I was thinking about this a while ago and I decide to post it to see if anyone had any ideas? I mean, do you think the disease is spread only through a bite while in werewolf form or is it as viral as...say...AIDS? What's your opinion?

I was under the impression that it could only be spread through bites. But you make an interesting point. Can it be passed on to children through birth?

Well...Jo seems to defy most conventions for our beliefs on magic and magical creatures...I've never seen anything in an interview on whether or not her werewolves follow the normal rules or differ.
I wonder sometimes...

I think that it can only be fully passed while the person is in werewolf form, as we saw with Bill. But Bill did have some wherewolf like traits so maybe full lycanthropy can only be spread through a bite after a transformation but maybe milder forms can be passed on in other ways. Someone really needs to ask Jo that.

I dunno, maybe like...AIDs only...if it happens while the werewolf is human form...then it's like...Mini..AIDs?
Or cancer! YEAH!
If you're bitten by a werewolf or have blood fluids exchanged (what the hell are you doing?!?!) during the full moon then it's like AIDs.
Other wise it's just a various form and is like a various form of cancer--some have cures--most don't.

I personally don't think it can be passed on to children through birth. Well, it's like... magic..or... whatever... x_X
And, I don't know... it's on your blood, but yeah, that doesn't make a point, the mother passes her blood to the child -_-"
But, ah, I dunno, it just seems, like, it wouldn't happen. Being a werewolf is unique. It's that person, cuz that person was bitten, and stuff, the curse wouldn't pass to the child. That's only what I think, at least. ;P~~

*ponders* Hmm.......I think it can only be fully transmitted through a bite from a fully transformed werewolf. (For those of you who might agrue about Bill being attacked by a werewolf.)
At least thats my opinion. sweatdrop I don't really know for a fact......and I also agree that someone really should ask Jo about this.......otherwise its one of those unexplained mysteries.
