I noticed Suge say she had read it but was wondering who else has. Its a really awesome series.

also just little background. Salvatore came up with the storyline, but then handed that storyline to 6 up and coming writers to actually WRITE the books. So its Salvatores story, but not his writing. Its pretty neat because each book has a little bit different feel and they have their own ways of describing things.

^^ I am planning on reading this series after I finish the Drizz't books...but I only got one person to ask about them. So what do you guys really think? Are they worth owning would you read them over and over again?

I'm on book 1 of the series and it's actually not bad.

I'm not the type to read books over again. I simply don't have time, and there is always another book that needs reading on the horizon =P I simply like owning things. I'm a collector of sorts, and its always nice to be able to lend them out to friends. wink

I've only read the first book of the series, but it's quite good. The author of the first book has a degree in psychology, so his writing was similar to psychologists and their way of thinking. I started like Gromph and Pharaun near the end, so I want to continue the series. I can't find the second book, however, and that saddens me.

I find it very interesting to read the books because there's no clear "good guy". Everyone's scheming and evil and won't flinch at dumping each other in the way to death to save themselves.

Usually, when I read a book, I subconsciously start rooting for one side or another in a conflict. But I feel almost completely neutral in this series, except for a small bit here and there.

Overall, it's very interesting and I'm enjoying the books.

But is it just me, or is there typos galore in these books? Not to mention a few mistakes here and there, like mentioning a party member doing something when said party member wasn't even nearby. Someone didn't proofread these books as diligently as I'm used to XP

xD I know this thread is years old but whatever.

I just started these. My towns comic store randomly had the first one and I'm getting the rest off amazon for pretty much just the cost of shipping. I only just started book two but it's rad so far and I can hardly wait to get to the rest.

I thought it was an interesting concept to have different writers for each book, and a pretty brave move. I don't know how many other writers would do the same (either being part of alarge collaborative thing like that or just organizing it or whatever), but maybe it's just because of what a boss Salvatore is (or how strong the ground Forgotten Realms stands on is in general)? yeah. probably. :3

Have the people who did these books done anything since? anything worth checking out?
