I don't have a radio in my car, but I love me some 8-tracks! |

I just wanted to know what kind of radio stations everyone listens to.
That's about it...
I listen to Real Radio (local to Central Florida) and XM 152 (one of the Real Radio shows is aired there). Sad thing is, it's the only decent radio station left around here outside of NPR. Which isn't saying much..

I used to be a huge fan of Y100 (from Philly, until it was taken off the air), but now I stick to my Sirius radio in the car (though depending where I'm going I'll sometimes tune into Z100 (NYC) or DC101. I'm quite disheartened by the lack of decent radio stations these days, though Sirius has been great for both music and talk radio.

I like 103.5 KTU, 98.7 KISS FM, POWER 105.1, 106.7 LITE FM, and (my favorite) 107.5 WBLS. All of it is NYC-based.

At first it was 101.1 CBS FM in New York with Cousin Brucie and Bob Shannon.
Then my parents found New Jersey 101.5 with John & Ken and Jim Gearhart.
Finally, I got XM in my car and listen to the old time radio, showtunes channel, 40, 50, 60, 70's music.

Burn the Land & Boil the Sea... I listen to 93.9 The River out of Detroit/Windsor almost exclusively if I'm going to bother at all. Once in a while I might surf over to 93.1 Doug FM since they literally play EVERYTHING (good, bad, AND ugly lol), but that's rare.
We got some royal stinkers for choices in SE Lower Michigan. We had a couple stations that used to be REALLY good (R.I.P. 89X & WRIF. You sell-outs!), but they all went total crap over the last few years. I usually just grab a few mp3 discs I ripped and play them instead.

when I'm home in Utah I like to listen to x96, the alternative station there (listen online at www.x96.com) Right now I'm in Dubai and finding a new station to listen to has been a challenge, but I finally found Dubai 92. they play a lot of good stuff, and the morning show is pretty funny smile
Have any of you ever noticed how when you first move to a new place, and you start to listen to the radio it's kind of odd to hear the station name and the name of the city your in? it makes it more real that you're in a different place dosen't it?

I also listen to XM 47 (Ethel), but I haven't lately. Though I've heard that they just changed the name. :/ I liked the "I Love Lucy" reference stations...though there never was a Ricky. xd

I hate our radio stations here. They suck. We use to have X103.9 but I think politics got in the way. Now I do the IPOD hooked into my car thingy. On a serious note I have 90.3 KAZU for all my stock market and political news
