Never ever get credit cards! No matter how much of a pinch you get into, never sign up for a credit card!
Okay, now that I've done my rantings... Here is why. I have had nothing but problems with my two credit cards. The first one I got so I could make small purchases and pay them off with each statement, you know, maintain a positive line of credit with a zero balance. That went to hell one month when Mark was unemployed. We had to buy food, gas, pay bills...
I got a Lowes credit card when my washer broke so I could get another one (and not put the washer on my bank credit card). I have had more problems with the Lowes website and setting up payments. Hopefully, that will be paid off in the next few months, but I'm tired of calling up customer service and getting "I'm sorry, but we have no record of..."
Be smart, NEVER get a credit card! Make half payments on bills until you get caught up, or call the companies for more payment options before you make the stupid mistake of getting a credit card.

Hmm. Noted. I think I'll take the Louis CK path, that being when the day comes the electric company calls me announcing that they will be shutting off my heater, I'll proudly reply "THAT'S WHY I GOT BLANKETS!!!".

You could get that one credit card thing that Gaia advertises... It's like a reusable gift card FOR EVERYWHERE. And you get 1oK for signing up!

That's not true. Now a days, debit cards work anywhere... except those scary little stores that only take cash O.o
We live perfectly fine without credit cards. The problem is that $1000 put on a credit card one month when Blue was out of work escalated to $4000 because of the interest. Now, with the current economic climate, there's little hope of paying it back.

Yes... but... and I mean this in the most loving way... you need to have a job to keep up the payments on your car... so it's kinda your own fault for not applying yourself toward finding a job, Kenny-Boy. And I know both your mom and brother... there's no denying you've been lazing around for the past year.
