Hey, everyone,
I'm just wondering, how did y'all start drawing? Or painting or whatever artistic thing that you're good at?
Well, I love to draw, and I think that I started when I first read manga and I loved the mangaka's drawings...So I just wanted to see if I could do the same thing!

*looks in thought* well, I started drawing when I was only really little; it was mostly out of bordom I imagine but it turned into something I loved. When I used to go on holidays I had nothing beter to do on those boring nights so I just pulled out my journal and drew away. Back then I used to draw animals though.
I started drawing the manga style which I do now, however, because I loved DBZ and wanted to make my own characters sooooo,yea. That was four years back now.

Well I think I started where many great artist's got their start. Out of boredom and lack of art skills, it was born. I'm talking of course about Stickfigures! xd

I think i started out of envy...i know it sounds bad, but, that's how it is.... When i started i was really vain, and had to be the best at everything, and my best friend could draw, and i had never done it before... ( she can still draw better than me, btw...) After i had gotten a little better, i was content with my work...

x_Method in Madness_x Well I think I started where many great artist's got their start. Out of boredom and lack of art skills, it was born. I'm talking of course about Stickfigures! xd YES! One of my old friends is AMAZING with drawing stick figures!!! blaugh

I started drawing when i was being picked on at school, i needed to express my feelings...and now i have so many amazing friends...they allways ask me for advice on how to draw! xp

my hand grabbed a pencil/crayon and then proceeded to put it to a wall/paper and thats how I started.

I had a deep love of sailor moon when I was little, and bought a pack of trading cards for them. And started drawing sailor moon by looking at the picture on the back xd , then it just progressed onward. recently i've been trying my hand at photography

I'm not quite sure the exact reason,I just remember being about 3 watching my sister draw and after that I remember being 5 and loveing to draw so much that I failed (almost) a whole year of math sweatdrop but I got better from the practice though ^_^ 3nodding

very good question. . .hmm. . .i guess because in drawing i had the power, i was the creator , i could make ppl as sad as i was or lonly or mad and angry , and it help me get throu hard times in my life =]. it helped me unlode all of thous feelings thats y i draw =^-^=

Ermmm..... lets see *sits down thinking* question How did I end up drawing anime and writing? Hmmm.... *puts on thinking face* That's it! I started drawing when I was 9. My best friend was really great at drawing anime and stuff. She and another friend of ours shared a sketch book together. I always liked looking at their drawings. That's when I started drawing stick peoplez! 4laugh I drew my first anime drawing nearing the end of last year. 4 years and i finally drew an anime! man, it took long! As for writing, well, I've liked literature ever since I was a kid. (pretty much because my mom n dad are english teachers too sweatdrop ) My best friend and I still draw but I'm the one who writes. It's sorta like a tag team. I give her my ideas and she gives me her ideas (doesn't really work out all the time sweatdrop )
(P.S. stick peoplez rule!!!!!! blaugh have you seen a stick animation? their hilarious!!)
