Hi everyone! Since this is my first journal post, I guess I had better introduce myself. My name's Evelyn Walters, and I'm nineteen. I'm writing this from the New York Public Library. I just got off of work about a half hour ago (busy day - I'm so exhausted!), and I decided to stop by and return the book I've had out and get a new one. When I left home two months ago, I only took my two favorite books with me (Crime and Punishment and The Princess Bride); I do need variety though, of course. I'm sure you know how it is. I've spent the last couple nights over by Bryant Park, which I guess is pretty nice. God, I never thought I'd find myself saying that living anywhere beside a normal apartment is acceptable, nevermind "pretty nice." Anyway, I'm not sure how much I'll be able to update this. It mostly depends how often I'm able to swing by the library (though I usually end up here every other day or so, if I've been at work), or if I'm even able to afford to return to school next semester. So. I guess that's all for now!

Hey Evelyn!
I love the Princess Bride - it's even more hilarious than the movie, which is pretty hilarious itself.
Your apartment sounds nice, but I'm unsure what you mean by 'normal.' Is it fancy, or is there something strange about it?
I hope you're able to return to school, but don't work too hard.

Well, um, there's the thing. When I said "over by Bryant Park," I meant "on a bench just outside of the park." My mother kicked me out a couple months ago, and my dad's fighting overseas (they're divorced), so I've been on my own for a little while. I also haven't told Dad what happened yet. I'm getting by though. I'm fine.
I had a really strange dream last night. I was in this really weird place, a meadow that lead to a forest, and then this great hall of sorts, and it all seemed so real. And in the hall there were these elf-like people, and they showed me to a room where I was supposed to sleep. When I woke up though, I was in New York, like usual. Just a crazy dream, I guess, huh?

You never know the meaning behind dreams though. And I'm so sorry about you getting kicked out. That must be horrible. I just hope everything gets better for you.
