OK so I am a new fan of slipknot...anyone want to fill me in on band info?
I have loved mudvayne, A7x, Saliva, Disturbed, KoRn, etc for a LONG time and only recently discovered Slipknot...feel out of the loop...little help? sweatdrop

Slipknot was actually one of the first 'heavy' bands I got into back in the day... my liking for them has faded over the years. Nonetheless I reckon their latest album was at least decent.

My favorite album by Slipknot has to be Subliminal Verses. A lot of old fans don't like it, since they went a little soft, but I thought it was a great mix of hard and soft. Nearly perfect.
Plus, the lyrics are truly amazing. Listen to Vermillion (parts one or two) to get what I mean. XD Beautiful.
All Hope Is Gone is good, too. But I find that the band got to extreme in this one. It was a bad mix of soft songs (like Snuff) and really hard songs (the title track in particular). The cd, in general, sounded like none of the 9 members could make up their mind about what they wanted.
