Gold eyes stared across the large field only to see distant mountains on the horizon. It seemed such a short distance, his eyes not even noticing that the field was larger than it appeared. They looked so small too, like if he took only a couple of steps or even jumped he could be on top of them. Of course he knew it to be impossible, but it really was amazing how small things got from a distance. Snow capped them, giving them a look of white against a darker shade of blue. Edward had never been to those mountains, and he had the sudden desire to see what they looked like while standing at the bottom of them. Would they look like they touched the sky? Maybe they would be much shorter than originally thought. Not knowing the answers to his questions was frustrating, but it proposed a challenge.
A harsh cold wind blew itself onto him, chilling him even through his clothing and causing a quick shiver to run throughout his body. Of course on this particular day it was to be colder than ice and the sun was even shining. How peculiar was that? Although he was sure it was colder for those unfortunate soquili who did not have clothing, he still wished that his coat was possibly a bit heavier and more warmth giving. But it was not to be so, and he would be happy with what he had.
A small journey to the mountains would take all day, so it was in fact a long journey, but Ed knew he could at least get half way there with the remaining light of the day. He would get there, if only to see the majestic piles of rock that gave him such awe even from such a long ways away. Nodding his head to the ideas in his head, he took a couple of steps in the direction of said piles of rock, and began a cold adventure.

So many days had passed since the young colt known as Isamu Shibuya had first attempted to flare his wings like his mother's own graceful air. But to his dismay coming fresh from the basket he didn't understand why his weren't so eager to lift him from the ground. Once they were dry though the proud son of Yuuri and Feena showed off to his siblings and others that lived in the clearing. Fanning out those huge black wings he felt extremely proud and noble of who he was.
One particular day in the preceding months toward fall Isamu ventured out noticing leaves preparing their long awaited change of a colorful palate of reds, gold, and orange. Born of late summer he would have to wait for spring but fall and winter would bring him great joy. He pictured the long days painted in white and the short days where all the brightness painted over the world. And it was indeed an amazing place to such a young colt as he briskly trotted then cantered in pure joy just admiring so many things. His heart was open much like his parents to adventuring and loving what he found.
In short today was a rich learning experience and soon he'd meet others unlike himself or his parents. Gazing upward to the sky he set his sights on the mountains and something red in the distance. Tilting his head with curiosity he took a running gallop and lifted to the sky. It was rather easy really now that he got the hang of it - a blessing when you find out appendages are useful.
Flying in toward the red object he realized it was a stallion descending immediately to investigate. Holding his head high he pranced toward the other blinking at the surroundings. Where was this place he wondered and who was this other stallion that seemed bigger then himself?

Ed felt the wind against his back and the sound of hooves hitting the ground. He quickly turned his head only to see a small foal float down near him. He jumped back in shock, and moved a few steps out of the way in case the foal did not know how to land properly. The little one had wings that vaguely reminded him of someone, and it was small in size.
As it came closer he noticed that it was actually a colt and he was instantly reminded of Alik when he was younger. When thinking of Alik it also brought a bit of sadness, which he then shook his head violently, and therein causing his braid to hit both of his shoulders and a few loose hairs to escape his braid. Staring at the colt he noticed the odd wings again, and the symbol on his shoulder and his eyes widened. This foal reminded him of the little bug, aka Feena.
“Hello little one.” Ed called to the colt, putting a small smile on his face. He would ask him, to see if his little friend had actually had kids. Wouldn’t that be dangerous for one so small as her? Then again, he hadn’t seen her in a while; she might have gotten a wee bit taller. Things can happen, strange and odd things, like little bugs getting taller. He would ask, and get his answers.

Isamu landed a little bit offkey but he quickly settled his weight finding his footing. Swishing his little tail he moved toward the other with a curious smile. His mother had mentioned someone from her past wearing a red coat, but honestly how many soquili out there probably wear re coats and have blond hair. That was some serious thinking on the colt's part if he thought long enough on it.
He looked up toward the mountains as a chilly breeze brushed through his large wings tinted in black. Shivering he looked back to the stallion and bowed his head. His father may of seemed silly and yet Yuuri was a proud stallion wanting his sons to follow in his footsteps as great sires when they grew older. Three princes to a King and his queen- a fitting family called the Shibuya.
"Hello sir, "he spoke with a distinct courteous response, "Are you thinking of traveling up to the mountains? I was unsure if I wanted to or not. My coat is making me shiver its so thin." he frowned feeling another breeze then looked back toward the mountains. It was probably colder up there then it was where he was standing just now.
"Still I think it would be good to explore those great big giants. I doubt either of my brothers would venture out this far." he mused turning back to the taller stallion. Isamu like his mother may of been small, but he carried his father's heart and he felt as tall as any colt. He was of course a prince and would not disappoint his father by being anything less or different.

Gold eyes gazed at the little one, and he to felt a shiver run through his body. It was getting colder, but the urge to move and explore was so strong that Ed was willing to travel up to the mountains. “Yeah, I was thinking about it. Thought it might be a little fun. You can come if you want.” He said, glancing at the little foal with wings.
As another gust of wind blew towards them, flinging his coat everywhere, he asked the colt, “If we are gonna go, we are going have to start right now.” If the colt got cold, he might be willing to give up his coat. Adrenaline started rushing though his body, and it just made him want to go, to run up the mountains.
Taking a step he looked over the foal before he took another. Ed was going to go with or without the foal, but he hoped he would come. He had not asked his questions yet, and they were bubbling within him, threatening to spill over.
