...what race would you be, and what time period would you live in?
(I hope this isn't a repeat, and it is different from the Where in Middle Earth Would You Live Thread)

'Kay, well, I'd probably be a human, just because elves are supposedly graceful and very calm, serious folks. I'm the complete opposite. I don't eat enough to be a hobbit (and thank the valar I'm too tall to be a hobbit, even a Merry/Pippin-sized one). Humans don't have to worry about insanely long life spans or racial hostilities (elves vs. dwarves), but can still make a mark in the history of MI.
And as for time period, probably in the middle of the Third Age. It was peaceful at the beginning, but then evil was slowly creeping back in. Personally I would find it so interesting to live in a period like that, and be wondering what was going on.

I'd probably be an elf of some sort. Just think of all the time you have to think and improve everything. I wouldn't want to live in a large city like gondolin or anything. Maybe a wood elf?

I'd be a Maia. It'd be fun. I think I'd like to live during the first age, too. I'll add more later, I can't think right now. wink

Judging by my personality, hobbies, and likes and dislikes, I would most certainly be a Hobbit. I love my home, love cooking/baking, and prefer simpler life to lots of technology. Plus, I am not very tall. sweatdrop

I would love to be a Rohirrim, but the truth is, I'd be a Hobbit in the Third and Fourth Ages.

I don't know what race I would be, all I know is that I would be married to Aiwendil. And he would cook me yummy breakfasts. It would probably be easiest if I was a maia, then. I don't know how many of you have ever watched the scifi series Stargate SG1, but I would probably look like a Nox. Branches and leaves in my hair, yay! Hmmm...maybe I'll go find a picture.

I'd be an elf, most likely from either the 1st or 2nd age.... they always seemed somewhat peaceful aside from the battles here and there. And living forever would be cool! You could do anything in life... and perfect it. And when you perfected one thing you could do another! Endless possibilities! smile

I'd be one of the first born and I'd live in the first age.

I'd be an elf just because you'd have to be a pretty special human to live in Rivendell which is where I would love to dwell. Lithwen and I had many a discussion about this. I'd live in Imladris during the entire existance of it.

One of the main reasons I'd love to be in Rivendell, or Imladris rather, is because of the library and the art and serenity of the place. There was a thread about this somewhere else, either in the subforum or here a while back and I had a huge paragraph about this lol.
