Before I launch into all of the updates, plans, and explanations, I'd just like to say that this will be the only announcement you look at here that is this long. The reason for this (other than that I like to explain things) is because I'm sure that not everyone has been keeping up with the guild. Having said that...
New Mass-Messaging System Launched Today!
The first, biggest, and most exciting update is the launch of our new mass-messaging system. This is NOT part of the GGN system; it's a D2GtoTFO Guild program only. (Sorry to get your hopes up, other captains/VCs/Crew. =|) I, Worst December am the Messaging Team Lead, so any questions, comments, or concerns about this should be addressed to me. I will be leaving this announcement unlocked for feedback.
How does this thing work? Well, I have recruited a few of your fellow members to help me contact each one of you when an announcement is made. You should be getting this notification via comment or PM - whichever our messenger is able to reach you through. Our messengers have been assigned one page of the Guild Members list to contact when a mass-message needs sending. When new members are accepted into the guild, their names are not always put at the end of the list, so this is the best way we could think of to ensure that all of you are reached.

No, at this time there is no opting out of receiving guild notifications. We are not quite that organized yet. When this option can be accommodated, I will let you all know.

One little change to it: The required number of accepted requests has been dropped... again. It went from 50 to 30; it's now been dropped to 25.

General Guild Rules Update and Make-Over
I spent five hours of my life trying to make the Rules a little more friendly to the eyes and attention span. There have been very minor changes to the wording of several posts in there; nothing to worry about catching up on.
HOWEVER, I did update the first post, so, especially if you haven't seen it in a while, please review that post. That first post is the single most important post in the whole Rules Announcement.
The Guild Map??
Yes. I made a map of the whole guild. This announcement explains, in a little more detail, all of our sub-forums. There is also a list of the whole D2GtoTFO Team and explanations of their individual jobs, and what they can do.
It's completely linked-up, indexed, and the works. If something in there is confusing, let me (Worst December) know. Its purpose is to clarify the things in our guild, not make the confusion worse. So enjoy that~
Literature Sub-Forum Added
All you English junkies and RPers, unite! You now have an official home in the guild! By popular demand, we've added the Literature sub-forum to satisfy your literature-related itches.
Why is RP in there? I explained it in the sub-forum announcement, but to sum it up... it's because we aren't big enough to need two separate sub-forums yet. Since RP-ing and Literature kind of go together, we just have them together for now.
Miscellaneous Stuff I Wanna Tell You~
The guild's main forum has a bunch of stickies, if you missed them. Some are not as important as others, but one that I need to point out is the Account Directory Sticky. There have been a range of issues that have popped up since the start of our current thread in the chatterbox. We ask that you fill out the form in it to help us avoid any problems that we may run into in the future pertaining to multiple accounts. This isn't required, but is highly suggested by the moderating team. Thanks!

"Out of Town" Sticky for announcing extended leaves of absence.
Username/Account Change Sticky because we don't all catch on right away. ^^;;

Well congratulations! You have made it to the end of this ridiculously long announcement! I will be royally pissed off if I've forgotten to add anything here, and chances are that I have. However, I trust that my brain has remembered all of the the important points.
