It is sort of a major part in Crisis Core Final Fantasy 7. I too thought it might be pretty good if they did. I would love to go watch it in a theatre.

Sorry the only Loveless I have see written was a risk-a manga.
I am sure there is some half translated end of the world type story/play out there that the loveless theme was based on. From what we know from Crisis Core it would be interesting to see what we could find out written that relates to it's theme. What the play is actually about and what we understand what the characters believe it is about could make for a very difficult search. The story it's self didn't seem to be the focus but rather what people saw in it. When you feel that you do not fit in then looking deeper into something others take for granted can be a great source of comfort. Funny that Cid found comfort in the play as well.

I'm curious too, I would love to read it or go watch it....Genesis is one of my Favorites (not many aren't my favorites...except hojo...hate his gutts)
Hm...I'll look around and tell you my findings once i get the time ( as soon as school gets off my back.)

this is the whole poem that genesis quotes throughout crisis core

Prologue (Poem)
When the war of the beasts brings about the world’s end
The goddess descends from the sky
Wings of light and dark spread afar
She guides us to bliss, her gift everlasting

Prologue (Interpreted)
When the war of the beasts brings about the world’s end
The goddess descends from the sky

Wings of light and dark spread afar
She guides us to bliss, her gift everlasting

Act I (Poem)
Infinite in mystery is the gift of the goddess
We seek it thus, and take to the sky
Ripples form on the water’s surface
The wandering soul knows no rest.

Act I (Interpreted)
The infinite mystery
The gift of the goddess is what the three men seek
But their fates are scattered by war

One is taken captured, one flies away
And the last becomes a hero

But the three are still bound by a solemn oath
To seek the answer together, once again

Act II (Poem)
There is no hate, only joy
For you are beloved by the goddess
Hero of the dawn, Healer of worlds

Dreams of the morrow hath the shattered soul
Pride is lost
Wings stripped away, the end is nigh

Act II (Interpreted)
Though the prisoner escapes, he is gravely wounded
His life is saved, however
By a woman of the opposing nation

He begins a life of seclusion with her
Which seems to hold the promise of eternal bliss

But as happiness grows, so does guilt
Of not fulfilling the oath to his friends

Act III (Poem)
My friend, do you fly away now?
To a world that abhors you and I?
All that awaits you is a somber morrow
No matter where the winds may blow

My friend, your desire
Is the bringer of life, the gift of the goddess

Even if the morrow is barren of promises
Nothing shall forestall my return

Act III (Interpreted)
As the war sends the world hurtling towards destruction
The prisoner departs with his newfound love
And embarks on a new journey

He is guided by hope that the gift will bring bliss
And the oath that he swore to his friends

Though no oath is shared between the lovers
In their hearts they know they will meet again

Act IV (Poem)
My friend, the fates are cruel
There are no dreams, no honor remains
The arrow has left the bow of the goddess

My soul, corrupted by vengeance
Hath endured torment, to find the end of the journey
In my own salvation
And your eternal slumber

Legend shall speak
Of sacrifice at world’s end
The wind sails over the water’s surface
Quietly, but surely

Act V (Poem)
Even if the morrow is barren of promises
Nothing shall forestall my return
To become the dew that quenches the land
To spare the sands, the seas, the skies
I offer thee this silent sacrifice

the loveless from ff7, the poster seen in migar is actually for the album loveless by the band my bloody valentine. you can see my bloody valentine written on it, and the girl on the poster looks like the lead singer of the band, but later on in the ff7 "universe" it was written to b a play like it is in crisis core. that was an interesting factoid i read somewhere, and i ended up running out to by that album and sure enough the lead singer looks like the poster in the game, and i took a closer look at the poster in a screen shot and lov and behold it does say my bloody valentine.

A very intriguing poem, though very sad.
