What is your favorite thing about magic? I'll tell you mine....

favorite thing: 2 many 2 choose, but i really like everything really
why:cuz its so unique and i love doing it(when i have time)
yeah i kno my answer sounds kinda dumb cuz im not really one 2 answer stuff like favorites out of a whole huge subject......and yeah so yeah

I like the concept that there are some things beyond science. I'd say if I had to rate the types of magic I know of. In terms of how much I like them in the realm of magic. It would go something like this.
1. Dream Powers- Any ability that you have exclusively in your dreams. I have a personal interest in this one. As I've actually practiced it for many years.
2. Protectors- Any dedicated protectors such as the legendary Leviathan are definitely welcome.
3. Voodoo- This one..there's a good reason for that I wouldn't share with many people.
4. Parlor tricks- These kinds of tricks are fun to watch. If you have someone that you can discuss how you think the trick was done with. It's interesting to take apart the trick mentally after watching it being performed. These kind of tricks also have quite a bit of entertainment value.
5. Fortune Telling- I've always been highly skeptical about fortune tellers. The future definitely isn't written in stone. Even for someone that was confident about there ability to read the future. I'd have to question just how accurate there predictions really were. Too high accuracy and I would know they were a fraud. Too low and they were either a fake or someone that had little control on there ability.
6. Dangerous types of magical creatures- I'm a strong believer in balance. So I wouldn't be in favor of Dragons for example actually living now a days.

I practice magic because...even though I've been doing it for a while, I still get a sense of the deepest wonder. Not when I see the results, but when I'm creating the results. I enjoy learning new flavors of working (Hoodoo, Brazilian Shamanism, Reiki, Native American Shamanism, Witchcraft, Teutonic...), I get the same pleasure from figuring out a complicated equation, or writing a marvelous phrase. The sense that, for a moment, everything is perfectly aligned. If I'm completely honest, I also get a power trip off it sometimes (not all the time). 'Queen of the Universe' style. It's a flaw that I work on, but it's there... sad

My favorite thing about magic? Hmmmm....I would have to say the elusivness of magic, it is there but only people that actually look and listen can notice it. heh..this sotof sounds sappy......oh well
