I got a Snow Day today!
Its like the frist time our school distrct has had one since I got in high school. I have spent most of the moring reading all the books I got for Christmas.
Hi I am Obach Stove I don't post here much because of my genreal shyness. I am also the president of the unoffical MusicBitch fan club. I heart Ana!
List of Books I am reading or plan to read today 1)The Machinery of Freedom by David D. Friedman 2)Total Freedom by Chris Matthew Sciabarra 3)Capitalism, Socialism, and Democracy by Joseph A. Schumpeter 4) Stoic Philosophy of Seneca Essays and Letters by Seneca 5) The Mystery of Capital by Hernando Desoto, Hernando de Soto (I am doing a book report on this one) 6)Open Society and Its Enemies (Volume 2) by Karl Raimund Popper 7)The Emperor's Handbook by Marcus Aurelius cool Human Action: A Treatise on Economics by Ludwig von Mises 9) Principles of Economics by Alfred Marshall
Good thing there is a a snow day today I didn't study for the AP Econ test that was suppose to happen to today. I hope to watch my brother play the new Metal Gear game he got, I love the cut scencs.
So if anyone else is here you can talk about Snow days, or Metal Gear, or books your reading or anything really. I am kinda loney stare

It's finally snowing a tiny bit where I am. . .but the accursed sun keeps showing up and ruining it. Anyway.
I haven't read a book in a while, mostly because I need some new ones. . .

gonk No snowday here, and my class ain't until 5:30pm.
But I've got a nifty lost of s**t to read...
James Joyce - "A Portrait of the Artist as a Young man" --A semiautobiography.
Brian Francis - "Fruit" -- A story about a fat boy going through puberty in 1984 and one day his nipples grow to the size of cherries and threaten to expose all of his dirty little perverted secrets if he doesn't do what they tell him.
Alan Cumyn - "Losing it" -- A boring soulless professor gets brought back to live wtih a lively and kinky asian student of his who knows his secret fetish.
Dr. Elaine N. Aron -- "The Highly Sensitive Person" -- Which I am
"Queer Eye for the Straight Guy's Guide[...]" -- Because, well, I love the TV show and I could use the help but I don't live in New York.
James Clavell - "Gaijin" -- No clue. I know it's about japaense people, white people, some sex, lots of fighting and 2000 pages. I only got this book because I read "Shogun" Which was pretty damn good.
Maurine / Roche - "Meditation 24/7" -- BecauseI want to learn...
And s**t I'm supposed to be reading but won't because I just don't feel like reading all that in 8 hours before class. gonk
The World's Religions, Anthology of World Scriptures, The Bhagavad Gita, Tao Te Ching, and The Bible.

You got a snow day. I got a snow day. Why is that? Because you live by me. We haven't had a snowday in like five years. And neither have you. Because we live close. And I still want to know where you live.

I feel jealous. We have so far gotten one, short, less than an inch deep early flurry, and lots of rain. -_- No snow days here.
As for books, I can't wait to read Lireal, the sequel to Sabriel, but I seem to have misplaced it. >_<

Snow...what's that? sweatdrop We never have snow...because I live in a desert. I've just been reading this book by Juanita Bynum called " Matters of the Heart". I just finished another book called " God's Armor Bearers". I enjoy reading teh spiritual material.

redface You guys are too much for me. sweatdrop I'm in the middle of a Stephen King phase. I'm reading both Salem's Lot and The Dark Tower Series. I'm up to The Wolves of Calla. I guess the reason I don't read books that count as "intellectually stimulating" is because I am an english major. I read those books all of the time. On my free time I read the trash...although...thanks to one of our teachers he has us seeing everything with a critical literary eye. I might have to drop down to start reading RL Stine or Harlequin novels to get out of it. sweatdrop Why can't I have a mindless read anymore!? gonk
And snow? It never falls here until late Jan, Feb, or March. But when it does...it has been falling in spades.... stressed
