ITS SO COOOLLDDD! and I dropped my flute. So, I couldn't play anyway, but I still marched. And I couldn't quite feel my fingers, but I guess that was a little better that them hurting before that. And one of the guard girls stopped to pick up candy... So, what are your thougths on Christmas parades?

I don't know yet, mine is tomorrow biggrin I'm really looking forward to it though. And afterwords, we have a party of sorts, so that is exciting, too.

our christmas parade was unusually warm and I was really sweaty by the time it was over. we also got new drums that put a lot of strain on my neck so that sucked. Not a huge fan of christmas parades.

from ur post, i bet u a million dollars my fingers r gonna freeze to death and then like 20 min after the parade started, im probably gonna stop playing. lol rofl

Y'know.... I do too.
It's like half a mile of Hell!
We have to march so slow and my arm starts hurting real bad (I think I was having a heart attack, because my right arm was hurting real bad and my left arm, holding a friggin baritone was perfectly fine).
And my shoulders locked up so my horn was facing down.
It hurt so bad getting myself back upright.

Yay, I was in my first ever christmas parade ^_^
It was okay.
It was like 50 degrees, but really sunny, and so with our black/maroon uniforms, it was pretty hot.
My arms hurt, the sun was in my eyes the whole time, it was like 3 miles, and when we finished we had to walk like 1/3 mile to a nearby high school so we could park the trailer and put our uniforms back on the uniform racks.
But I had fun.

Aw, you get xmas parades? We just get concerts, which ours was last night. You dropped your flute ._. that is outragious! And of course colorguard doesn't really care about the band, they are just there to look pretty. So stepping out of the parade block doesn't phase them...expecially when candy is involved....was this chick blond?

we dont do them any more, thank god. but for my first two years we would do the Reading Holiday Parade.

I hate parades. And thank God my band director does too. So we don't go to the Christmas parade. But we still have homecoming and veteran's day parades...I usually fake sick. sweatdrop
