The story is that Ilythiiri runs off into the Underdark, and used her magic to poison a member of the clan, Zephyr, in order to escape. The entrance down into the underdark -a subterranean system of tunnels and caverns- from Edoc'sil collapses behind Ilia, barring entrance from there.
If ilia had simply just ran away, then Edoc'sil would respect her choice and allow her to go to where she thinks she belongs. But she leaves a member of the clan poisoned, and they need her to cure him. They need to find Ilia to find out how.
Edoc'sil asks for the help of other clans to find other entrances to the underdark, and find Ilia.
---
Alright, the mechanics will work like this. Each person will enter from a different entrance to this area of the underdark. I will do some RNG stuff to determine who enters from where. I will have a map, but the map will be mostly blank, and will uncover itself as everyone explores it.
Each person will assign D&D ability scores and skills. (I'll explain later down)
As you explore the underdark, you will come across obstacles. It might be something to jump across, or climb, or a hidden entrance to find. You will tell me how you want to tackle the obstacle. Don't be afraid of being inventive. When you have chosen a course of action, roll one 20 sided die. (Gaia's dice-rolling isn't working, so you might have to trust me with the rolling). Each obstacle will have a Difficulty class, which is a number you have to get higher than to succeed. Whatever number you roll, you also add a skill bonus to, depending on what you do.
Whenever you make a successful check (you beat the difficulty class) you gain a point, and lose two if you fail a check. You'll gain two points if you beat the obstacle in a way I don't anticipate. Certain obstacles will require you to retry them if you fail, and will prevent you from moving forward. these will only cost one point for a failed check. (You always have the option of walking away from them and finding another way)
In the end, the first person to reach Ilythiiri somewhere on the map (AKA, the person who reaches her with the least amount of Checks made) and convinces her to come back to Edoc'sil wins. (Prize pending) I will also find a prize for someone with the most amount of points at the end, and one for best role-playing.
I know this is confusing, but please bear with me sweatdrop
I'll put info about ability scores and skill training in the next post.

Ability scores
You have 6 ability scores. Strength, Constitution, Dexterity, intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma.
You need to assign a bonus to each score. You can assign a +3 bonus to one ability score that you have not already added an bonus for +2 bonus to one ability score that you have not already added an bonus for +1 bonus to two ability scores that you have not already added an bonus for +1 bonus to any two ability scores, even if they already have a bonus
These ability score bonuses will be added to your skills. Your skills are what will help your checks at obstacles.
Skills Here are the skills, the ability score they get a bonus from, and what you can do with them. You can also choose training in five skills. training in a skill means you get a +5 bonus to those checks.
Acrobatics (Add Dexterity bonus) You can do stunts, balance on something, and prevent damage when you fall, and anything else you think would involve acrobatics. You will have to use this a lot during the adventure.
Arcana (Add Intelligence Bonus) Allows you to understand how magic works, and use it.
Athletics (Add Strength Bonus) Climbing, jumping, swimming, and other things involving physical fitness. this will also be a very important skill during the adventure.
Bluff (Add charisma Bonus) How good are you at lying? Not much use in the underdark, but it may help to persuade Ilia to come back. watch out though, if she finds out you were lying...
Diplomacy (Add Charisma Bonus) Negotiations. Also helpful for persuading Ilia.
Dungeoneering (Add Wisdom Bonus) Useful in a variety of underdark exploration challenges. Knowing your way through the tunnels and understanding what is safe and unsafe is defnitely a useful tool.
Endurance (Add Constitution Bonus) It's hard down there. Some endurance will definitely help you survive.
Insight (Add Wisdom Bonus) Empathy. Allows you to understand other's motives and emotions. Will be useful talking with Ilia.
Intimidate (Add Charisma Bonus) Exactly what it says. Cow people into giving in to you. It might be useful against ilia, but I do believe it will be hard to intimidate a dragon.
Perception (Add Wisdom Bonus) To notice clues, detect secret corridors, spot danger, find traps, follow tracks or signs, listen for sound, or locating a hidden object.
I have left out some of the D&D skills, but I don't think thievery or religion will help much in this event ^^ Of course, if you think you will need any of the other skills, you can still train in them, and depending on what you do, I might use them as a skill bonus for your actions.
Heal, History, Nature, Religion, Stealth, Streetwise, Thievery
Example of Ability Scores and Skill set Strength +3 Constitution+1 Dexterity+2 +1 Intelligence Wisdom+1 Charisma+1
Trained in Acrobatics, Athletics, Endurance, Perception, Bluff
Acrobatics: +8 (+5 trained, +3 Dexterity) Arcana: +0 Athletics: +8 (+5 trained, +3 strength) Bluff: +6 (+5 trained, +1 Charisma) Diplomacy: +1 (+1 Charisma) Dungeoneering: +1 (+1 Wisdom) Endurance: +6 (+5 trained, +1 Constitution) Insight: +1 (+1 Wisdom) Intimidate: +1 (+1 Charisma) Perception: +6 (+5 trained, +1 Wisdom)

I'd prefer to make a different thread for each person, but it depends on how many people there is. If we end up with only two or three, than one thread should be good enough. but anything more, and I'll have to set up a separate thread for each person.
When you reach Ilythiiri, we freeze your role-play until everyone has reached her. And then the person with the least amount of Checks tries to convince her first. if that person fails, then the person with the next smallest amount of checks tries, and it continues until someone manages to convince her to come back. I doubt that we'll have too much hard time convincing her, but if everyone fails to convince her, then we'll just go through everyone again.
To persuade Ilia to come back, you have to go through a series of skill checks against her, using Bluff, diplomacy, Insight, or anything else you can think of. She will be persuaded when you achieve 4 successful checks, and you will fail the encounter if you get 2 failed checks first.
You can send any combination of Kyns or riders into the event, but they must stick together. No sending five kyns to explore different tunnels. the underdark is dangerous, it's not a good idea to be alone. Members of Edoc'sil will tag along with groups if they request some help. The number and members of your group shouldn't change anything but role-play though. DCs will remain the same.

Here's a sample of how it might go. People will actually role-play this out though, I'm just zipping through this XP
Example
Cherry_Chain You continue down the hallway, and stop at a door. You try for the handle, and find it locked. what do you do?
Participant I will try to pick the lock. *rolls a 14*
Cherry_Chain DC for a thievery check was 15. You rolled a 14, with a +7 skill bonus to thievery. Your check total was 21, which is higher than the DC. You succeed in picking the lock, and the door swings open. You have gained one point.
You find yourself in a large room. There is a door opposite you, and a staircase going up on the left of the room. Where do you go?
Participant I will go to the door.
Cherry_Chain This door is also locked.
Participant I think I will try to break the door down. *Rolls a 3*
Cherry_Chain Dc for an athlectics check is 20. You have rolled a 3, and your skill bonus is +3. Your total is 6, which is lower than the DC. The door doesn't budge. You lose a point. Would you like to try again?
Participant Nah, I'll go up the staircase

Kyn-wise? Any kyns that would look like they belong in the underdark I guess 3nodding So dark colours and red eyes.
And items? I was planning to go and buy some Gaia Dark elf items, but if you can also make an item for the cert, a glowing pebble will work, because everyone would need some sort of light source when they go down there ^^ Eclipse is going to enchant one for everyone.[/ranting ]

Poke's made two glowy-lichen Kyn for the event, which are awesome. I can also do a black rock cave for a special cert if you're interested. It'll also likely be released in the Kyn Coin shop.
