[OoC: I'd like to request mirror posting and posting in order, please.]

Today, Jamie had decided to stand and wait an hour in advance according to the Drill Sergeant's appointed time for the day's training session. It was noon, mid-day, but as it was winter, still cold despite the sun's presence high in the sky. The recruit turned her back towards the shining rays to observe if it warmed her nape but found it not very effective. Still the position allowed her to gaze up at the sky without shading her eyes from glaring fire and watch the clouds. The question of why the sun glared and the clouds didn't came to her mind. Still, she found both heavenly sights beautiful.

The standing and waiting didn't really bother the recruit and her thoughts soon went to a training-related topic. Jamie went through pieces of advice she learned from the wind and from teachings for training from both before and during her time here in the academy, which included aiming at being prepared and bracing oneself for what may occur during training and being cautious about behavior and issuing statements or questions. Jamie alternated between her thoughts and gazing at the sky.

Keiran through the tall grass, attempting to blend into his surroundings like a predator stalking its prey. Except the 'tall grass' was actually an open field covered in snow, so essentially, he was burrowing through the inches of white powder. A movement caught his eye, and he quickly rushed to the nearest tree, still on all fours. Once at the trunk of the rather skinny and leafless tree, he stood up and pressed himself flat against the thin trunk. He peered around to glance at his target, a young (but older than he) dark-haired woman who was staring rather intently at the sky.

Target had been sighted as he studied the easiest path to reach his prey - which was straight ahead. If the Drill Sergeant could see him now, he might even be proud of the boy's tactical movement. Keiran did have the potential to be an excellent wolfrider, but his more childish side usually overrode his intelligence.

Taking a deep breath, Keiran suddenly rushed out from behind the tree and ran full speed at Jamie. Releasing a war cry, "You can't escape me now, Fairy Queen!" - he was three feet away from her when he jumped up with his arms wide, ready to pounce right on top of her.

Chehero watched the scene play out before her raising her eyebrow in slight amusement, this academy sure had a wide range of students. She had been leaning against the very tree Keiran had crept his way around, laughing mentally at the immaturity. Her eyes twinkling as predictions about Jamie's reactions danced about her, eventually deciding it would be safest to just watch -and funnier- Chehero removed herself from the tree she was leaning against and walked towards the pair a grin of amusement lighting her face. Waiting for the eventual reaction Chehero then let out a well earned laugh, "I-i am sorry." She apologized beaming at the excitement the day was going to start out with.

Running her small fingers through her long white and pink hair Chehero then offered her other hand out to the two recruits, one she had recognized from previous classes the other, well, seemed much newer. Her eyes danced towards the boy, "oh my if you have managed to find the fairy Queen where is the king then?" A small pout tugging at the corners of her lips, she winked at Jamie to show she was only joining in on the small game.

[OoC: Starr-san, Tigress-san, do you mind that I changed the RP type to [ASK]?]

'Fairy queen? As in a character that's mentioned in storybooks?' was all Jamie had time to think as she turned in wide-eyed surprise, gasping slightly, at the motion she sensed only able to further react with beginning an evasive maneuver with a crouching movement, purpose being the execution of a jump back, that was halted by collision. She wasn't upset at the physical part of falling, she had fallen down many a time, in thorny fields and even with a sharpened hoe in hand. No, she was upset at herself, disappointment indicated by her slightly furrowed brows as she looked around. Taking in open field, her state, and the recollection of only having sensed Keiran when he was nearing a foot of her, it struck Jamie that she had been hunted and this further told her she hadn''t been alert enough and then she remembered stories about training involving always being alert and at this she admonished herself for her guard slipping. All this happened in a few moments.

But it was not Jamie's nature to wallow in disappointment. Disappointment in those few moments then took a quick turn and became positive determination. 'I'll be darned if I'll let this happen to me this easily again,' she thought as she made this transition. The eccentric recruit then felt like and began to laugh, a joyful, charming, little laugh that made her seem like a child at play back home with playmates.

"You're quite the hunter, aren't you?" Jamie gentle yet firm voice addressed the boy with a fiery shine of her determination showing in her eyes mixed with her cheerfulness, the edges of her lips curled in a smile. The recruit recalled tales of hunters utilizing openings, comparing observations for raising success rate from picking from fluctuations on guard. She couldn't be certain if the other recruit needed to play this card during his hunt on her, but she noted it was still a useful tactic to keep in mind.

"Oh, thank you and it's alright," Jamie accepted the offered hand appreciatively as she replied to the female recruit who had approached them with a soft yet bright tone. "Yes, can the queen be seen without the company of the king?" Jamie then asked sounding calmly yet genuinely interested, her features seemed of a relaxed seriousness though her eyes shone with the hint of curiosity in likeness to a kitten's.

[OoC: Fine with me. ^^]

Keiran found himself sprawled over Jamie's legs, silently applauding himself for successfully catching his target. Any other recruit would be thinking about how the Drill Sergeant would be proud to see this, but not Keiran - he was thinking about how excited Lorie would be when he told her that he had managed to capture their life-long target. Now to find a way to take the Fairy Queen back into his room... what did faeries eat? Would she fit in his trunk? Or maybe he'd have to stuff her under the bed.

"I'm not a hunter," Keiran answered the question with a touch of confusion to his boyish features. Actually, he had no idea what the word meant - he'd heard it used frequently with wolves, maybe it was a nickname? He looked innocently up at Jamie. "Wolves are hunters, silly. I'm a human!" As an afterthought, he added, "And you're the Fairy Queen!" just in case she didn't know, since she seemed quite confused by who was what species.

Watching as a new figure walked up to them and helped the Fairy Queen up, Keiran refused to let go of his catch. His arms were wrapped around one of Jamie's legs, half lying on the ground and the upper half of his body slightly lifted. He glanced at Chehero with a quizzical look, and then suddenly widened his eyes and gasped in delight. "Oh, YOU're the Fairy King. That's why you've come to help your Queen!"

A moment of thought as Keiran debated what to do now. First, he had to keep the Fairy Queen long enough to show Lorie so they could decide on what to do. But now it was revealed that there was a Fairy King! Whatever would he do with this new fairy? Catch him too? Keiran really didn't want to let go of his current catch in case she tried to run away. Maybe he could trick them! "I have some hot sauce back in my room!" Yes, that would certainly catch their attention; it was a well-known fact that faeries loved hot sauce - or so Lorie said, but Lorie was always right.

((OoC: Not sure if Feathermist will be out of place here so if she is please tell me. As I desperately want to Rp with her.))

Chehero looked aghast towards Keiran, did she really look like a boy!? Looking down at the boy Chehero placed her closed fists on her hips, raising an eyebrow in thought. Tugging on a piece of pink and white hair Chehero's electric eyes slowly moved from Keiran to Jamie, "just because I helped her up doesn't make me a king. I am not a boy!" Her voice echoed with a slight teasing tone. "I mean don't you think a king would need to be a boy? I could be her sister, or her cousin, you never know." Chehero spoke as best she could trying to make everything seem as mysterious as she could, smiling all the while.

Still tugging on the strand of hair in her fingers, Chehero tried to puzzle over what Keiran had meant about hot sauce. The stuff was just not quite right, and always made her drink mounds of water. Probably a good thing too, after all Chehero didn't seem to drink enough of it in the first place anyways. Ignoring Keiran's last comment, Chehero leaned forward so she was almost face to face with the younger boy. "How do I know your not the fairy king trying to trick me? Come here to kidnap me and whisk me away into some unknown world of rainbows and dragonflies."

Straitening her posture once again Chehero looked back at Jamie and smirked. Honestly this was to much fun, but what if they had all taken it the wrong way and completely decided that she wasn't worth talking to anymore. Trying to brush off her paranoid thought Chehero glanced back down at Keiran waiting his reply.

He really does suspect I'm the fairy queen, Jamie thought, figuring so by how he continued to cling to her. Were there really such things as fairies after all, though her calm outward features did not match her inward excitement in intensity, Jamie was in actuality very interested. And what was this about hot sauce, she wondered while also following the interaction between the other two recruits. Ah, it clicked in her head, he's trying to lure me to his room. Open-minded as she was, Jamie was thinking over things seriously but with an adventurous air about her. Strategy, a strategy's what we need, a smile came to the recruit's features.

But before she spoke, keeping up with the two's exchange gave her another thing to think about. Could females take up the role of king? she wondered just as interested in this query. Indeed, it was unfamiliar for her to think of both a king and queen being female. She tried to recall in history if she'd heard of a woman in a kingly position, but in this situation of rapid multitasking, thoughts on hierarchy pulled from her thoughts were on training and wolves. Alphas were the kings and queens of the packs and the thought of both Alphas being both female or male was unusual to her as well. Two males or two females couldn't mate and have babies, she noted inwardly, for humans or wolves.

She offered her thoughts in this fascinating situation. "We can figure this matter about the fairy queen and king out together if you'd both like," Jamie spoke with a friendly tone, bending over to place her hands on her knees to discuss with her fellow recruits. "I'm human, too, though. Why are you trying to capture the fairy queen? I'd like to meet the fairy queen and king, too. We could come up with a plan to coax them to reveal themselves." You have yet to offer introduction, came the admonishing thought from Jamie's well-mannered character. "Oh, I'm Jamie by the way, may I ask what your names are?" The recruit extended a hand to Keiran figuring that he may not have changed position in consideration of her fleeing, "And are you comfortable or would you prefer to stand?"

[OoC: If anime doesn't mind, I suppose you can bring Feathermist in. But it would have to be right after Chehero bonded, like the next day or something. Otherwise, newly bonded apprentices are usually transferred to a Fort within two or three days.]

Keiran glanced suspiciously from one person to the next, narrowing his eyes as he considered whether or not this was all a trick so they could fly away and disappear in a blink of the eye. And from all he'd heard, faeries really couldn't be trusted because they were tricky... tricksters. Or something like that. Or had Lora said that they can be trusted? Oh no, Keiran couldn't remember anymore! ...but these two looked friendly enough, right?

"Rainbows and butterflies," he automatically corrected with a serious nod of the head - dragonflies weren't pretty enough to live in the fairy world, everyone knew that. But now Keiran was really confused because this girl was calling him the fairy king. Wait, what if he was the fairy king and simply didn't know it? He loosened his grip on Jamie's leg as he mulled over the possibility. "I'm the Fairy King? Wow..!"

Then he looked up at Jamie as she spoke up, eyebrows furrowing further at each word. Keiran blinked a couple of times and realized that lying on the snow wasn't really comfortable because his shirt was getting wet and cold. Shaking and then nodding his head, he pushed himself off the ground and stood up, glancing down at his damp clothes. But it didn't bother him as much as the fact that Jamie had just revealed she was a human too. "So you're not the Fairy Queen?" he echoed, placing a thoughtful finger on his chin. Then a light bulb lit up somewhere in the dark corners of his mind, and he clapped his hands together with a wide smile. "Oh, this is your human disguise, isn't it?"

As an afterthought, he added, "If you show me your true form, you can have all my hot sauce." Keiran had a lot of hot sauce hidden under his bed, just for moments like this. Good thing he planned ahead!

Chehero raised her eyebrow again, completely unable to comprehend what Keiran was really saying. She fiddled with her hair once again, not really minding that she had been corrected about the difference between dragonflies and butterflies Chehero merely shrugged it off. But his comment that he was the fairy king only confounded her, wasn't he calling her the fairy king only a moment ago? Feeling slightly dizzy from the overwhelming amount of nonsense, Chehero chose to focus her eyes in another directions only half hearing the rest of what he was saying. Only one word stuck out at her Sauce.

He was on the topic of hot sauce again? "Who told you fairy's like hot sauce, what if your wrong and that is what really kills them?" She wanted to make sure he had completely covered all he had been talking about with them and shrugging her shoulders she smiled lightly.
