Ah. Medius Park.
As far as a certain female Lepus was concerned, this was the best place for a nice relaxing day apart from training and work. The air was nice and clean, light breezes rustling everything green in nature from the tall forest trees to the grassy fields. The lakes rippled with the wind, and occasionally by the pebbles tossed in for fun by other Darumas. There were plenty of them here, running, playing, jumping, sleeping - whatever form of action anyone could think of.
Overhead, cargo ships sped back and forth, loading and unloading in designated docks, from which, a rather petit Daruma stepped forward lightly. Her long ears twitched slightly, taking in every sound around her. Aizea, the Lepus, took a deep breath, a broad smile replacing her bright visage, and gracefully (not to mention eagerly) headed down to her favorite meadow in the park for the beginning of a -hopefully- relaxing day.

Haeme had finally gotten a well deserved break after the escapades he was involved with during his last two outings to Nundinae. Allowed to keep whatever was leftover from his errands, Haeme did a tally and realised he didn't have much left. Sighing lightly, Haeme decided that he should head over to Medius Park for an early morning breath of fresh air.
Making his way to the park, Haeme noticed that the sky was abuzz with activity, passenger and cargo ships hovering and moving around. Omnigenus was certainly the capital city, one that never sleeps.
The walk to the park was a short one. Greeting him at the end of his journey were sprawling fields, thick forests and pristine lakes. It had always intrigued Haeme how they managed to fit all of these beautiful flora and fauna in the middle of the Capital - today was no exception.
Stunned by the beauty, Haeme sat on a nearby rock to relax a little before venturing further into the park.

Now, Aizea was one of many who aspired to be the future champion in the... art of Engaging. She trained herself subconsciously, using her speed and agility to her utmost advantage. Being on the small side also helped immensely as weight became not much of a problem at all. Often times, she ran to her destination without stopping, dodging and avoiding obstacles (i.e. other Darumas) along the way and building her stamina. Though it happened very few times, the Lepus would be unlucky enough to actually run head-on into someone once her concentration had been averted even for a millisecond.
Sadly, today was one of those days.
Amidst the blundering crowds, Aizea carefully and quickly threaded her way in and out among the groups until she could see the gleaming meadows and water ahead. Her focus momentarily captivated by the scenery, she hadn't see that one dark-hued Canis amble along into her path until - OOF.
She crashed straight into him, the momentum of her speed toppling the two over onto the ground. The Lepus continued to roll over and over as her velocity decreased and ended up kind of lop-sided on the field. Oh, how embarrassing!
Aizea straightened up, swaying at the overwhelming dizziness and albeit clumsily made her way back to the untimely stranger. "I-I'm terribly sorry sir," she winced at her aching head. "Are you alright?"

The morning is such a wondrous time of the day, how enjoya- "AHH!" screamed Haeme, jolted out of his thoughts by a sudden collision. He had expected to be safe from any form of fast moving vehicles and people since he had been sitting on a rock far from any roads and running paths. Tumbling and rolling a few feet from the rock, Haeme felt a little dizzy and pain from being hit.
Quickly regaining his composure and standing back on his feet, Haeme chided his 'assailant' saying "You should really watch where you're going!" Dusting off the dirt from his body, Haeme looked up to meet the female Lepus face to face. Her beautiful radiant coat seemed to have caught his attention as he stared at her almost luminescent coating.
Looking all over, Haeme found no form of physical injury and shook his head. "I'm fine, but you should really watch where you're going. Imagine if I was some senior citizen, the effects of that collision would be disastrous!" replied Haeme as he mentally played out a scene to visualise the collision.

Aizea smiled sheepishly, her headache disappearing as quickly as it had come. That was good to know - the fact that he wasn't hurt. She had been thoroughly worried about the victim that she hadn't even noticed his staring. She suppressed the urge to giggle at his warning, and instead, nodded as solemnly as she could in the situation.
"You're right sir, I should have been paying attention," Aizea frowned, waving her tail back and forth.
She studied the elegant form of the male before her - though was slightly surprised to see the color of blood on him. Surely he'd said that he was alright. The female hadn't done any harm or injury to him; she was much too light in physique to draw blood. Against her will - and for the sake of politeness - Aizea averted her vibrant orange eyes from the Canis.
"My name is Aizea," she hesitated. "May I ask for your name sir?"

Haeme's eyes traced the waving movement of her tail as she explained herself. He had a habit of observing moving objects, especially those that followed periodic movement. Nodding as Aizea confessed that she hadn't been paying attention, Haeme commented "Its good that you admit that you haven't been paying attention."
Sitting on the soft cushiony grass, Haeme was thankful that this didn't happen by the lakeside or the rockier grounds further in the park. The soft grass helped cushion the fall and didn't cause much hurt at all. Carefully observing the Lepus, Haeme noticed that she was rather light looking and had a good and clean form - one of an Engager. No wonder she didn't hurt me, unlike those burly Tigris at the cargo docks.
Seeing that Aizea offered her name, Haeme politely nodded and extended his hand for a proper handshake and greeting. Announcing his name, Haeme said "My name is Haeme, a pleasure to meet you Aizea. Although the circumstances surrounding our meeting is not that ideal."
Motioning towards the interior of the Medius Park, Haeme added "I presume you aren't here to enjoy a quiet and peaceful walk."

The female Lepus returned the handshake, a pleased smile accentuating her lips as she took in his name. Aizea straightened up, about to take leave of the meadow until her sensitive hearing had caught Haeme's statement. Her ears twitched very slightly, and she turned back towards him with glowing orange and green eyes. She gazed at the Canis rather expectantly, waiting for him to continue but when he did not, chose to reply.
"Oh? Then what else do you presume about my visit to the park?" She chuckled quietly, indicating a cheerful tone in her question. "As far as I can tell, that's pretty much all you can do here."
Perhaps he was an engager? Surely not. Aizea studied the male critically - aside from being the charismatic sort his kind was, she could not tell if Haeme indeed took part in engaging. A little puzzled, she stepped back away from him - curious as to what he thought someone like her was doing here.

Taking another good look at Aizea, Haeme theorised that she probably did regular exercise or Engaged often to keep fit. Deciding that she was probably heading to the park for exercise, Haeme replied confidently "Well, I think you're heading there for a jog or a run. The park is quite good for that too, besides the fresh air is a most welcome boon."
Haeme had noticed the sly little glances Aizea kept throwing him, thinking that she was assessing him. Is she sizing me up as an opponent? contemplated Haeme. Looking towards the lake, Haeme noticed that the gazebo by the lake was unoccupied. Inviting Aizea to join him at the gazebo, Haeme offered "Would you like to join me for a short rest in the gazebo over there? The view is unparalleled!"

Considering Haeme's self-assuring answer, Aizea tilted her head, surprised at such a thought. Honestly, she hadn't even considered training in the park. Her best intentions were simply to take a rest and revel in the glimmering scenery. She had never once given a thought to exercising here. But in actuality, it was not a bad idea. Not a bad idea at all. And she told him so.
Aizea's broad smile returned as he requested that she join him at the gazebo. "Sure, I'd love that, thanks," she leaped gracefully forward, maintaining perfect balance on the toes of her feet and twirled around in wait for the Canis.
It would be her first time to the gazebo as she had never taken the time to evaluate the entire area. In fact, the Lepus usually only stayed in one part of Medius Park - the part near the edge of the huge lake where she often basked in the sun peacefully. Evidently, she was quite excited.
"Well, come on," Aizea laughed. "Lead the way Haeme!"

Smiling courteously, Haeme informed Aizea that there were actually groups of Darumas that frequently use the park as a place to exercise. Jogging, canoeing, yoga and even a game of football. While he hadn't done much in the park besides jogging and relaxing, Haeme was able to get a fair bit of the park covered and knew it rather well.
Leading the way towards the gazebo, Haeme started to talk about the park, mentioning particular places of interest. "Medius Park really has diverse landscapes. The edges are normally bounded by meadows and grassy plains. The inner areas are either lakes, rocky terrain or heavily forested. There are some other interesting lakes besides this, but I really love this lake a lot." Almost as if he were an educational video, Haeme started to ramble on about the plants and animals you could see in the park and before long, they reached the gazebo.
From afar, the gazebo looked unassuming and not at all grand. In close proximity, one could see the ornate carvings in the pre-treated wooden frame. Thorny vines grew and twined over the roof, creating splash of green on the whitewashed gazebo. Inside, the seats were regularly changed and cleaned to ensure that anyone would be comfortable seating in the gazebo.
Leading the way, Haeme gestured for Aizea to enter the gazebo first and take a seat. He said "Ladies first!", in a gentlemanly bow.

Aizea listened to Haeme describe the wondrous park, making note to come visiting more often. Why oh why hadn't she ever gone exploring into the depths of the park? It made no sense to her, but now took the opportunity to survey the scenery without hesitation.
She followed the Canis all the way to the Gazebo, careful not to gawk at the intricate designs. It was heavenly. She mentally chided herself for wasting the past months away from this little comely place. Turning to look at her companion with an eager expression, Aizea graciously accepted his gentlemen-like invitation and stepped into the gazebo with her light feet.
No strange creaking or squeaking emanated from the wooden floor and she immediately relaxed her footing. Aizea hurried to the other side past the seats and excitedly looked out over the landscape. "It's gorgeous!" she exclaimed, glancing over her shoulder to Haeme.

Haeme smiled and gazed out towards the lake. The lake was almost symmetrical, rare for a natural formation, and it struck a chord in his heart. Haeme had a soft spot for symmetrical things and always reveled in the beauty of them. Absentmindedly mentioning, Haeme said "This is the only almost symmetrical lake in the park, the rest have funny shapes.", his voice trailing off.
Stepping into the gazebo, Haeme rested on the seat fixtures and told Aizea "You should really walk around the park and observe the surroundings, they are really awesome, especially for relaxing." Haeme would have wanted to show Aizea some of the more scenic spots, but he had to consider that she might not be free.
