Hmm, I claim first post.
Anyway, I am not much of Lolita dresser at the moment, though I hope to be.
Kodona. Or maybe the older more sophisticated version of it...
Anyway:
Discuss Lolita fashion, male or female. I see the Steampunk also named here.
FASCINATING fashion, designs.
I've always enjoyed it thoroughly...
Maybe post pix of that? /irradiate

I-onishi ~Image~ ~Image~ Me in the loli outfit I made. Oh, I really like that outfit. biggrin I intend to sew a few lolita jumperskirts when I have time. You have done a very lovely job though. biggrin The pattern is lovely as well, would it happen to have a bustle back? I see something there that looks as if it is.

I-onishi - That does look really good, honestly. I might have to show it to someone as inspiration.
Honestly, since my camera doesn't work (and I'm out of flash powder...) I won't be able to show anything I've made or been working on yet. *shrugs* Wish I could right now~

I chose steampunk, but I can't say the question is fair. Each style has a huge variety of looks. In general, I like the brass, gold, brown, and other colors of steampunk. To add to that, I don't wear dresses (as I am a guy that does not feel inclined to do so) and lolita is fashioned more toward girls than guys. Male clothing (correct me if I'm wrong, this is as far as I've seen) in lolita fashion seems to be just Victorian and Rococo style clothing in general. Lolita often times seems to be just adult sized children wear from those periods as well.
I would love to see some examples, as lolita style fashion (while less obscure than steampunk) is seen just as much (which is almost never). I have literally only seen lolita style clothing once in person in my life. I actually never have seen steampunk (although I may be able to make my own with a few more materials.
Sorry... it seems I slipped a bit off topic.
Edit: Also, I noticed I am showing my biased a bit toward steampunk... sorry.

I love both lolita and steampunk. Half of my life seems to be split between the Official Steampunk Thread and the Official Lolita Thread in the Fashion & Style subforum.
I have yet to get steamy items, but I've got some loli ones. I love the frills. :'D

I am really having a hard time picking between the two, actually. I've considered making a steampunk lolita outfit, and while I have a few pieces of it, it's not near done yet. If it ever does get done, this forum will be the first to know about it. Also, on the topic of steampunk, has anyone not seen this site? http://steampunkworkshop.com/ It doesn't have much fashion at all, but it centers around this one brilliant fellow (and some other very talented artisans) who modifies various objects (I am in love with the computers, I really am) to make them functional and absolutely gorgeous fantasy-Victorian elements.

I prefer Lolita over Steampunk because you can only do so much with Steampunk but you have more varity of colors, styles, and patterns with Lolita.
I've been a Lolita for two years now and I only have one Steampunk outfit. The skirt and blouse were from the Ren Fest I went to and the corset is from Scoundrelle's Keep (Heather is quite lovely and a very very sweet. I highly recommend corsets from her as well as Steampunk clothing).
Anyway, I wear lolita often but since it's winter here in Minnesota, I've reverted back to my EGL stuff since it's longer skirts and long sleeves lol.

Ah, yes I see now my question was rather unfair.
I had never thought of a mix...
Interesting, if anyone has done this, would you show me?
I'm quite interested! (๑ºܫº) /irradiate

I guess I never really said which of the two I like , the answer is both . Unfortunatley I am a fan of so many things clothing wise that I have only a few outfits finished and many many more that are half done or in the begginging stages.

Of course! :'D
The only thing I can't nail down are a pair of goggles. I had some in mind, but by the time I had the money, the store had discontinued them. D:
