First and foremost I would like to welcome you to the realms of "Project Nexus", for the last month or so this subject has remained a well kept secret, remaining under development and shrouded in secrecy as it has been subject to an immense amount of testing. With the help of my resident guinea-pigs and those who volunteered IRL to help me ensure that everything was working, I am now proud to present to you the Alpha stage of "Project Nexus - Battle System". The system itself works off a 'level' system that is maintained and upheld by myself - each level (from what you will see later) will enable you to allow your Elysian to become significantly more powerful than an Elysian that has not been Roleplayed. Note that this battle system must not be argued against and is set in stone until further developments are made to the system itself. It would be advisable to remember that rules, spells or feats are subject to change without warning due to the phase in which Nexus is going through but due to the stability of the battle system itself, it had been decided that the Battle System of Project Nexus is to be released. For those of you who wish to know if this system will apply to the Familiars, you will be pleased to know that a mini-battle system is under development at this moment in time but is not set for release until later.

Project Nexus is not a difficult system to understand whenever it is presented to you in a readable format. Alongside my job as a developer I also had to figure out a method in which to explain to you the general workings of the system - I've decided that the most appropriate way is to give you a general layout of how your 'Stat Sheet' will work and how you can use it to the best of your ability. Below, is a basic sheet revealing precisely what is going to be recorded for your Elysian: Statistics Sheet [General Statistics] Constitution - Score Here Dexterity - Score Here Strength - Score Here Wisdom - Score Here Intelligence - Score Here Charisma - Score Here
Hit Points - Noted Here
Level - Level Noted Here Experience - Experience Noted Here
[Feat List] Maximum of eight feats can be chosen.
[Spell List] Spells do not come every level. A new spell level comes at approximately every three levels - this is difficult for a player to track and therefore whenever your Elysian levels up and it's time for them to choose another spell to learn one of the members of staff will PM you and notify you of this - you must then make your choice.
The number of spells you can cast per day will also be noted down by one of the members of staff, the ammount you can cast is dependant both on your statistics and level.
[Items Here] This is an option that is currently under debate - there is a possibility that it may happen but due to the extra work load it may be avoided.

A number of issues will no doubt be raised in relation to the general workings of Project Nexus, below are some of the questions thrown towards me during development - I hope they will answer whatever questions you may have for me.
1. How are the statistics chosen? Myself or another staff member will 'roll' eight numbers, we will then PM you with these numbers and ask you to allocate six of those numbers to your statistics - if you happen to have one very high roll and wish to take it then you must take one of the lowest rolls as well...this is to help maintain balance within the game.
2. How do you level up? Part of my job is to monitor your activity, the more active you are within the guild/thread (through RP and journal writing) the more experience you will gain. I will not divulge how much experience you will get for each activity and nor will I tell you which activities gain you experience.
3. Do you get experience bonuses for events? Yes, whether it be a mini quest or an all out quest you will no doubt be granted experience for it.
4. Can I bribe you into getting experience/levels? Due to the fact that I'm a DM elsewhere as well and suffer from this a lot I have developed a policy of no tolerance - if you ask for levels or experience you will be deleveled.
5. How are Hit Points calculated? With a lot of mathematical formula - nah just kidding, it's rather complicated when set down on paper so just rely on me for this one alright?
6. What about magical damage? Unless you've got "Maximise Spell" then you'll have to leave that to myself or another of the shop owners in order to get your damage reading.
7. For those of us who don't have Elysians can we still get experience? To a point, if you are continually active within the thread/guild despite not having an Elysian your Elysian will be boosted to level two the moment it emerges from its Crystal (provided you get one).
8. OMG! What about Familiars, can they take part? I'm definately not ruling it out but for now it's on the back burner until the Elysians skills are stabilised.
If you have any more questions PM Project Nexus and not a normal employee account - Thank you.

Tips for Allocating Statistics
Consider the following:-
1. What element is your Elysian? 2. What spells do you want to use? 3. What do these spells require to be as powerful as they can be? 4. Do you want your Elysian to be more physically strong? 5. Which statistic will help you maximise the number of spells you can use per day? 6. Are you going to multiclass?
Tips for Allocating Spells
Consider the following:-
1. Do they work RP wise for your character? 2. Can you see these spells as being useful in a team? 3. Can you see your Elysian using these spells properly? 4. Do you have problems with the multiclass penalties? 5. Do you have the right statistics for the spells to be strong enough?
Tips for Allocating Feats
Consider the Following:-
1. Which spells do you have and what statistics do they requires? 2. What is best in a team? 3. What is best RP wise? 4. What is best for your solo-adventures. 5. Will it help in the long run?
