PrincessOfTheRose Belle

PostPosted: Sun Oct 26, 2008 10:33 am

Hi, I'm PrincessOfTheRose Belle. I'm new to this guild. And, I deust to watch Beauty and the Beast all the time when I was little, and its still my favorite Disney movie now. I actually grew up with Disney movies. But I actually grew up with Beauty and the Beast. And I was born in the excat same year when Beauty and the Beast came out. In this thread, you may talk about the movie, what are your likes and dislikes about the movie, what are your favorite character's, favorite song, favorite scene, favorite quote, and you can also say your dislikes a certain scene, dislike quote, and what do you dislike about that character, etc. So, your basically just saying your thoughts/opinions/points of views of the movie. And now, here's the story of Beauty and the Beast.

The most beautiful love story ever told like you never seen it before.

Prince Adam was cursed to a beast form by Enchantress who saw no love in his arrogant heart for others. The one way he could break the spell was to learn to love another and earn her love in return before the last petal from his enchanted rose fell, which would bloom until his twenty-first birthday. But who could ever learn to love a beast? Ten years later, Maurice, an inventor from a nearby village, becomes lost in the woods and seeks shelter in the Beast's castle, the Beast imprisons him for trespassing. His daughter Belle, a bookworm who dreams of life outside her provincial village, finds him trapped in the castle and offers her place in his stead. The Beast accepts with a promise she'll remain in the castle forever. In the beginning Belle views him as nothing more than a monster, he views her as difficult and stubborn. But the two soon taste the bitter-sweetness of finding you can change and learning you were wrong.

What do you mean by "Vault" excatly?... I watched the movie once I think this summer. And, I might watch the movie on my birthday this year. Here's the 1st question of the day or week:

Who is your favorite character in the movie?
Mine would have to be of course Belle. Because I like the way she is. She's maybe different from other crowds, and although her looks is attractive to stupid men, but she is really a good person. Who has a good personality. And that's the reason why I like Belle. biggrin wink

The vault is where they keep the Disney movies, they hold them there for a certain amount of years before putting them back out to be bought on DVD and stuff like that....

Anyway... Favorite character... I'd have to say.... The Beast. Because of how much he changes, he proves that people can change, by becoming a 'good guy' with a good heart who truly loves Belle for who she is. It takes a while for him to change, but once he does, he becomes one of the best people in the movie.

Disney has what they call "The Disney Vault". They only let a few titles out for sale at a time. Right now you can find Little Mermaid, 101 Dalmatians, Jungle Book, Sleeping Beauty Etc.

But Titles like Lion King, Snow White, Bambi, and Beauty and the Beast, might not be let out for sale for a couple years.

It's Disney's way of getting you to Buy their Movie's Fast. Parents want to buy the Movies for their kids before they cant find it anymore. It's also a way to keep their prices higher.

My Fav. Character is the Beast. I'm a big Big sucker for the beast ^.^ *Sigh*

Thanks for telling me what a "Vault" means. biggrin I agree with you both. Beast would have to be my 2nd favorite character. Even though he was a bad guy at first, Belle came along and changed his life forever. Belle actually changed him to become a better person, who had a good kind tender heart all along. biggrin Great point Nick_Teressa. Next question:

Who is your least favorite character?
Mine would have to be Gaston. Because he's inconsidereate, concited, etc. But, there's maybe a couple of things that I saw in Gaston. Even though Belle reget him, he feels mad and sad that Belle reget him. And, Gaston was jelous of the Beast because the Beast was in love with Belle. So he probably thought this: "Why would Belle choose Beast? What does Belle see in him?" So technically, Gaston was a jelous type of guy, but a jerk. stare

I agree.... Gaston is definitely the least likable character. I really don't like the way that he was so full of himself. Man.... can't seem to think of anything else to add at the moment.

Best. Movie. Ever! heart

As for the least likable character... I always tend to choose the three blonde bimbos. Because Gaston has the unique ability to make me laugh aloud every time he opens his mouth. I know good and well I would despise this person if I knew one in real life, but in fantasy (or at least my version) he's a riot.

And just to allude back to the favorites... though I will forever love Belle (I almost had to be her recently... *hides*) and the Beast (who doesn't love a secretly sweet monster?), my favorite characters always tend to be Lumiere and Cogsworth. I love the comedy.

You almost had to be her? I think I would rather be Belle than Glinda (*had to be Glinda in school for Drama class*) I didn't care for the part.... Didn't help that at the time I was reading Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West. >>;;

Lol, yeah. I worked at Disney this summer and since I know a few of the people working there they were trying to sneakily slide me into casting for characters. I barely escaped with my life and a horrible restaurant job. I'm just not right for kitchens. sweatdrop Ooh... I've been wanting to read Wicked for ages. *stars in eyes* But thing keep preventing me..! *shakes fist at the sky*

Okay. Next question.

What is your favorite scene from the movie?
I kind of like all of the scenes. But my favorite scene in the movie is when you see that there's something more between Belle and the Beast. That would be my favorite scene from the movie. Oh, and... Happy late Halloween! :lol>

My favorite scene is where they're singing 'Something There' ^^;
PostPosted: Sat Nov 01, 2008 3:16 pm

That's also my favorite scene. Now next question:

What is your favorite quote?
Mine is on my sig. But that's not fully all of it. Here's the full one.

Beast: You - You came back.
Belle: Of course I came back. I couldn't let them... Oh, this is all my fault. If only I'd gotten here sooner.
Beast: Maybe... it's better - it's better this way.
Belle: Don't talk like that. You'll be all right. We're together now. Everything's going to be fine, you'll see.
Beast: At-at least... I got to see you... one last time.

Favorite Scene: Belle's first night in the castle and the Beast's disasterous atempt to get her to come down to dinner.

Favorite Lines: (There are several... sweatdrop )

Cogsworth: Enchanted? Ha-ha ha-ha! Who said anything about the castle being enchanted? Ha-ha-ha... it was YOU, wasn't it?!

Belle: Gaston, you are positivly primeval
Gaston: Thank you!

Gaston: It's not right for a woman to read. Soon she starts getting *ideas*, and *thinking*...
((Gaston, you're such a pig. *laughs as he falls off the castle*))

Beast: I let her go.
Cogsworth: Yes, yes, splen - You... what? How could you do that?
Beast: I had to.
Cogsworth: Yes, but, but, but... but... why?
Beast: Because... I love her.
