Magic is magic, Stand. I find nothing wrong with it, though I don't watch his shows.
Everyone knows that magic is all tricks and illusions, so it's their fault when they delude themselves into thinking he's something demonic. *shrugs and flies off*

Chris Angel is kind of like Harry Houdini. They're only playing tricks on ya so they can amaze you.

XD Nice topic Stand. I don't know how a magician can ever be considered demonic. He's just talented. People should leave it at that.

He's a fake, a good fake, but a fake all the same. But I also wouldn't be surprised if he turned out to be a satanist or some such.

Why do you call him a fake? Because you don't know how he does all those incredible things? And how is it performing magic tricks is related to Satan? Of course, magicians, illusionists, etc just use tricks, and they manage to arrange those tricks into amazing performances. I've got a friend who studied magic tricks and specializes in close-up magic (you can see him performing right in front of you, and sometimes the audience is included in the tricks). If you just see it, you will think that it's impossible, but if you know how it is done, then you will be amazed because the tricks were so obvious and should be easy to spot. Card tricks and stuff like that stems from a couple of basic tricks strung together. I guess you can say that "People see what they want to see." I've learned quite a few tricks myself, and still an apprentice magician. I am also studying to be an escapologist. It's no easy stuff, I can tell you. 1-2 years of intensive learning, and you may very well still be an amateur. It doesn't just require talent, but perseverance. Try watching this and this. He's my friend and teacher. smile If needed, I'll even record myself doing one of the tricks I've learned. It's actually more like.. SCIENCE. o_O When you know how it is done.

I just call him a fake because I've seen how he does some of the things he does, videos and things of him showing how he does some of his simpler tricks, and that makes me think all the rest of his magic is fake as well. And the satanist thing was just me being stereotypical.

Well... If that's the way you put it, then all magic tricks are fake, then? And all those action in movies, with the car blowing up or buildings destroyed, they're all fake, too? rolleyes That's a bland way of viewing things.

He got a job at Hoggwarts teaching defense aganst the dark arts on robot chicken...and all the kids said he was using wires and hot-glued the horn to the head of the unicorn he was riding. Before he was stabbed by the unicorn and popped out of it's body through a zipper! MIND FREAK!!!

Old topic is old, but guys, it's Criss Angel. He spells it differently. If I remember correctly, he's also a Christian. He's also 40-ish years old. Doesn't look it, does he?
And yes, his 'magic' is fake. That's why they call him an illusionist and escapist. I still haven't figured out how he levitated over the Luxor or how he did the woodchipper escape, or how he walked on water, but damn! It was cool to watch him do it!
It's the anticipation and the suspension of belief that we tie to magic that leads us to believe that he really is a magician.
