The youthful group is mostly filled with unknowns who are likely to be household names by the time Paramount opens the first in its potential three-film franchise in July 2010. Why him!?! Besides, they could just use the original Zuko. I mean, he's an actor and appeared in "Take The Lead" So he knows how to act, why do they have to look up an actor for him? Doesn't make sense.

I have to agree on the casting of Zuko. His voice actor is a normal actor as well. He can keep his part. Plus...he kind of already looks like Zuko. A bit on the tan side, but they need to put on makeup to give him the scar anyway.
I approve of the Sokka pick though. That guy is pretty funny. I saw him in a few of the Twilight interviews and he's just adorable. I think he'd be a cute Sokka. Not sure if he'll do all the craziness, but with Sokka, it's hard to imagine ANYONE being that odd in real life.

You should see Jackson play a stoner. It is hilarious, in my opinion.
As for Dante/Zuko...I've thought about that a few times. It makes sense. Same voice, he's got a pretty good look about him and the like. All in all not bad. Rufio for the win.
Though he is a bit too old xDDD (born in 1975) But hey, stage makeup.
And I know people would b***h about him being Filipino. Though it is better than Jesse....

Doesn't make sense. You fail for using that semi-shitty movie as your only example. Dante is a damn good actor. @Michiru- Firebenders were actually based on the Filipinos. Just as the Waterbenders were based on the Native Americans, and the Airbenders were based on the Chinese/Tibetans. Everyone he's picked is bad. Except Noah Ringer, he might actually do a good job. I saw a pic of him a while back, and he's a small asian kid. So it's all good.

Jesse McCartney as Zuko!?! Ok that's epic fail. Way to kill the project right there. What's next? Is Miley Cyrus going to play Azula?

Don't even joke of these things.
And I suppose in his own way Jesse could be....decent?
Plus, it says negotiating. That doesn't mean anything.
