Yep, I'm known as the army's b***h now. I just got sworn in today, and at the end of March *not sure the day sorry* I'll be going to boot camp for 10 weeks, and then off to Texas for 25 weeks of training in the field that I've requested to join.
So, even though I'm not sure how my training will be with internet access, I can at least tell you that I will have no internet access during boot camp.
If you wish to exchange letters with me during those weeks, just PM me, and I will add your address to the list that's been growing today since people have been finding out.
If you don't wish to give me your RL address, then please, send me a PM with your email address so that if given the chance, I can send you an email perhaps.
And I'll update this thread again whenever I find the official day for my departure.

@ Eva: Army, active for six years, and reserve for the last two years, and to signal analysis as long as I pass the clearance check.
@ Rei: It's not that I'm not happy with joining the military, but with me signing active, I'm not looking forward to being out of my nephew and niece's lives. *shrug* Even with me being off to visit them on federal holidays and stuff.
As to why I'm joining the military, I'm doing it for job security you could say. I was tired of going from job to job, and not really having peace of mind, and now, I've got the next eight years planned out. And that brings me a lot of comfort. ^^
Plus, seeing the world is kick a**, and once I get my hands on a camera, computer, and the internet again, expect a lot of picture posts. XDD

La Petite Mort Du Temps Oh... Wow... I wouldn't have even thought that you even wanted to join the army... Clearly I was mistaken... *shrug* I've actually been thinking about it for a while, I just didn't want to join while there was a HUGE guarantee that I was going to be shipped to Iraq. Sure, it still might happen, but it shouldn't be that big of a risk.

I've always wanted to try to see the world, and all it's splendors, never mind the fact that, for the most part, I'm not someone that likes sitting in one place for long periods of time. But that's just me. @ MoL I'll be sitting at a computer, so I'm not going to be a sniper MoL.

Sorry, my ASVAB score wasn't that high, and the fact that I'm female kinda prevents that as well in the case that I become a POW during war.
