Maverick was given the 'honor' of raising a God-child quite unexpectedly, when he was trying to perfect a spell. Needless to say, he was a little odd about the whole thing. An Arrikanez, Mav is used to strange things occurring around him. He was born to the God of Life by the God of Destiny at around the same time as his other brothers, Faide, Raizen, and Dragon. Being a middle-child, he feels no obligation to any of them, but would gladly lay down his life for either. On 'principle'. He is a necromancer by trade and pride, having perfected spells to raise and soothe undead and dead alike. His dabbling with the dark arts, however, has left him minus the skin and muscles on one arm. Unfortunately, the 'curse' of the dark magic he tampers with is spreading. What happens when it takes over his arm and shoulder is currently unknown, but it's something Maverick is working to prevent.

A relic right now, Reever sits calmly around Maverick's neck - no matter what he's doing. Reever's magic is starting to show a little with Maverick's suddenly being able to heal his wounds much faster than he thought possible. He's also gotten a little... nicer. Which is odd as all get out. Maverick? Nice? This pendant is seriously screwing with his head.
