I think the players' activity is probably my biggest gripe about this round. What have you got to say, Advice Dog? ...Ah, well. I guess it can't be helped then.

I've got a quick question. Was this the version of mafia where the mafia goons know who the other goons are or not? Because I've played versions where they do and where they don't. Never though to ask =/

All the Mafians knew who their scumbuddies were. (Which is another reason I have to commend Maxi on awesome Mafian playing.)

Day-by-Day Analysis!
Day 1: After the random voting phase (which was longer than it should have been), town lynches l337 based on his username, of all things. The sad thing is that l337's first vote was actually a good one, too, and had he been given a chance to investigate and reveal Aramatsu as scum, the game could have gone in a very different direction.
Voting and Plays: Red begins the bandwagon, giving no reason. Orphen, who was being voted for not posting, jumps on. l337 comes up with a good idea: Since PMs aren't trackable, the opportunity to form an information network would have been great. Red's next post states the obvious danger, but all players should know that. Part of the game is deciding who to trust, and if PMs with multiple people aren't enough to help thin things out, then I don't know what is. Spellbound jumps bandwagons to l337, stating that she is "a follower." Maxi and Aramatsu take the easy lynch, with a no-reason-given vote by Tsuki between them, and Dias takes the easy hammer.
Night 1:My sister came in with the most obvious advice possible, but no one seemed to notice. l337 goes to chill with Jeebus upstairs, and chill they shall. Deco posts saying that "everyone just followed," and Maxi teases l337 a little. Red shows her real reason for the lynch, and Spellbound apologises. Night ends with no kills... But no one in the thread knew what was going on behind the scenes!
Night 1 Actions: Triox, who had the Unaligned Serial Killer role, PMs me with the decision to kill Aramatsu! However, Deco PMs me witht he decision to save Aramatsu, keeping the Hollow alive until his victory. Deco and Triox did it for the same reason: They both saw him as a good player. Triox tried to kill him off since he saw Ara as a threat, while Deco tried to save him so he could keep contributing. However, Ara was so convincing Day 1 that he was even better than Deco could have known. It was an honest error, though... I probably would have done the same. (Triox's night activity stops here, perhaps because his kill didn't go through...)
Mafian Actions: I got PMs from Ara and Maxi asking about why there was no Mafian kill. It turns out that Hollow-Ichigo-San didn't fully understand his role of sending the kill PM to me, so I worked out a system for the Mafians to send me a kill request if Hollow was unable to. (According to Maxi, they had agreed to kill Tsuki Ododri. I don't think the game would have changed radically like the last two plays if it had gone through, but it would have made the game a bit easier for them.)
Day 2: Maxi says that the Hollows suck for not killing anyone. Sweet move. Deco teases back. Bittersweet move, since he was protector. He successfully protected, but his target's alignment was not ideal... Red starts a new bandwagon, taking the bait meant for Mafians. l337 phantom-posts with an extremely accurate premonition of what was to come. Maxi takes Deco's bait, but with Red having started the bandwagon, it loses its significance. Ara jumps in for an easy lynch, and Hollow arrives later for a united Hollow vote. Between Ara and Hollow's votes, Tsuki votes for Ara with no reason given, just like the last Day. Spellbound votes for Tsuki based on her sig graphic, and Dias joins her. Metagaming is not cool. Deco tries to counter Red's bandwagon with an OMGUS vote, even stating the fact that his lynch would make town very, very, sad... But it goes unnoticed by all but me, due to an error on my part on vote counting. Nuvuong jumps on Deco's bandwagon, trusting Red. Again, metagaming is not cool. Triox takes the same easy lynch strategy as the Hollows and votes Deco, putting him at L-2. Revlis takes pity on Deco and votes Red, but it seems to be far too late. Nuvuong, giving no specific reason, changes votes from Deco to Ara. Hollow quickly defends. Dias switches from Tsuki to the Deco wagon, wanting to get things moving. (Next time, vote the starter of the wagon to get a real discussion going...) Seeing my advice without me having actually saying it, he changes votes to Red. However, time runs out and Deco is lynched in the end...
Night 2: My sister and I are sad. Very, very sad... Yet somewhat amused. Red talks about how she's used to playing it in RL as a party game, and I try to point her in the right direction of competitive internet Mafia games to no avail. Mafia goes for the Tsuki kill that had been intended for Night 1. In hindsight, since she had not contributed much to discussion and had not given any reason for her votes, this may have actually benefited town...
Day 3: Maxi gets started with the new easy lynch by voting Red, leader of the last 2 unsuccessful bandwagons. Brilliant move, as almost any veteran would suspect her of being a lucky Mafian by now. However, she defends herself, saying that she is a vanilla. Maxi unvotes, which was perhaps an eve more brilliant move: Red declares him to be a proven townie, and everyone believes it! Ara votes Orphen for inactivity. Hollow OMGUS votes Red. Maxi goes for the Usurper Lynch and votes Hollow. This is also a great move, since his flip would further convince players of Maxi's townie alignment, while at the same time giving himself and Ara room to work on their own without the language barrier. Mafia benefits in the end. (Now I wish I had included a Mafian Usurper role, just for Maxi...) Viet votes Red, but it is already too late... Spellbound pointlessly votes for dead Tsuki... With a tie, I was forced to use a Twilight play and randomize the lynch. With a coin lip, Hollow was lynched and revealed to be the Grand Fisher, giving town their first and only real lucky break.
Night 3: Not much going on tonight. Red is killed by Maxi, probably just to keep her random guesses from becoming accurate, since town followed her on every last bandwagon.
Day 4: Spellbound opens with an inactivity vote for Dias. Maxi votes Nuvuong for "shadiness," with no more obvious lynches to go for. Fed up with inactives, I do my job as moderator and "Operation: Moderator Massacre" begins. Dias comes back with an OMGUS vote at Spellbound. Nuvuong hops onto Spellbound's wagon for Dias. Ara votes Nuvuong for a laugh. Viet changes votes to Orphen, but it no longer matters since... I force-kill a total of 4 players: Our unaligned killer and 3 vanillas. This sets back town by giving the remaining Mafians a much easier time of getting lynches arranged. Town lucks out and takes the easy way out with no lynch, which is good since Nuvuong's lynch and the night kill would have ended the game.
Night 4: Red phantom-posts about Nuvuong being townie for the reason of my sparing town. After a mod scolding, the post is deleted. With no obvious kill, Mafia begins cleaning up the spare vanillas and kills Dias.
Day 5: In LyLo, and with absolutely no discussion whatsoever, Spellbound votes Nuvuong. Of course, with only 2 more votes needed, Maxi and Ara secure their victory with another easy lynch.
Whew, I'm tired now... I'll post a player-by player analysis eventually, but let me congratulate our winners first.
Maxi: Your Day 3 play string is why I thought you played exceedingly well. You gave a Townie appearance without coming across as a Mafian trying to look like a Townie. Well done!
Ara: I didn't single you out earlier, but you went and had many great plays as well. I don't know how well you and Maxi coordinated through PM, but you did well on your own as well!

I'm not really sure yet. With the number of inactives that I had to kill, this should be considered another failed experiment of mine, but those of you that really played seemed to enjoy it. I'll have to think on what I can do to make things easier for everyone...

:: Laughs:: I'm the most active, the most deadly, and I recall how hard it is to play this game online.
I'll stick to IRL. Half the point is random guessing, right? Better than being inactive and not guessing at all.

I am afraid I wouldn't understand it, even though I am sure I could remain active enough to keep up... If you do start again, I wil probably get killed for not guessing properly or somethng, but hey... I'm game
