Hi everyone. sorry I have so thoroughly ditched out on MR, but I have been outrageously busy. I have been going through a lot of changes and I have been reading and writing a lot. Elections were yesterday, and that has taken up a very large amount of my time as well. ( I am elated!!!! our party won!!!! we are majority house, senate and have a wonderful new elect!!!!) I will not say any more about that as I do not want to hurt the feelings of any republicans that might be here, so sorry if I offend.
Also, I have just broken up with my live in boyfriend and will be rather consumed with trying to find a new apartment in the next month or so. (I am hoping that it will take no longer than that, but it may unfortunately take a while to find a place so I can get the hell out of here)
I am very glad that this has finally happened, as it has been something that I needed to do for myself for a very long time.
well, till later

Psh, my party never wins elections. Damn Communist Party leaders, always splitting off from the party and forming their own sects...

i was under the impression that there was no communist party of america, merely a socialist party? and anyways, perhaps its not the fact that they split off and such, perhaps it's the fact that in many states only the main two parties, and perhaps one or two other candidates, appear on the ballot, and a fair percentage of those states don't allow write-ins. for example - in maine you only have R, D, I, and G. in oklahoma, you have ONLY R and D, and you can't write in.

good choice, although bob barr was not a particularly good choice on the part of the libertarian party. historically, barr has been more of a bush-drone than a libertarian, and only suddenly had a change of heart in the last few years. i trust his sincerity less than i do of most other politicians.

Yeah, but he was still better then Obama or McCain.

I didn't vote at all.

i really, truly believe he was far too close to mccain to be called "better." like hollow, i exercised my right to abstain from this election. neither of the major parties represented my interests, nor did they present a candidate i felt i could support. the two 3rd parties that at least come close to my views (the libertarian party and the constitution party) both put forth candidates who i could not trust. i could not, in good faith, give my vote to anyone who was running, and so, rather than lose my integrity and vote for the sake of voting or because it was some "civic duty," i decided to hold my vote until a time when there is a candidate i can support. hopefully that will occur with the next election.

thanks guys smile
I am not leaving the town I live in or anything, but things have been pretty Amazing lately. although I do feel as though I in some ways wasted a year of my life, I also feel as though I am finally waking up again. you guys may not understand what I am trying to say, but I always feel as though my life is moving towards some beginning I have not found yet. I have always felt as though I am preparing for something, and sometimes I stall, and loose whatever it is I am following. It is strangely a feeling of depersonalization. There is this entire world that is me, that rarely does anyone else even come close to seeing, but is the very essence of what I am and when loose that I am totally lost. I see nothing around me and forget why I look up at the stars and why I cry when I stare out at the sea. the wonderful thing that is happening now is that I have stopped stagnating, so to speak.
a lot has happened to spur this, but long story short, I feel wonderful. (though still rather pissed at Mobius)

Hope everything works out for you Lo-Lo.

As for the vote I share the same view I did not like the two main candidates myself...although I did not vote because I didn't want it was because I forgot to regitster sweatdrop

I just hope the new elect does not destroy this country....well it is our responsibility to not allow him not too. This is the government for the people...or supposed to be.
