[This RP is invitation-only for those winged Kyn who chose to go with Tigris. No one may join this RP except the people listed below:
Rinu (poke mattix) Teith (poke mattix) Madoc (mewrose) Duncan (Nicky McCloud) Rutilus (DraconArgentum) Nightmare (Cherry_chain)
These are the only five Kyn Tigris has taken with him from the mainland. Several months have passed since they left.]
Tigris narrowed his eyes as he surveyed the Otherkin from the tall rock atop the hill at the center of the island he had taken them to.
A few months had passed, during which Tigris himself had put the chosen Otherkin through rigorous training to prepare them to see the mighty Emperor Rikkashan. The rock itself had been pushed up and placed under Tigris' direction by Rutilus and Rinu. He had given them a lot of work to do over the long months: chopping down trees and dragging them across the island to stack them by a cave; moving earth and digging into caverns and springs; carving furrows in rock to divert water to make ponds; hollowing out trees, and of course, if they weren't working on training other muscles they were flying to strengthen their wings.
And they were growing strong. These Otherkin had grown powerful and lean over the time they had spent with Tigris, living on what food they could catch on the island and training themselves, working in hopes that one day they would be ready to bring the True Kyn and the Otherkin together once more.
A wry little smirk played on Tigris' face, and he leaped down, slinking to the beach where they were all resting together. His metal talon dragged through the sand as he made his way toward, them, lashing his long tail. "I think," he said, his voice carrying over the crash of the surf, "It is time. Prepare yourselves, and return to this beach when you have all you need."

Rutilus was the first to raise his head, breaking the camouflage that his sandy-colored hide afforded him. He nodded once, deliberately, at Tigris in assent. The oversized gargoyle pushed himself up with a grunt, stretched, shook the beach sand from his scales. Knowing the tiger-dragon, they wouldn't have long to prepare. Food, he could last without for some time; water was the priority as he made his way to one of the ponds that he and the others had carved out from the living rock.
He had thrown himself fully into the labors that Tigris assigned him once they had arrived here, he said so that he could be best prepared to help those trapped on the Black Island (Rutilus still couldn't bring himself to call them Truekyn and acknowledge them as superior to the kyns he knew), and it was true, to an extent. In his heart, though, he knew it was to try and keep at bay that insistent tug backwards, back into the thin, cool, pine-scented air of Crater Lake. No dreams came in the night if you were exhausted enough, and no distractions if you focused hard on hauling and digging and flying.
Rutilus had been much changed over the months. Tigris' training had stripped him of almost all his fat stores, and the muscles that had been impressive before now stood clearly defined beneath his hide. He had grown fully into himself now...But what was most changed was his temperament. The massive gargoyle had grown serious and stoic over the months: his easy laugh hadn't been heard for some time. Not that there had been much to laugh at, in any case. Too engrossed had he been on working harder and on what had been promised to come after to search for humor.
Water still dripping from his jaws, Rutilus spread his wings to their fullest, stretching the muscles that connected them to his shoulders and chest. He had a feeling that this journey would not be easy.

Nyte raised his head at Tigri's words, and wordlessly got to his feet. He had grown quiet in the past few months, mostly because he found himself scared to speak. He had been one of the youngest, and knew little about the world in general. He had also been the weakest, struggling to do what Tigris instructed them to.
He was stronger now, like all the others, and was now able to do all the tasks Tigris assigns them. But he still felt beneath everyone, something frustrating for the young Gargoyle. He kept working though, determined to do well one day. He was doing this for Eclipse, his father. He'll make that Lunar proud.
Nightmare watched Rutilus go toward the pond, and stood on the spot for a moment, wondering what he should prepare for. He felt that the most important thing he should probably calm is his nerves. He was nervous about finally going to meet the Emperor they had heard so much about.
He followed Rutilis to the pond to take a long drink, and then headed to an area on the beach away from everyone else. He laid down, mentally preparing himself in anyway he could, ready to get up and start flying at a moment's notice.

At last they were to leave! Madoc looked forward to meeting the kyn they'd soon be helping. Certainly he understood the need for preparations, and didn't begrudge their time here in the least. But helping others were what he'd come for, and he was excited that soon he'd be able to do it.
He stood up from his resting spot and stretched, then shook some loose sand off himself. As his fur ruffled and scales shifted, a faint rustling sound eminated from his shoulder. He looked down at the source, the bow he'd worn since he'd come to Kailind's den. It had gotten dirty and a bit tattered during thri labors on the island, but he refused to part with it. To him it was a reminder; partly of his rider, but moreso of the season it represented to him. It was a certain time during the winter where goodwill and joy abounded, a season he hoped to embody. While he was certain that his rider and the rest of his den would be missing him, he told himself that the cause of these Truekyn was far greater than anything he'd ever done at the den.
Seeing that others were getting a drink of water, he joined them briefly, then returned to th beach and began stretching his muscles a bit in preparation for the journey. He might not have wings to strengthen, but the training had built up his endurance. He did not know if the journey would be long, but because of their training, he was ready even if it was.

The training had been rigous and hard, and at times Teith had wondered if she would be able to keep up. But somehow, she had managed, and now she stood here with the others, ready to embark on a journey that would lead her to a new destination. Soon she would meet these "truekyn" that Tigris spoke so highly of. And then hopefully she would be able to prove just how good she was. Looking behind her, she could see Rinu was sitting and waiting for orders from Tigris. At first, the constant work and orders had both scared and exaugstered the gargoyle, but teith had stayed by her side and gave encoragement were she could. Now, she seemed to obey orders without question. She had lost the puppy-like actions that she had before, and had grown into a powefuly gargoyle kyn. "Come on" she murmured to her, and they both walked towards the pond that held the clean drinking water. There was no need for them to do anything else; they had all they needed to make this journey.
