((The event begins here. You must start here, and only AFTER your character is done roleplaying here may you move on to the Main Dining Hall or The Backyard Courtyard.)) Joanne Lakes, as always, is on the scene of the red carpet. The well-aged plastic-faced reporter is looking as glamorous as ever as she makes her way from star to star, nobody to nobody, quickly beating them all with questions to get answers she feels the audience may be craving, even if the questions may simply be, "And who are you?"
The camera lights flash as you step out of your ride, wave to the chauffeur to drive off as you are bombarded by a media frenzy. Within seconds there are people examining your attire and you are pushed along down the red carpet, into the hungry pit of the media. Its time to answer some questions.

Brodi squinted as he stepped out of the black limo. He brought his hand up to shield his eyes from the blinding before his eyes had adjusted to the brightness. A smile appeared on his face as his heart started to race in his chest.
This was it. He was really hear. He'd been waiting for this night to come for the past month when the agency first announced the big dinner. He looked around with his blue and brown eyes as he gave his signature goofy smile. There were so many people here, he couldn't wait to meet some new people.

Who knew taking the bus, then walking could take so long? Recks didn't have the money for a fancy ride, so he had hopped a bus. The streets were crowded, and people were everywhere. He was glad he wasn't famous yet, or else he'd never been able to get through. 'If I were famous, I'd of had the money to get a ride, though' He thought to himself with an amused grin.
But finally he had made it. His blonde curls were pulled back in a tight ponytail, and he fit his father's suit as if it were made for him. He had his guitar slung on his back, for good measure. He couldn't help the fluttering of his heart. This was the first thing like this he'd ever been too - who could blame the boy for being nervouse? Not to mention self-concious. Wow.

Joanne LakesBrodie Tyler Oh! Another celebrity - oh wait - who was that? He didn't look bad, he was rather cute. If she were younger she would totally - not get off topic! He was dressed rather nicely, though she has seen better. After all, she had been doing this for decades! He flashed a goofy smile, how amateur, yet adorable in a sense. "And who are you?" she asked in a positively delightfully bitchy patronizing tone with a wide grin, flashing her fake pearly whites. It wasn't that she meant to come across as a b***h, she just simply was a b***h. But that's what has made her famous.
Recks Aldwin Another man entered her sight in the corner of her eye. He had long blonde hair, but it was pulled back nicely. But she didn't see this man pull up in a limo. Did he WALK here? Is he even a star? Is he even on the guest list? She'll make her round of questions with him next and make sure that he is in fact on the guest list.

He looked over to the woman that came up to him, barley hearing her question over the roaring crowd. He recognized her immediately from all the award shows the watched with his sisters.
"I'm Brodi Tyler, aspiring percussionist," He said as he held out his hand to grasp hers. "It's a pleasure to meet you Mrs. Lakes." He said as his smile widened (if it possibly could). He couldn't wait to tell his sisters he was talking to Joanne Lakes.

Bret herself was even amazed at how nervous she was. She had just gotten signed by this agency! She hadn't even done a show yet, but she was expected to go to a red carpet event and hobnob with the celebrities?! This was a disaster. She could not see this night going well. The only ones who were going to benefit from this were the paparazzi. She could see the headlines now... 'Red-headed nobody face plants into red carpet'.
Yes, this was going to be interesting. She was determined to see the night through, though. The agency told her this would help her career, and she would endure it as best she could.
'Just think of this as a role,' she told herself. 'You're not you. You're the famous Broadway actress and choreographer Bret Andres. Channel Bob Fosse.'
With that in mind, she stepped out of the backseat of the rental car (a neighbor offered to drive her) and struck a pose at the end of the red carpet. Black purse clutched in her hands, she looked out beneath carefully curled auburn hair and flashed a coy smile at the nearest group of people.
'Here we go!'

Recks recognized the woman in red as Joanne Lakes. He knew there was no escape. Trying to duck away would be useless, so he just gave that sweet boy-ish smile he had, before looking at the gathered crowed -- he couldn't imagine ever getting used to so many people~

Joanne LakesBrodie Tyler Joanne nearly blushed. Of course, none of this could be seen behind the incredibly large amount of Botox she had injected into her face. Her face was frozen plastic at its finest (though most say at its worst). She'll make sure that this interview makes it to television for his sweet compliment! "Aspiring percussionist, that's fascinating!" she exclaimed, the fakeness of her enthusiasm ringing clear. She grabbed the guest list and looked at it, examining the seating chart. "Lets see...you are sitting with Kacey Cherry, singer of this summer's hit I Licked a Girl! Aren't you a lucky one?" She then began her bombardment of questions. "Are you working on anything at the moment? Have you met anyone in the Walk of Fame agency? Are you single?" That last question just slipped out, she probably shouldn't have asked that.
Bret Andrews Oh, a girl! She was dressed rather cute, a nice short dress for the occasion. She couldn't recognize this girl either, though she posed for the photographers rather nicely. She seemed to have a fair amount of grace...so far.

Riley was seriously starting to regret her choice of such a short dress as soon as she stepped out of the limo. She carefully pushed her styled hair back from her eyes and smiled brightly to her chaufer as he drove away from the curb. They had chatted a bit, after she had convinced him she thought it a little silly to ride so far and not say a word.
She tried to find people she knew. Ahead of her was her dance partner, Zip, being bombarded with cameras and reporters. He had sent her a few emails since they had danced together, more than she though such a celebrity to do, and thought that maybe she had made an impression on him. He even had offered to put her in contact with some of his contacts.
The young Egyptian girl spotted Brodi being interviewed by a blonde woman, and made a mental note to seek him out later. In the mean time, she supposed it was time to face all these people, and she started to stride forward, more confidently then she felt.

Bret began her slow walk down the red carpet, being careful not to trip on any dress hems or even her own feet. She paused every once in a while to smile at the nearest photographer. So far so good! As she walked, she took the opportunity to glance around her. So many people! And she recognized quite a few of them. She wasn't the most up to date when it came to celebrity gossip, but she knew enough.
FLASH!
A sudden camera flash caught her by surprise and she stumbled a bit. Oh great, not even five minutes in! She grabbed the nearest thing to steady herself, which happened to be the arm of some blond guy with a guitar. Thinking quickly, she reached and tucked her arm in his as if the whole thing had been planned. She grinned at the nearest camera and prayed she wasn't blushing horribly.
"I am SO sorry," she said to the man under her breath, still smiling. Certainly a great way to make an impression.

He continued to smile, looking down at the back of the guest list as Joanne read through. Kacey Cherry. He had heard of her song, but never had the chance to listen to it himself, at least all the way through. He couldn't wait to see what she or the other people were like.
As she started her questions, he flashed back to the episode of America's New Top Model that his sisters made him watch and think of the correct ways to answer each question, making a note not to mention any names.
"Right now no, I'm just really trying to stand on my feet in the agency. Growing up taking care of four sisters to working in the agency is a big jump. It almost feels like there's too much time to myself." He said as he let out a laugh.
"I have met a few people in the agency. It seems like everyone stops by the same Cafe." He laughed again, not looking away from Joanne Lakes. He knew not to be distracted by the flashes, and the best interviewees had their attention focused on the interviewer.
He couldn't help but blush himself at the last question, "Yes, yes I am. Though my sisters would probably kill me if I went home the same." He smiled another goofy smile, trying to make a joke. He wasn't sure if it worked.

"Wha?!" Recks didn't know who had grabbed him, till he looked and saw the red head. The startled expression of his face was not missed by the camras, and neither was the confused blush on his face. He rubbed the back of his neck, not knowing what to say to this stranger. "Ummm, hi there?" he tried to grin, but it came out all nervouse. Boy was he ever more self-concious now than ever before!

Joanne LakesBrodie Tyler "Oh they would now, would they?" she asked. She meant to laugh, but the botox on her face restricted her from doing so. She hoped that he got the picture that she enjoyed the joke, though. She discreetly slipped him a paper with her number, gave him a little wink and allowed him to move on into the dining hall or to the back courtyard.
Recks Aldwin & Bret Andrews Perhaps the new girl wasn't as graceful as Joanne had thought her to be. She stumbled right into that boy who had walked here. She noticed a lot of camera flashes towards them, no doubt capturing the priceless moment. Poor girl, it will take time for her to recover from that media mess. She may think or hope that nobody noticed her fall, but when under the microscope of the paparazzi, NOTHING goes unnoticed. She quickly made her way over to them to begin her interview with the both of them. "Why hello there!" she exclaimed to the both of them. "My goodness, girl, are you alright? That was quite an embarrassing fall." She hoped not to sound too mean. "Don't worry, I'll have your accident be cut from any video I can get my hands on." She winked at them both teasingly. Her eye got stuck, the plastic won't fold back. She had to use her finger to correct it...she'll make sure that gets cut from the video as well. "May I ask for your names?"
Riley Daima Another girl caught Joanne's eye, this one stuck out particularly. She was wearing a strange exotic garb, it was rather appealing. Joanne was able to recognize the girl quickly, but couldn't quite place the name. She remembered her as Zip Afron's dancing partner and that she was Egyptian. She'll definitely be an interesting one to interview!

Now Bret's face was surely flushed and she turned away from the cameras, leaving them with lovely photos of the back of her head. She pulled her amr away and smiled sheepishly at the man, her 'cool veneer' slipping away. She got a good look at him for the first time and mentally kicked herself again. He was cute. Of course he was cute, he was on the red carpet. He looked strangely familiar too. As if she'd seen him somewhere before. Maybe he was with the agency?
"I am so so sorry. I tripped, and your arm was just there. I hope I didn't offend you."
She resisted the impulse to wring her hands or tuck her hair behind her ears incessantly, two nervous habits of hers. Oh man, she'd managed to keep herself from landing face first in the carpet, but at the expense of someone else. She felt horrible and only prayed he'd forgive her.

He gave a soft nod and made his way down the rest of the red carpet, slipping the piece of paper into his jacket pocket, making a note to look at it later. After all, he didn't want some nasty rumors of him spreading around on his debut.
He made a quick glance around the rest of the crowd to see who was behind him to see what looked like a long haired Riley. He made a mental note to talk to her later.
