Yeah, we're just starting to get hit by Hannah's northern most band of rain right now. And currently our county is in a flash flood warning and a high wind advisory.
But the worst is yet to come, apparently it's suppose to hit our area come sometime between 3pm and 8pm tomorrow. x.x; So, yeah, I'll be at work when we get hit. . . right next to a whole bunch of water.
Yay. gonk

I thought they evacuated areas that were in the direct path of a hurricane. If you are lucky, you won't have to go to work.

cosplay boy I thought they evacuated areas that were in the direct path of a hurricane. If you are lucky, you won't have to go to work. Only for those on the North Carolina coast *like my two brothers and mother* We're going to get hit by the left overs of Hannah sometime this afternoon while I'm at work. <.< I just wish they would call and say that I didn't have to go to work due to the fact that our store is like 50ft away from the Inner Harbor.

Oh yeah, especially when we had to close early cuz the Inner Harbor started getting a little bit of flooding.
XD They didn't want to risk it.

My driveway goes up and sometimes two feet of water collects there and in parts of our yard and the neighbors yard across the street, but that's the most of a flood I've ever seen. xD

I still remember the flood of 1997 in Ohio. That was enough for me.
The real good part about where we live is, were on top of a hill. So no flooding for us. biggrin
The downside to living on a hill. The surrounding area can get flooded and then you cant leave. gonk

The 97 flood here was terrible, and I since I moved to Hamilton, the Miami River, not the Ohio is what we have to be careful of- and it's floodstage is a lot less than the Ohio's. I live on the west side, across the bridges from downtown Hamilton and Fairfield, where I used to live. So far, with all the spring rains, there weren't too many problems with floods; at least not like in past years. Some weird places nowhere near rivers or streams flood in the spring - like this one city called Sharonville- a northern suburb of Cincinnati. The main intersection right off I275 will flood and it spreads really fast closing off 2 of the most heavily travelled roads in the area. UPS and FedEx get ground to a halt when that area floods because their terminals are right in that area!

A lot of people are probably getting ready for all the rain that Hurricane Ike is going to dump on the entire eastern and middle sections of the US.
If it is like previous hurricanes, we will get lots of thunderstorms and tornadoes spawned by it after it hits inland and the winds swing it northward towards Canada and the NE.
