all numbered between 9 and 10 with lots of fractions or decimals.

This morning, she woke to a raven pecking at a nearby window, and upon chasing it away, ran into a car that was to take her to the station. She was hesitant to go with the man, hey bad things happen all the time to poor unsuspecting people, but when he used the name of that man who'd first found her, she'd given in and went with him. He'd dropped her off at the station and then left her to navigate her own way through. She wasn't quite sure what to do, but hey, give her some credit. She was smart, you had to be to survive and make it to the top in her world, and after watching a few people, she caught on and mimicked their actions. Then she started looking for that platform... and found no sign of it. She figured it must be some trick and had to be somewhere between 9 and 10 so she sat and waited and watched and saw people disappear into a wall, or pillar rather. Well, that would be the place.

Her trunk lay next to her and atop it, a cage containing an ermine, which attracted odd stares from those who were not too busy trying to get where ever it was that they were going. Her long fingers tapped the cage lightly. She wanted to let the thing out, but in a place like this, no telling what mischief it may stir up. It lay peacefully for the moment, its brown coat gleaming in what light showed through the windows.

She sighed and stood up, stretching her arms high above her head and dropped them, still watching that pillar. She brushed off her skirts, not even wanting to know what else could have been on that bench and she looked to the ermine with a questioning look. "Ready?" The ermine raised its head and merely looked at her. What else was it to do? "Well, I guess we're as ready as we'll get." She picked up her jacket and the cage, and pushed her trunk over towards the pillar as yet another student entered. She gave it a final shove. It passed through and she followed after it.

She looked around at the new surroundings, at the train so shiny and new looking, at the other people who she'd seen entering earlier and just shook her head. What am I doing here? I don't belong here. But she couldn't go back, so she went forward, now dragging her trunk behind her. She approached the train and hauled the trunk onto the car, grunting with effort. Cursed thing, what was in here that made it so heavy? Oh right... books, and clothing, and stuff that she couldn't put a name to because she'd forgotten the name the man put to it. She dragged the thing to a compartment and managed to stow it before taking a look around the said compartment and then plopping down on the seat, pushing her long, black hair irritably out of her face. Time to settle in for a long ride, she supposed.

deFig

She's not really planning on joining any serious rps right now cause she's too busy (xD Aren't we all?), but even when she's not serious about the rps, we always at least write semi-literately. She's applying now, actually, and she had some nice ideas of threads to make. So yes. That is my good word of the day... or month... or perhaps year. xD

I definitely need to pay more attention to this board xD

Rukia, is your friend still interested in joining? I'd be happy to send her a PM if she is.

And I'm glad Miss deFig did join :3

I have a very good friend and RP partner of five years named Yun Xorin. She's very creative and awesome. We currently have a hobby of going into noobish rps in a particular guild and saving them or just taking them over. Anyway, here's an rp sample taken from midway through an rp.

Yun Xorin

Hylde was visibly shocked by the way she had just been treated, although she made sure to hide it away quickly as a few of her guards had given her a darkening look. It was unfortunate that it was a princess and not a lord, else she could challenge them to a fight to settle this sort of dispute. She had never really met one quite as rude. Actually, that was a lie - but she was victorious against him afterwards and so it was all fine and dandy on her side afterwards. She didn't think that Lord Gaspon had ever shown face in that town again after being beaten by a woman. Suffice to say that the princess was beginning to tick all the boxes to get into Hylde's book of loathing. There were only a few so far, but she had them all written down - literally too, although the pages in which she wrote them were not titled loathing, instead it was an inconspicuous parchment. She kept the list of nobles so as, when her own campaign came under way she would know who to hunt down and hound like dogs when she came to power. And she was going to get power some day. This tournament wasn't the first she had entered, and she had already amassed soldiers and three knights of their own to her cause.

Tournaments were a wonderful way to gain renown, as well as followers.

She took a few steps after Anette, but only to catch her attention. "Ah, my lady.." she began, stopping once more. Her squire was standing just behind her now, watching the exchange with wide eyes. "Forgive me, but I must beg a delay of you for I must retire to my tent first." She noticed the guards stiffen in her peripheral vision, although none made a move for their weapons as a sign of any wrong doing on her part, to which she was grateful. She knew that what she was doing was most probably an incredibly dangerous thing - refusing a seemingly spoilt princess of her wants and wishes. She still had her armour on, which was good if she turned around and ordered her entourage to decapitate her. It was upon this thought that she remembered about her little squire and where he might be. It was a quick glance around to behind her which put a smile to her face. There he was, as always, cowering behind her in the face of everything and anything. He really was such a scared child, heaven forbid his father find out.

She was also relieved to see her more or less faithful companion coming up behind her, fresh from the jousting that had suddenly been delayed - presumably much to his dismay. He didn't wear her colours, instead his own - a rich green with a golden stag head placed right in the centre. His armour was a lot less detailed and a lot more functional when compared to Hylde's, although it still set him apart from the normal soldier with a few details beaten in here and there. She was relieved to have some form of backup - even if it was Barnett who was better known for his prowess among women than his fighting skills. He followed them for the tournaments, and she kept him for his power among nobles as he was a wonderfully charismatic person that seemed to glow with his apparent wisdom of the world. He was two inches shorter than her, which he hadn't liked at first. She turned back to princess Anett, to continue on her brave refusal.

"I regret that I am tired from the fighting, but I am more than happy to join you later in the day after I have rested. Perhaps only a few hours delay is all I must beg from you." She gave a small bow at the end, to show some form of respect for the guards' sake, a hand on her stomach as she did so.
