For a short time, he grew up a sheltered life with his mother, father, great grandmother, whom he called grandma and his great grandfather whom he called grandpa. Gene was almost always curious. His father was almost always working. His mother was busy cleaning around the house and taking care of him. His grandma was always there for him if he needed her and his grandpa spent a lot of time with him. Growing up, Gene made a lot of mistakes. He was a menace to those around him most of the time. Sometimes, he was a good boy. Gene almost always thought he had to be the same as everyone else to fit in with the crowds around him, but sometimes he didn't and lived by his own standards. Gene spent a lot of time worrying about others. Sometimes he spent a lot of time worrying about himself. He was a slow learner, but he knew math, reading and writing quite well.
