Is there anybody out there with any advice on it? I've had it for a very long time and I miss my writing. It just seems I can't take criticism so whenever I write something I stop because I fear it won't be to the liking of other people...like there's something incorrect or invalid when there really is no right or wrong way to write(well, there IS but you know what I mean. Everybody's style is different)

I, unfortunately, don't have any real advice on this, because I think it's different for everyone, but my friends have told me that the best way to get rid of it to write through it - you can always go back and rewrite or revise later.
Personally, I think the best way I get through it is find new inspiration. sweatdrop

I just start writing random stuff. Maybe it'll be a fan fiction, or I'll join a semi-lit RP. Just something simple to get me back into them mood of writing.
From what I can figure, a lot of "writers blocks" are caused because of a conscious or unconscious boredom with what you are writing. You've squeezed your brain as far as it will go when working on the one (or two) stories and now you don't know where to go. Your mind is bored from trying to come up with scenarios and ways to keep the story going.
So like I said, write a poem, short story, join a basic RP that might die early and just let your mind relax.

It is hard to break writer's block. I just can't seem to get over it myself. (I haven't finished any of my Fan Fictions for years.)

Hmh, I guess that depends. If the writer's block just focusses on the story I'm currently writing I try to write something different and get back to what I was doing later. If it focusses on my whole work, I wtach movies, read books and get new inspirations.^^

I find that the best way to get past writer's block is to keep writing, even if you only crank out crap full of cliches and overly simplified anecdotes, at least you're still writing. You can always go back and edit it to perfection later.
