--All Posts in the Journal by anyone other than myself (Vashtya) or the staff, is to made IC (in character). That includes gift drop-offs. <3.
--When posting IC, I'd prefer it be done in a third person manner, like "The young man crept up to the door, his palms sweating nervously", as opposed to "*creeps up to the door*".
--DO NOT ask me about buying Shakti. No ifs, ands, or buts. I'm usually pretty tolerant, but doing that's likely to earn you one've my boots...up yer rear. heart .

Overall: Outgoing and somewhat outrageous at times, Vashtya means well, and although he may act like the irresponsible flirt, he's not one to shun from what he sees as necessary responsibilities. Can be rather clumsy, although he does his best to hide those awkward moments with a wink and an offhand comment.
|-History-|
Always something of a rebel, Vashtya opted for the career of a mercenary early on, at about the age of 15, against his dying mother's wishes--she had hoped for him to become an acedemic who studied the application of magics of different kinds, since he'd always shown an aptitude for magical use. While he agreed that perhaps his chosen career was not the most...reliable, the young half-elf had long since decided that a life buried in books would bore him to tears.
Since he lacked formal training in the magical arts, the young mercenary's weapon of choice was a trusty broadsword, and a pair of small, sharp knives. Although better than average with the weapons, he was no legend-in-the-making, much is the pity. Also, as months turned to years, the young man grew more and more restless--he didn't enjoy the killing, or the constant wariness that one had to maintain in his current career path.
Then, at a celebration he was attending with a potential client, an elderly man approached the far younger Vashtya and proposed that he take him on as a pupil. Almost without hesitation, Vashtya accepted, and hasn't looked back since. Although he's still no expert, his natural inclination is towards lightning-based magics, which may or may not help him when it comes to dealing with hydra when she emerges from her crystalline stage.

Gender: Male
Personality: Outgoing and playful, he's full of mischief, and hard to keep track of when he really wants to be out and about--however, he and Vash have a truce, of sorts--the gaian doesn't rein Mikhail in unnecessarily, and so the young sion will *usually* acquiesce to any reasonable request that is put forth.
Likes: Playing at the beach, swimming, Titain, Vashtya, and Sid.
Dislikes Stormy weather, strict rules, and being told what to do. Name: Sid
Gender: Male
Personality: Devilishly sly, Sid can be rather creepy to those who don't know quite what to expect. He's also morbidly inquisitive, and keeps Vashtya on his toes. This lad likes to play mind-games, and uses his quick wits to keep himself firmly in control of most situations.
When Vashtya first moved into their current home (Sid already in residence), the young winged boy crept through a secret passage and did his best to thoroughly shock Vash. Fortunately for Vash, rather than having a heart attack, he put two and two together, and in so doing, earned the youngster's slightly grudging respect.
Likes: Fish, Salmon (a stuffed bear Vash gave him), Mikhail, and sometimes, on a good day, Kovu.
Dislikes: Being treated like a child, feeling out of control, being at a disadvantage. Name: Whisp (and Dale, his Familiar)

Gender: Male
Personality: Playful and good-natured, he's easygoing, almost in the extreme.
Likes: Wintar, Vash, Dale, Xue'yin, and playing in a field of grass.

Gender: Female
Personality: Mysterious and playful, she's already showing signs of being quite cruel (like when a cat will play with a mouse before devouring it), when she sees fit. Can be selfish and quite irritable when she doesn't get her way.
Likes: Whisp, Vashtya (he gives her treats), being pampered.
Dislikes Being thwarted, not getting her way, and getting her feet wet. Name: Kei
Species: Puri
Gender: Male
Personality: Outgoing and inquisitive, he loves being around people, and other puris. Currently, he's a bit stir-crazy, as Vashtya's kept him at home ever since the puri epidemic broke out a month or so ago.
Likes: Being petted, meeting new people and puris, being allowed to sleep on Vash's bed.
Dislikes Being left behind, and being forced to sleep on the floor with Vash's Nieken horde. Name: Challen
Species: Nieken
Gender: Male
Personality: Playful and tolerant, Challen was one of the original flatsale nieken released to gaians, and, as such, has earned himself his occasional moments of crankiness, usually directed at Vincent.
He loves getting underfoot, and, with the help of his son, Mischief, and granddaughter, Itazura, torments Vash whenever he can.
Likes: Being allowed to follow Vash whenever the gaian leaves the house, pestering Vash, wrestling with Mischief and Itazura, and getting the better of Vincent.
Dislikes Being left behind, getting tripped over (sometimes hurts!), and sometimes, Vincent. Name: Mischief
Species: Nieken
Gender: Male
Personality: Impish and playful, Mischief lives up to his name! He takes after his father, except that he's a bit more energetic, and far more easily enthused into trying new things.
Likes: Tussling with his father and daughter, following Kei around (the puri hates it xD), and sleeping in the sunshine.
Dislikes Facing the music for his sometime-troublemaking, and swimming. Name: Itazura
Species: Nieken
Gender: Female
Personality: Needless to say, when it comes to causing trouble, she learned from the best--in fact, when it comes down to it, this Nie even wears her father out, at times. Also, because of her youth, and thus, smallish size, she can fit into the must inopportune places...
Likes: Jumping out at other people/creatures from hiding spots, exploring nooks and crannies.
Dislikes Being confined, and not being allowed to indulge in her curiosity. Name: Vincent Valentine
Species: Nieken
Gender: Male
Personality: Sullen and withdrawn, Vincent is rather irritable, for the most part--especially when it concerns squealing fangirlishness. Most days, all he wants is to be left alone, although he will get up and follow Vashtya around when he notices that the gaian is about to leave the house.
Whenever he can, Vincent will spend hours, even a day or two, wandering the woodlands outside of the main house, enjoying the solitude.
Likes: Being left alone, irritating Challen, walking quietly alongside Vash when the half-elf has his occasional bouts of pondering.
Dislikes Being disturbed, putting up with loud, boistrous groups of people, cuddling. So unmanly, that cuddling stuff. >.>

When he first settled in Gaia (where he originally comes from, only Vash knows...and he's not telling), he purchased a large home just outside of Durem, as well as property that extended into heavy forest, and down to include a lake (path begins just alongside the house and extends down behind it). The house itself is spacious and comfortable, with a large kitchen and dining room just off to the right as one walks in the front door. Directly across from the Dining room is a large living room area, and right in front of the entryway doors is a staircase. Back behind the staircase, living room and kitchen/dining room is a gigantic library, although most of the shelves still lie empty, and there are stacks of boxes, presumably full of books, strewn about the floor.
Upstairs are the bedrooms, and a small office where Vashtya keeps his bookkeeping materials--this "den" is usually messy enough to legally be considered a hazard area. Bedroom-wise, there's a bedroom each for Vashtya and Sid, and then a number of guest bedrooms, although most of these are closed up, and the furniture inside gathers dust.
