I'm not sure how well this will do, especially with the few members we do have as it is, but I wanted to get all of your opinions on two subjects.
The first: What are all of your feelings on maybe starting some kind of member awards for the guild? I wouldn't mind taking care of the events and even making the graphics for the awards, but I wasn't sure how well participation would be, especially considering our small size as it stands right now. I belong to a few other forums that have award systems like this and they seem to be loved and hated just about the same. Some people like the idea and use it as an opportunity to give fellow guild/forum members a pat on the back, whereas other people use it as an opportunity to gripe and moan about how much of a populairty contest it is and how they'll never win, etc. I was curious to see if you guys would maybe be interested in doing something like this later when we have more members, or if it would be a bad idea.
The second: I think a great way to keep all of our members active would be to hold contests and give away prizes. But all of this would require donations of items and gold... and it would also mean that we would have to come up with some ideas for contests in the first place. XD
Please add or discuss any ideas or input you might have on how to improve the guild.

I think that both are a good idea as they might inspire guild participation. As well as an activity for the guild so we're not just sitting here discussing how evil we are and not doing anything to prove it....

Yeah. I was hoping to find a way to help boost member activity. I've noticed a few members that have joined recently but haven't posted or really participated.
I also heard that there's going to be a subforum feature released for the guild forms soon. Maybe we could come up with some ideas for some subforums.

Oh, those new members are just a couple of my friends. They don't go on Gaia often.
The contests and whatnot are a great idea. But the turnout WOULD be better with more members... So keep your eye out and recruit when you feel like it.

I think that both are great ideas! For a contest you could have people think up the most horrible, unbelievable torture they can imagine or something like that. biggrin If I get any more ideas I will let you know!

I suppose we could, but we need people to donate items to the guild and stuff. Maybe just like small unisex items under 100 gold.

Wow, the only thing I can think of that's that cheap is peasant clothing... and those are sex specific.
