congrats! i hate auditions too. our auditions are different. it is like, u play front of your whole section and the band directors dont look at you and they dont know who you are when u play. we have letters. and we have audition with our region music for concert season. marching season is scales. so marching season i was 1st chair in symphonic band (2nd band) cause i am a freshie. and i made wind symphony cause i passed upperclassmen region and freshman region other wise i wouldnt be in wind symphony until next year.
good luck and hope u do ur best! biggrin

That's awesome. I have never tried out for Honor Band but I did this year. I got 3rd/2nd chair, only because my band didn't try out and we got entered late. The stupid people had told us that they weren't having Honor Band and then told us a week ago that they were. All the people in my band made last chairs.

nice, I'm fifth out of six flutes in Honors, but in my defense the others all have private tutors but me.

I know that feeling; in every honor band I'm one of the last flutes in the section. I don't really care though, so long as I'm in. Great job, anyway!

In December was the first time I ever tried out for an Honor Band, but I'd made some before when I didn't have to try out. I made the last band, 5th out of 9 trombones, but there was almost no part difference between 1sts, 2nds and 3rds, so it didn't mater what chair you were unless you liked half notes instead of whole notes.
