((Bored and needing some RP. xD Plus, they're fun <3))

Marina curled her tail closer around her feet, not bothering to look over her shoulder as she waited for her best friend to join her by the seaside. Marina had asked Ianthe if she could have a break from her tribe duties and visit the mainlanad; thankfully, she'd agreed. Caspian, bless him, had been more than willing to watch the kids while she was gone. She was glad of that, because she missed Mailuk. Cas understood that, and that was why she loved him.

Speaking of Mal...Where was he? Maybe he was with his own children? She'd heard through the grapevine that he'd become a father, and she couldn't be happier for him. Children were the best thing that had happened to her, but she was very curious as to who their mother was. How had Mal even convinced somene to settle down? How had she convinced him?

Snorting to herself, Marina shook her head. She just hoped he was happy.

[[Fun indeed!~ 8D <33]]

"Stay put, alright, Vartan? I don't want to come back home only to find out it's missing a kid."

"Sure, Daddy!~" A young fox chirped out, his appearance nearly identical to his mother's, white and pink marking his body here and there. A nod of his head given to his father at the order.

"And son.." This time, a voice holding a stern tone spoke.

"Yes, Da'?"

"..Try not to act too much like a girl while I'm out."

"Sure, Daddyki-.." A short moment of silence followed before the younger adult answered. "Yes. Yes, Da'."

"Hmph." Mailuk huffed out to himself, giving a slight shake of his head left and right as he walked. That stupid little scene from earlier that morning kept on playing in his head, annoying him to bits and pieces. He hadn't meant to use those exact words, no! He had tried to come up with something that sounded a little.. kinder. But no, it hadn't popped up in his head at the time, instead, the snippish 'Don't act like a girl!' line had came out. With Sykn, the right words came to him with surprising ease. And with his son? Nope! Harsh, icky, unnaturally mean blobs of speech spilled out.

Suddenly, an unexpected tug at his front leg caught his attention. One of his arm warmers had gotten snagged in between the gnarled limbs of a stick wedged into the ground. Growling lightly at the troublesome branch, the rose backed fox gave a quick bite at the thin wood, snapping it and leaving a much smaller piece stuck in the fabric of his clothing. Tugging at it gently, Mailuk then spat out the bit, letting a dissatisfied smile go over his maw. "Obstructions aren't needed right now, thank you very much! Already have 'nuff on my plate for the day.." He said, speaking once again to himself more than anyone else. He had to make sure that feminine son of his was safe and secure in one place before he could go anywhere anymore! Sykn and his two boys would surely have his head if anything were to happen to Vartan.

Speaking of feminine... Something was just bugging hi-Gah, that's right! He was supposed to meet up with Marina! Preparing once again to continue on his way to meet up with his best friend, he tripped over his feet at his first step, letting out a yelp as he tumbled to the ground. A few thumps and 'oofs' and he was through the brush, rolling to a stop on his stomach.. on sand! His ears perked up at the odd feeling of the grains against his fur, but his sapphire colored eyes sparkled with delight at the familiar vixen he spied nearby. He had arrived.. certainly not with class or style, but he was there, wasn't he?

"Urgh.. that's not pleasant.." Mailuk muttered with a soft groan as he picked himself up, making his way over. "And how long has the lady been waitin' for moi?" He questioned with one of his usual cheeky grins, reaching out and giving her a light nuzzle. "How're you doing, 'Rina? Good, I hope?"

Marina turned and laughed as she heard her friend, making an entrance the way only Mailuk could. She nuzzled him back when he came over, shaking her head lightly.

"Not long, no worries." She smiled brightly at him, her long blue tail swishing behind her happily. "I'm doing very good, but I'm better now. How about you? I heard you had kits? Don't look so surprised, we get gossip at Bateau," She said, laughing softly. She patted the ground next to her with a paw, saying, "C'mon, sit, stay a while. I've missed you,"

It was true. It had been ages since she'd seen her best friend, and there was something wrong with that. She had missed him terribly, and she wanted to use whatever small time they had together to actually talk and be like they used to, before she'd met Caspian, and before Mai had met...Jeeze, she didn't even know Mai's mate's name! How sad was that?

"It's been far, far too long," Marina said softly, resting her head on her paws, then glancing up at him sideways. "Don't you think?"

It was nice being around Marina again. It had been.. What?... A while?

"Not long is too long, though. And I will worry~" Mailuk said with an out-puff of his chest and a small, childish frown before smiling at her, a laugh coming from the blue fox. "Mmhm! I've been doing good. It's great to hear you're doing alright too." He replied with the smile lingering on his face as he seated himself down beside Marina, curling his bushed tail around his paws. At the mention of kits from her, however, a rather smug grin planted itself on the rose-backed foxes maw.

"You heard right! I did have kits, three little boys with my mate, Sykn." He explained, giving a wag of his bushed tail against the ground, stirring up a small puff of dirt. "But wait.. I don't think the two of you have met yet. Why, it really has been a while!" Mailuk added, giving a soft chuckle after he had finished speaking. "We sort of met by chance and clicked, and then... Well, kids followed after. Yep! Edward, Aquila and Vartan."

Giving a nod of his head in agreement with her, Mailuk gave a huff. "It has been a while,." His ears then perked up in interest as he looked over at Marina, giving a smile and a tilt of his head. "Hey! Speaking of kids, how are yours and Caspian's doing?"

"That's great!" Marina said enthusiastically, grinning at her best friend as he spoke of his kids with that same tone of pride that always came to her own voice when she spoke of her children.

"They're doing fine. Crazy, but fine," She said with a laugh. "Aidan and Nausika don't like the island much, they think it's too small, and Mortimer seems to think his siblings are mad and will infect him if he gets too close," She said with a goodnatured roll of her eyes as she spoke of her quietest child.

"But no, I haven't met...Sykn, you said? yet," She said, pouting childishly. It was so easy to forget her responsibilities and just be a kid again when she was with Mailuk. She liked that feeling, and she smiled. "I bet she's great, though," In truth, Marina had been worried that Mail might never settle down; when she'd heard the news, she'd been a mix of shocked and ecstatic, and seeing her friend happy made the latter far outway the first.

"How's life been?" She asked, tilting her head at the rose-covered fox. "Busy, I suppose?"
