[@Guild mods: If this is a not okay subject to thread about please remove it, and I apologize in advance.]

I know it's a bit early to bring up but Anime Boston 2009 is right around the corner.

Last year I had a blast but major issues getting from Chelsea to Boston at 6am and back at 3am. Needless to say parents get pissed 'cause busses don't run that late. So I'm trying to put together a group of my friends so we can get a room and save some hassle.

Anyone else with this problem?

Considering everyone needs a headquarters for Cosplay maintenance wardrobe changes, Merchandise drop offs and most of all hygiene, I looked into hotel prices.

And I wanted to cry! Of course I knew the host hotel would be over priced as always, but a price to person ratio!?! I shed tears. Who cares if we have a four of fifth person sleeping in the tub? x.x And the only way to afford a hotel is to split the cost with roomies.
Look at what I found:

3 People, 1 Bed = $258.64/night

Three Nights = $776 total and $260 each!

4 People 2 Beds = $303.62/night

Three nights = $911 and $228 each!

+$45 for three night for a cot.

That's heart breaking for a group of lower middle class high school students. Even if we all find separate logging we don't have a prayer of affording it.

So coming to my point,
Dose anyone know any cheaper hotels near by preferably in walking distance?
Dose anyone have better idea's for logging?
How what do you do when the con rolls around? Who do you stay with?

Check into the Hilton across the street from the Sheraton. It might be slightly cheaper.

Wow, I didn't know they did # of ppl-to-cost pricing on hotels eek I don't think I'd be honest enough to give them a full # lol Prices are of course going to suck while you're in the heart of back bay/boston area... maybe get a hotel a little bit farther off and take the T in to the convention? It might be a little more hassle, but it might work out cheaper for you.

I'm spoiled and get fed, paid & a hotel from the booth I work at sweatdrop sweatdrop Its a sweet deal, but it is work!

Best of luck with your arrangements!! heart

Also, if you go to the anime boston web page, there should be special pricing at some of the hotels near by for the convention... did you mention you were going for the con when you checked prices?
