Welcome to Angor's Beast Hunt Outside, in the thick forest snow falls, coating everything around it. there are occasional scufling sounds and droping snow as unseen animals move around. You follow the tracs to a small hut that has a plume of smoke from it's chimney.
You walk into a stuffy but warm hut that is round and small and decorated with many various hunting paraphinalea. Around you are many other competitors, jostling for space. At the front, on top of a crate in order to see above the crowd, a well aged man looks over and clears his throat.
"Welcome, all t' the twentyfirst huntin' competition. Me name is Angor, an' I'm in charge o' this Huntin' hut. Now I want yer all t' settle down and i'll go over the rules n' th' like...."
A few rules/notes: *Be nice. Simple as. Your characters can do as they please, but for you the rper, the normal guidelines/rules apply ^_~ *The Dungeon Master's word is law. You can choose not to hunt an animal that appears if you dont' want it, of course. *remember, if you play as TEAMS you CANNOT keep your catch. you MUST sell it (alive or dead) and split the profits. *At each post, please display this info anf keep it updated. It make sthings much easier. Quote: Character name:Your current hp: (as animals can damage it. At 0 you return back to the hut) Team? Other notes: (any other notes you might need) *You get given oen bow & arrows and one rope. The bow and arrows do 3hp damage each time to the prey. But be warned, some prey fights back! DungeonMaster for this game: dragontamer363 The Rules explained, Angor grins through his beard and begins to hands out the equipment to each player. Each player is given one bow and arrows and one rope. "Well, with that tekken care of, let's be havin yer. Get yersselves int' teams if yer want, or go it alone. i'll see yer in a few hours." With that he spreads his hands, laughs, and the players run off into the edge of the forest in serach of their prey.

Quote: Remember, everyone, this runs parallel to any otehr quests/plots you're on, so don't worry about finding time for it - just come along and take part then filter the results into your rp as desired ^_~ Felix trudged through the snow and oepned the door, glad of the wall of heat that greeted him. He had never seen snow before, and while he had wanted to spend more itme out tehre, he was absolutely freezing.

From inside the cabin, a dull thud could be heard outside, accompanied by the ground shaking slightly, followed by what sounded like a growl. A few moments later, Vence stepped into the door, dressed like he always was: a long sleeve shirt, leather armor covering it, a pair of baggy pants, boots which came halfway up his lower leg, a pair of gloves, meant for fighting purposes, and a traveling cloak. A moment later, Serol's head popped into view through the window.
"As much as I like the cold and the snow, nobody else does, so I might as well come inside. Good to see you, Felix," Vence added, a wave of his hand in Felix' direction aknowledging his being there.

Felix grinned and once he sat down he swivelled in his chair to look at him as he entered. "Hey Vence, I'm assuming the lovely gent for your last 'hunting' trip brought you here?" he winked with a grin, hoping he would get lucky this time. He enjoyed the hunt and was looking forwards to it. He was gald he had made a vauge attempt at dressing warm, but as usual his clothes were homemade- a scarppy hand knitted jumper practically hung off one shoulder, and a scarf he had only made the other day was wrapped around his neck. Unde irt all he had his usual outfit - the sleeveless hardy top and trousers in earthy reds and brown, a chunky belt with dragon-embroidered pouches, and his trusty bostaff and axe.

"Indeed he did, and I'm glad too. It's terribly cold after you reach 50 feet, but I like that. The snow on the road here is getting pretty bad." Vence walked over to the center of the room and placed himself on the ground, crossing his legs.

"aw come on, the trudging through the snow is the fun part!" Felix exclaimed with a grin.
"It'll mek it easier fer you to track the animals too." Argor said, lenaing into the conversation and stomping the snow from his boots. "But not so much fer mobility. They'll 'ear you comin' too."

"That may not be a problem. Serol has been teaching me some tricks, so I can probably avoid some of the trouble.

"Oh, you know, bending light, distorting space. It takes a lot of energy, that last one," Vence said, shrugging. "I hope no one minds me being invisible for a little while."

Felix laughed in genuine excitement. "Really? Vence, your talent never ceases to amaze me!" he shook his head din disbelief. "man.. i wish I could do that. the most I can do are little charms. My stuff's only good for packing things and getting to award places though."

"Heh heh, but there are disadvantages, and using magic like that weakens you insanely. You got to have a lot of stamina, and I can only use either of those about twice a day. I need some training, and some that a dragon can't offer unfortunately."

Felix nodded. "True, true. Maybe you'll get better as you get sronger."
He looked up as Argor quickly debriefed everyone and pointed to the usual weapons - a bow and arrow and some rope.

[we'll just pretend there are more than just us here xd ]
Vence nodded after the briefing was over, glad it was. Some people here, like Felix and himself, were veterans, and knew the rules. But it was required to hear them anyway. There was nothing wrong with a refresher though.
Vence glanced over to Felix, smiling. "What do you think we'll catch this time? If there's anything better than a dragon, maybe there's a chance one of us could get it."

[haha yep. I'm sending pms round all the members to try coax a few back xd haha]
Felix laughed. "I've no idea. But i'll tell you this - if you get another dragon I'm gonna kill you." he laughed.
Just as Argor finsihed the door opened and a chill snow-splattered wind blew in and someone else entered. Though he was bundled up in a thick cloak it was quickly obvious that it was Craban under the hood. "Hey, am I late?"
Felix looked over at him, surprised. "I'm supsrised you came back after last time."
Craban sniffed and puleld hsi hod down, shaking the snow form his bangs. he took a seat next to vence and dragged another seat in fornt so he could rest his feet on it. "yeah wel, theft was somewhat of a miscalculation on my part last time. This time I might go legit."
"Really?" Felix wasn't convinced, but shrugged anyway. "Well, glad to see you again."
