Hey, I was just wondering if anyone else was of a like mind. Does anyone else really hate the inability to contact the owners of bred (both ones you adopt and breed) eggs to chat with them or ask them if they need help so your eggs dont die? I think it is really stupid how under "actions" it dosnt say something like "contact owner of parents" or something like that. Also, does anyone else dislike how when you adopt from the abandoned section it gives you more time to grow them? I dont know about everyone else, but I really like to go in there and find hatchlings/eggs that are about to die (i.e. about 1-2 days left) and grow them into adults. But then its says 4 days left. Does anyone else hate that? Sorry, I guess I needed to rant, but I also want opinions!

It's something being worked on. Last I heard, there is a system where a user can say whether or not they need help. At least I thought so. Can't check the Upcoming Features thread from the DC forums. The other feature I remember in that thread is being able to see the owner's scrolls so you can see that the egg will be well taken care of. Some people just wait until 4 days left to gather views. I mean that gives you 12 hours to hatch it.... that's easy.

It would be nice to see who's adopting your eggs (since you can only keep one out of a mutli bred egg clutch). I bred my twin dragons and tracking the other eggs of three and they look like they're about to die D= And that makes me sad ;.;
otherwise I like the idea of gaining a little extra time for eggs and hatchlings when they've been abandoned. o.o

Another one like it is something that denotes what sex a dragon is from the scroll, rather than having to view the dragon to see if it's a boy or girl. Personally, I like it that you get more time, since it makes it so I don't have to worry about it more in a shorter period of time. I like the cushion they give, in case for one reason or another I can't take care of them. In a related topic, I find it highly annoying when people seek 'emergency' eggs and hatchlings, because they can age them quickly. I had a guy wanting to trade me an autumn for a dino egg I had, but his condition was that I first hatch it to a hatchling. So I did, then contacted him, and he didn't contact me back until the hatchling had dropped down in time. Personally, I think it's kind of like cheating, since it means less work for the final owner and they can get dragons faster. Not saying you do that. xp You aren't trading for emergency's.

No, im not, but I was trying to get a male from there. I have aproxx 22 dragons, and out of those, I have 4 males. Two of those are magi, and one is a baby black, the other is a grey dragon. So, I dont really have that good of a breeding (im trying to be able to breed every dragon) but for that, I need at least a male and a female of every species. I now have about 5 autumn dragon eggs. I didnt mean to have that many, but I clicked on every one I saw, and got 5 of them!

I have two grown ones, and two bred ones (from those that grew in my care), plus have snatched up maybe half a dozen to pass on to friends with slower connections and less time to camp on the site. The only problem with the autumn dragons is that after the seasonals leave again, they'll be useless as far as breeding goes, so I don't even consider them in the 'running' for long term breeding.

Useless? I thought that they will breed winter dragons. My first season was from a summer dragon, ad she is an autumn.

There is a system forthcoming that will allow you contact--or at least see--the owner of your eggs, if they choose to allow it. However, there are reasons not to mess with it:
1) They might not want your help 1a) maybe they're in the middle of neglected experiments 1b) maybe they resent the idea that you think they can't do it themselves 1c) maybe they want to keep it an egg or hatchling a little while longer, so they can trade it or gift it to someone else
2) Just because you want it to live doesn't mean you can raise it for them 2a) you can make it hatch, but that doesn't mean the new owner will give it the attention needed for it to grow up 2b) you can make it grow up, but that doesn't mean it'll ever have a name 2c) you can do anything you want, but the new owner can still kill it or name it something absolutely horrible... or release it to the wilderness, once that feature is up
I know it can be hard to see your babies die in someone else's hands, but the facts remain. If people want help, it's easy to find. If they don't care, then they just don't care.

After the autumns leave and before the winters come they won't be able to breed and produce eggs. Not how it works. The winters arrived last night at midnight, the solstice, and every seasonal egg bred since then has been a winter. One minute before the switch, seasonal eggs were still autumn.
